I asked…read moreto switch providers for my next visit to Joy because with the other provider I have felt dismissed about the reactions I am getting every time (we are talking severe bruising and pain for weeks after insertion) well I called today (this morning) because I am 5 weeks out from insertion and have swelling, some pain and you can feel the pellet at the site (hard as a rock). I was told a provider would call me today to discuss what I should do. Yep no one called me. I was very firm this morning about how bad it felt and that it wasn't normal. So I guess I try again in the morning but most likely will not continue at this practice.

Hormone therapy can be expensive. You are constantly getting lab work done, every 2-3 months to verify your hormone levels. Melissa Salgado is their receptionist and she does a great job; and so much more. Amelia was my practitioner and has an amazing warmth and I really felt comfortable with her and Paula as well. I don't mind being farmed out to other practitioners but they should have the same follow-through is the original one. They just dropped the ball so many times. I left them feeling really disappointed. The lack of follow up and follow through was really lacking. When my labs would come back I would have to chase them down to get somebody to call me back. For the amount of money I'm paying I shouldn't have to chase them and continuously call and leave messages to get some type of response. I do not feel they were aggressive enough with my treatment and because I wasn't buying all the add-ons. I feel like I was a waste of their time and they didn't treat me or care the way they should have. I know there is a range of where they want your numbers to be... But some people don't fit that range and sometimes they need more. Everybody's body chemistry is different... hence the customization of the pellets.

My first appointment with this fabulous lady was simply the best - she listens, gives advises and suggestions, is knowledgeable and caring, patient, has the best bedside manners I have ever experienced.... I could go on for a while ;-) She also does the lab work herself in her office so you don't have to waste time looking for a place and making the appointment. Also, unlike many places, she does not charge upfront based on "estimated" coverage. I recommend Jolene to everyone, she is the answer to my prayers!

Whew! We are in the middle of a pandemic and the staff aren't wearing masks, but there are signs…read morethat require masks to be worn before you enter. Just from sitting down, I saw three staff members. Not even with it on their necks that they took off to take a drink or something. Only the staff member checking me in for podiatry was wearing it. This is absolutely outrageous for medical office staff to be so ignorant on public health policies and just overall, not keeping people they are supposed to be caring for. Not to mention, the front desk staff is so rude. I didn't catch her name, but middle aged woman with medium/long, brown hair. I'm only here for Dr. Loo because he came highly recommended.
