Wonderful experience. Love our new landscape lighting with updated wiring and transformers. Looks beautiful and perfect for our front and backyard. Great price and courteous workers. Sam was the best and made the whole process seamless. read more

Sam called me right away after I submitted my request on Yelp. I have a large house with three outdoor lighting circuits. All of them were in various stages of disrepair, and I could never seem to get them all to work at once. He came right out, told me what was worth fixing (some of my very expensive fixtures) and what was better to replace. He repaired all my front yard lighting and replaced everything in the backyard with new, high quality fixtures. In addition, he added some new ones and positioned everything to look great! I'm thrilled with the result, and would recommend Sam to anyone else who needs some lighting done. read more

I received several other quotes and all were much higher then desert landscape lighting. All the other People, electricians, handyman and other landscape lighting people told me the transformer Was broken and had to be replaced. Sam came and opened it up and said it was fine So I gave home the Job. He did the job quickly and efficiently and on budget almost half of other quotes. One larger company quoted me almost 8 times the amount He charged for the job. It is difficult to find Honest, reliable people in this town and Sam is definitely one of them. Give him a shot you won't be disappointed. read more

Sam was great. He was punctual and came back to fix an issue with the lights. Pricing is fair and straightforward. My yard's much better lit now. read more

This is an outstanding company w/ excellent customer service. I had several companies come out to my house for an estimate. Ultimately I went with Sam. He is very professional and pleasant. After the initial estimate, I had some additional ideas I wanted to go over and Sam came out a 2nd time to go over those details. The work was done professionally and on time. Price was very reasonable. And the results were fantastic... the yard truly looks like a resort! All of my neighbors have complimented the lighting. And Sam provides great service even after the job has been completed. When one of the bulbs had a light that accidentally popped out a few months after completion of the initial project, Sam had the issue taken care of quickly. All in all... I would highly recommend him! read more

I echo all the other reviews. Sam is conscientious, honest, follows-through on what he says...everything you want in a contractor. Our lights look great! It is always difficult to envision exactly what the lights will look like before installation. We had one light that was not quite how we had pictured...Sam did not hesitate to move it to a different location...no additional fee. He clearly wants his customers to be pleased with his work. We look forward to saving up a few more dollars and having him do a few more lights for us! read more

Sam is everything these reviews state and more. Very pleased with his service, honesty, and work ethic. I would recommend Sam to anyone and will use him again. read more

Our landscape lights needed attention after only 3 years and of all the contractors we called, Sam offered options to correct and/or replace the lights. He was patient, answering several emails after his initial visit and came out a second time to review and bring samples of what the new lights would look like. He didn't try to "up sell", only solve a problem. The finished product looks fabulous. He and his team were professional and took extra time to trouble shoot before completing the job. I HIGHLY recommend his company. He is honest about his time, availability and costs. Thanks Sam for a great job! read more

Sam was out to my home about six months ago and installed around 15 lights in my front and backyard.Looks really awesome I had a few neighbors comment on how good the lights looked. If you're looking to get landscaping lights done look no further as he is very well priced. He beat out the other two companies I called and it's just a super nice guy. He was on time got everything done in a timely manner was professional installed and been out to my house two time just replace a bulb and I'm pretty far out LOL... Sam the man! read more

They installed lights in both my front and backyard several months ago. Sam is the owner of this small company. I spoke to 3 other lighting contractors. Sam as both the sales consultant and the installer was most unknowable and responsive to our unique situation. He was honest, punctual and friendly during the entire process. His price was very competitive, much lower than some of the other larger companies. I recently called him to repair some damage done by our gardener. He came out immediately, fix the issue while checking and adjusting all of the lights. As a small business person I recognize and appreciate honest, friendly work and would highly recommend Sam for any landscape lighting needs. read more

I've had Sam out to fix my lights a couple times. They're outside, so they get hit by lawn mowers, rained on, baked by the sun, showered by the irrigation, etc. After two or three years, they need help. When Sam leaves, everything is working properly. Plus, he's a really nice guy. read more

