They expected students to check in periodically but never answer phone calls. Practically it is your child alone working on trying to get assignments done that are never explained to them. The staff, when you actually speak to them, are rude, unprofessional, and uneducated. I am not sure where they find these teachers and principals but it's definitely not people that should be certified to teach or work with children. They are all thugs. They are also a scam of a school. The school does not count as education and therefore if your child is transferred somewhere else they will repeat the grade because this is not a legitimate institution. Do not send your kids here, it is a trick to make money off the government for your child. They do not care about your child's education. Do not make the mistake to set your child up for failure.

I've never had to worry about whether my kids are loved. The teachers pour into these kids and make sure they are cared for. The entire staff is so kind and make it a point to make sure that the students and their families are known and welcomed. I highly recommend Summit Ridge as an incredible preschool that not only puts the children and their best interests first, but also assists in supporting the families of their students with Christ as the cornerstone and foundation.

The staff is kind, caring, and has a genuine love for the children and parents that you don't see often. The communication is never lacking and if there is an issue, the full staff is there supporting you through it. We love it so much I didn't even attempt to put my second child in day care until she was ready for Summit. Imagine taking your child to a preschool where they are willing to work on the same things you are working on at home, whatever that may be, listening, sharing, telling the truth, good bathroom habits, you name it and the team will help you. I can't wait to see what this amazing team does with the nursery they are opening. I'm so thankful families will have the opportunity to start their kiddos there at an early age. Thank you Summit Team for everything you do!

We're…read moreso glad that there's a school close to us that not only teaches kids academics but also teaches them moral lessons which I think is the most important. The staff here are great too. They do care about the kids and are very attentive to their emotional and academic needs. One thing that is amazing as well is that it's a small school so the staff knows pretty much all of the children. Ms. Angie and Mrs. Baeckel greet each kid by name and their families during drop offs and pick ups every single day- rain or shine. We really appreciate the extra care and attention because you know they're safe having two pairs of watchful eyes to see who comes in and out of the property. My son also is learning so well. His reading I think is advanced and they teach them how to write in cursive at a young age too. He's made lots of friends and even the parents know each other and are connected as well. I don't think you will get that in a big/public school. We are happy that we enrolled our child here. We will stay for a while.

We did a lot of research before deciding where to begin kindergarten, and toured several schools, hoping to find one that stood out above the rest. The King's Academy is it. I can't imagine a better place for an excellent Christian education in the Reno/Sparks area. The staff are wonderful. The teachers are so amazing, experienced, loving, compassionate, and we really can feel how much they truly care for our son. He is having the most wonderful experience. I can honestly say that since my son began attending The King's Academy, he has come into his own genuine, authentic faith. He loves God, he knows God better, he asks so many great questions. Best of all, he tells me all the time now "I love you so much Mom, but I love God more." It is such a comforting feeling to have the utmost confidence in both the quality of the academics, as well as the spiritual environment of the school. We love the smaller class sizes and greater level of attention that the teachers are able to pay to each student, and therefore their enhanced ability to tailor the education to each child's unique needs. I attend chapel every week (parents and families are always welcome to join the students there) and absolutely love it! I love seeing the children having a great time and also receiving such quality, Christ-centered Biblical teaching. It's wonderful. There have been so many times that, unprompted, my son will ask me "Mom, can I please keep going to King's Academy all the way to 8th grade? I love it there!" What more could you want to hear from your child? We cannot recommend The King's Academy enough, it is one of the best decisions we've ever made for our children.

It has gotten very crowded since it became a SWAS site as the siblings of SWAS attend as well. We saw the K class half day become a full day option, with 30 kids in the full day. One teacher and an aid....way crowded throughout. Our son was too distracted with a big class, so we were discouraged, but by years end our K student was reading end of first grade readers! They do group kids by level of learning even within a class. Our 2nd grader was in a class of 36 kids, with two teachers, but it was way large. They did again tiered learning, so he did great too. The parents make the school awesome.

Molly Lauf, our Principal, is wonderful with the children and is always looking for ways to improve the school. The Hunsberger PTA puts on several family-friendly events throughout the year and purchases much of the state of the art technology that the school district does not provide. In addition to purchasing equipment, the PTA also supports several programs that are not offered or paid for through the district, such as Foss kits, Kindness Enrichment programs and art. The Hunsberger art program offers all students opportunities to learn about artists and different mediums such as watercolors, oil pastels, acrylics as well as ceramic art. I love seeing all of the hallways lined with the art the kids have created! Not only is the school itself great, but the parents, many of whom volunteer their time on a regular basis are fantastic and always willing to help each other and look out for each others children. I am SO glad that I chose to live where I do, and part of that decision was based on the schools we are zoned for! All in all, this school is amamzing.......now, if only there was something we could do about the chaotic parking lot traffic! (Ha!)

There are a lot of mixed reviews, so I wanted to contribute to the 5 star ones since that is a better reflection of the care they provide. Our daughter has now been in two of their classrooms and we had great experiences with both. They have a camera system for parents to log in and check out what is going on in the room throughout the day which provides some great peace of mind. They have a schedule they follow throughout the day of different activities and learning opportunities for the kids. We bring food for our daughter but they also have snack times where they provide some additional food. Our daughter has learned some great skills from her time here and we love how much socialization she gets from being around the other kids. The rooms are largely organized by different age ranges and they move up once they reach certain milestones, not necessarily right when they reach a particular age. The daycare itself feels secure, you have to enter two different codes when you arrive and then it unlocks the main entrance for you to come inside. The staff are all wonderful and take great care of our girl. The price is affordable compared to other daycares in the area. We are thankful to have found Blue Kangaroo and look forward to continuing to work with them!

I have a daughter. Not a son. She finally was able to get my daughter to me. Had I been some weirdo/creep, I could've easier walked away with that little boy. As if you need even more of a reason to avoid this place... the staff here is terrible to the kids. My daughter would always cry and hated going to Pebbles. I later found out that her teacher was constantly yelling at her and the other kids in her class. She was terrified of her and GOD knows how she was treating those poor kids. I've asked my daughter repeatedly if she was ever hit or grabbed by her teacher and she denies that BUT I did see her teacher roughly pull and shake a child in her class while she yelled at the poor crying little girl. I immediately withdrew my daughter after witnessing that. I spoke to a staff member about that incident and she admitted that that teacher is constantly yelling at the kids and is really rough with them. We ended up paying for a few weeks without even taking our daughter in because we were just so uncomfortable with the whole situation. Please do NOT send your kids here!!
