Desert Knight CDL School is the place to go if you want to not only get your commercial driver's license but start a new career with knowledge you will not only want but need as a first-year driver and more. When I first met Jess and Stephen Harding I immediately felt I made the right choice in schools just based off of how down-to-earth these guys were and how quickly they picked up on how I needed to learn this shit proficiently but with as little stress as possible. Not every student that enrolls may be preoccupied with the bullshit that life WILL inevitably throw your way, but I was in deep and my shovel was broken and the entire Desert Knight team didn't even flinch at this and just focused on educating me beyond my expectations and far beyond simply obtaining my class A CDL. If the only chance I had to get down there and learn, memorize, practice and train was on a holiday, they were there. If it was 6 in the morning and the sun wasn't up yet, even in the snow, I was greeted with smiling faces and positive attitudes. Nothing diverted the entire team from their focus on my success. They go above just instructing their students. They genuinely want you to succeed and will do whatever they can to get you there. That's not to say you're not going to have to put in work because ultimately it's going to be up to you, however, these guys don't give up on you is my point. If you were to take the years of experience that Jess, Jimmy, and Steven have and add it together, I'm willing to bet you can't even count that high. You WILL leave educated but it doesn't stop there. They continue with you through your path of finding employment which again as a first-year driver is no easy task (unless you want to drive for one of these shady outfits that have a reputation for wrapping their tractor trailers around a middle school during recess across the street from the Department of Transportation's office). All joking aside Desert Knight CDL School is A1 and if you want to be a successful commercial driver it is the place to get your education and your foot in the door as a trucker regardless of which avenue you are in pursuit of...OTR, public transport, even you lame ass Class B guys that are too scared to learn how to shift your own Gears will get what you need. I promise. read more

I wanted to get my CDL and knew going to a school would be the best option (and believe me it is) since I practically knew nothing about tractor trailers. However at the time I had a job and couldn't afford to just quit to go to a truck driving school for a couple weeks. So after calling around to all the schools in this area I found Desert Knight to be the best fit. They are the least expensive and also you go on your schedule and they will be there for you. My schedule only allowed me three days a week to attend. I believe it took me about 4 weeks (12 days total) and Steve had got me from knowing nothing at all to passing the DMV test all in one try, and believe me knowing how to do your pre-trip correctly and using the right terminology is what will pass you and that's exactly what they did for me, we would rehearse the pre-trip religiously. They have the trucks for you to practice your skills test and driving test as well and the truck that you are most comfortable with will be the one you test in at DMV. I have a great job now that I love, I make great money and owe everyone down there at Desert Knight for this new career. I absolutely recommend this school, Jesse the owner is the nicest guy and will teach you a couple tricks he has up his sleeve. I like this school because it is a locally family owned business, they all have the driving knowledge and experience and they do care and will do what ever it takes to get you confident, comfortable, and ready to start driving big boy trucks. read more

I was having trouble picking the right school for my cdl, I called around a couple schools and they didn't seem very friendly and had a strict schedule, I'm glad I called Desert Knight, Jimmy invited me in right away and then Jesse set me up with JOIN to pay for everything. My big concern was my work schedule and these guys were the only ones that worked with me.They would stay late to help me squeeze a couple hours in here and there and even came in on weekends and holidays just to work with me. Eventually I got my hours in and took my tests at the dmv and passed them on my first try. I would definitely recommend these guys they are a good family business that is there to help you learn at your pace with no pressure . Thanks again Desert Knight , Jesse Jimmy and Steve you guys are the best! read more

Back in March I decided to make a career change. I decided I wanted to get my CDL. Called 3 schools but the one school that stood out to me was Desert Knight CDL school. I went to check out the school and immediately signed up. Jesse, Steve and Jimmy all worked with me at my pace. All 3 and "mom" made me feel at home. All 4 went out of there way if I needed something or didn't understand. The parking lot is set up for the skills part of the test, so if you can do the skills at the school you will have know problem at DMV. It's a family environment and everybody takes the time to work with you. If your looking to obtain your CDL....look know further and go to Desert Knight CDL School.