We needed some low-sitting floodlights to replace the original hat lights for our new putting green, and for extra low light in our "social" area. Sam came out to Estrella Mountain Ranch to look at the yard, give an estimate, and then review fixture options. He came back to install them when they arrived from the mfr and everything looks great...and then I decided we did need the "one more" light that Sam recommended originally. He came out to install only that one as well. He also moved the original hat lights to new locations. We're really happy with the results and would definitely use them again! read more

Had some landscape lights that were not working in my front and backyard. Sam arrived at the time he told me when I set up the appointment. He was able to repair everything and now all of my lights are working! He was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. Not many lighting companies want to deal with repairs, they would rather do a whole new job which can cost quite a lot. Sam offers a great service and he also can provide a new lighting install if that is what you want. He quoted a fair price for the repair and for installing new lights in the future. If you ever want to get your outdoor lighting repaired properly and with one trip, Sam and Desert Outdoor Lighting should be the only call to make! Keep up the good work, Sam! read more

I sent Sam a message late on a Friday night when I noticed all my front landscaping lighting were not working. He responded immediately and came out first thing Monday morning. He knows his stuff and is extremely reasonable. Don't hesitate to call him. I was very happy with his service. read more

Sam is a honest professional worker. He did front and back yard lighting for my house in one day! He was fast and extremely competent. I am going to definitely call Sam again if I ever need anything for my outside lighting. read more

We had an older lighting system that needed replacement; while our existing landscapers wanted to do the work because of their familiarity with our property, I was reluctant as they did not provide much commentary as to what lights should go where. I contacted DLL - Sam came out soon after reaching him - he diligently walked the entire property, took notes, inventoried our systems, and then walked the property with me, letting me know his thoughts as to what lights to use where. Over 45 different lights were involved. It was exactly what I had been hoping for, as I am not a lighting expert by any means, but wanted to make sure certain aspects of the property (desert landscaping, architectural features, and general lighting) were addressed. He provided a quote the same day after going through his thoughts. The quote was very reasonable considering the scope. The quote also did not include a wholesale change to the system - the controllers were still in good shape, were of good quality, and were more than adequate for the overall system needs. After approval of the scope and agreement to do the work, the installation went promptly and was completed on time, and on budget. We are very pleased with the work and I would have no hesitancy to recommend DLL and Sam for such work. Thanks, Sam for doing a great job - professional all the way! read more

Sam really did a great job at my home and for the right price. He was on top of things from the start. Had fantastic communication and helped me decide what do use and where to place lights. I did about 15 lights around my property and it looks AMAZING. He even set up a wifi control so I can turn them off and on from my phone from anywhere. I HIGHLY recommend Sam and his company. read more

Although we have not made a decision yet as to what company we will hire to install our pathway lights, I do want to share that Sam from Desert Landscape Lighting was very friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. He texted when he was on his way and arrived on time. He spent a considerable amount of time with me, making sure he understood the project. He was very prompt in submitting his proposal and costs. I am awaiting a couple more bids and will update my review once a company is chosen. read more

Wow. Amazing service and work from this company. They just completed the job today at my house and could not be more pleased with the work. Communication was awesome, the owner is hands on, and they were right on time, even early. I looked around at a few other companies and glad I choose this one. Thank you Sam and team! read more

Sam is the best. We received multiple bids for our subdivision home outdoor lighting. All of the companies were professional and actually very similar with two differences: Sam was half of the cost of the others and Sam really listened to us and came back with very good suggestions. He is open, honest, punctual and timely. We had two follow-up items and he was johnny-on-the-spot to correct them at no charge. The best part is that our place is now striking at night due to Sam's great work. read more

Sam just installed accent lighting in our front yard today and let me tell you the man is a true artist at his craft. Tonight my wife and I went out to look at it for the first time after dark and WOW, it looks amazing! Don't waste your time trying to DIY from the crap you by at one of the BOX stores. Trust me having a professional like Sam is money well spent. All the 5 star reviews in Yelp are an absolute true and accurate representation of Sam, his company, and his work. I can say that Sam is punctual and extremely friendly. He is a pleasure to do business with and he will be doing my backyard next! read more

Sam, the owner, answered promptly to my request for an estimate. He was able to repair all the landscape lighting on our property with ease and confidence, even taking the time to educate on how I could perform simple repairs in the future. What impressed me the most, was how he was able to trouble shoot a problem with our landscape lighting that we have had since it was initially installed by another lighting professional two years ago. Our expert home electrician was also not able to figure it out. Sam was on time, true to his estimate (which was very reasonable), courteous, professional and expert in his trade. Had Sam return to add additional low voltage lighting to our exterior property frontage and his work was again reasonably priced, performed to exacting specs and was creative and responsive to our needs. Have great praise for his company, only wish I found him sooner, since many others are not half as fair and knowledgeable. read more

I wish I could give 10 stars. Sam was just plain awesome. Punctual, friendly, efficient and totally reasonably priced (better than other bids I received). He went way over and above. I only got a bid to rewire my front landscape lights and put in a new timer. Before he left I asked if he could look at a few lights that were out in back. Not only did he fix all of them, too, he buried the wire that the prior landscape lighting people failed to do. He was incredibly friendly, carried on a conversation, notified me of his arrival time and confirmed my scheduled appointment and did all of the work himself. DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER. Call him. You won't be disappointed!!! read more

Sam was amazing start to finish! I liked his pricing structure, no hidden fees. He was quick to respond to our initial inquiry, arrived on time, super pleasant and upfront and most importantly did a spectacular job. He is a no pressure salesman and told us we can always add lights as we go. We have had 2 rounds of lights installed with a 3rd one planned for next week. Thanks for bringing light and beauty to our backyard! read more

I just had Desert Landscape lighting install front and backyard lighting on March 12, 2021. When Sam came out to do the estimate and make suggestions he took into account my desires and he gave suggestions that did not upsell and or upcharge. Practical choices that would make the house lighting look awesome. After I decided to go with desert landscape lighting they were here within two weeks and did the job thoroughly and replaced and repaired any unknown existing problems. I made a good choice, thank you Sam and all the crew. read more

We needed an update to our landscape lighting after a pool redate. Sam was one of the company's we got estimated from, and was by far the best price. The reviews sold us to hire Sam and his company, we we ciuld not have made a better choice. Sam arrived on time, worked like the professional he is, and finished up the next day, on schedule. The original bid had him using our existing wireing, and even though he had to replace several sections, he honored the original estimate. The fixtures and the work are guaranteed, and he came back a few days later to tweek bulbs and placement, and Sam gave us absolutely fabulous lighting. read more

I waited a month to write my review to ensure that I was really that pleased. I love my yard!!! Sam was easy to get in contact with; always very responsive. I had an idea of what I wanted highlighted in my yard; front and back. Sam did a wonderful job of taking my cryptic description and building on it. He made my yard look as I had envisioned, only better. He is a professional with an artistic eye. He illuminates to enhance the look. I could not be more pleased with how things turned out and where Sam placed the power boxes. He keeps the expense in mind. Sam asked me to let him know my thoughts after the lighting had been in a few days. I asked him to stop over and change the bulb (too bright) in one of the lights and show me how to modify the hours. He was also very responsive on the follow-up. I have no complaints and would happily refer Sam and Desert Landscape Lighting to my friends and family. Thank you, Sam. read more

I can't say enough great things about Sam. He responded quickly and was always courteous with his time commitments. Prices are very reasonable and lighting quality and options are A+! Thank you, Sam, for doing such a great job in our yard. We love it! read more

Every now and then you run into companies that do what they say, show up on time with a smile on their face. Meet or beat their original estimates and don't attempt to get rich on each job, instead they want to build a relationship. Desert Landscape Lighting is that company. It was a real pleasure to work with Sam. My home in Aviano got a real facelift with his strategic placement of landscape lights. -George read more

Sam was reliable, honest and fast. He came out to give a quote within 48 hours of first contact, showed up a little early, and actually spent time walking me through what was needed. He gave me a quote on the spot, and it did not change when the job was done! He showed up when he promised, and finished the job when promised. It is very hard to find a reliable contractor, and I will absolutely refer Sam out to everyone who has a need for his services. I am extremely pleased with his service! read more

Sam did an amazing job replacing our 10 year old broken landscaping lights with new LED path, spot, and tree lights. Before Sam's work, our one acre yard was dark and spooky. After an initial consultation, Sam returned in the evening to walk the property with my husband and me to get an understanding of the property's lighting needs. Then he presented his suggestions for light type and placement, brought several lights to demonstrate the effects he would create, and gave us the estimate. Once the lights arrived, he spent several full days removing old lights, running new wiring, and installing new lights. He returned in the evening to fine-tune the placement to our satisfaction. Now our yard is well-lit and we can see our mature landscaping! Sam was a pleasure to work with; he listened carefully to our issues and responded with terrific solutions while being price-conscious. read more

Called him and 1 other company for my job. He answered the phone, set a timeframe, texted me the day before to remind me, and showed up on time. The other guys called back 48 hours later and never again. Got my job done for half of what I thought it might cost me and is exactly what I needed. He took care to match my existing lights so the entire backyard looks the same and suggested several ways to accomplish what I wanted while saving me some more money. I'll definitely use Sam for all of my outdoor lighting needs. read more

My wife and I recently arrived in Peoria and there were some issues with the outdoor lighting at our ten year-old house, so I scoured Yelp and found Sam. I called him and he came out the following morning at 7:30 am. It turned out to be a more complicated series of issues, but Sam stayed at my house for several hours. He solved the problems he could solve right away and said he would come back after another appointment. I thought, sure you will. Two hours later, Sam was back with new equipment that was significantly cheaper than I would have been sold by someone simply looking to separate me from my wallet. The lighting system was one that Sam had never seen before, but he searched the Internet to find solutions via instructional videos from the manufacturer. Then, he contacted the manufacturer's representative and scheduled a visit from him because some stuff was under warranty. The system works wonderfully now. Sam is an old school type of businessman -- customer first, customer last, customer always. I can't say enough good about him and would recommend him to anyone with outdoor lighting needs or issues. read more

Sam is very technically savvy, reasonably priced, personable, fast, and on time. I had a tricky yard light problem which Sam quickly diagnosed and repaired. Sam just installed our full front yard and backyard lighting, and it looks amazing. Uplighting on our palms, in-ground spots on our larger trees, and accent lighting on the front of our house. All in all, about 15-20 individual lights. This guy is a true lighting professional. He is not some landscaper who just "puts in lights", Sam only does lights, and he has been doing them for years. He brings all sort of ideas to the table to maximize the impact of your investment. He will offer you a variety of light options at various prices, but provides you with an honest assessment of each, and is indifferent to the units that you select. In fact, he recommends what is best for your yard. It's all very high quality equipment that is nothing like the Malibu landscape lights from Home Depot. Installation took place about 1 week after he quoted the job and the job took 1.5 days. The work is absolutely beautiful - 24 hours after installation, I literally could not find where he ran the wiring, and I know where it was supposed to be. Concrete? No problem. Multiple zones with individual switches? No problem. The lights are there, but I honestly cannot find how/where he wired them, or how he ran the wires from the transformer. I was thinking about doing this project myself, but after 15 minutes of talking to Sam, I knew that I was A) Crazy for trying to do it myself B) he was the only guy that I needed to talk to. Honest, fair, highly skilled, and very professional. He is even coming back to make some small modifications for me, now that the project is done, and I wanted some changes. We made the right choice, and could not be happier with the final product. read more
