I had a lumpectomy with Dr Peter Jamieson a few weeks ago at Desert Regional Hospital in Palm…read moreSprings. I was sent to him, in-network, by my insurer after a couple of lumps were found in my breast and the ensuing biopsy showed up pre-cancerous cells. Being passed along that way is a crapshoot so I pored over the reviews. Dr Jamieson's reviews fluctuate the extremes, so I'm making sure my honest one is here as testament. It had already been a long and arduous journey from the abnormal mammogram to sitting in the surgeon's office for the first time. Said journey had also involved a traumatic biopsy experience (somewhere else) that had left me with a hematoma and anxiety. Brief as the initial consultation was with Dr Jamieson, he was effective at winning my confidence in his knowledge and simultaneously managed to put to rest a lot of my anxieties. The support staff were polite and helpful and waits were extremely minimal. Staff also actually answer phones - no recorded prompts. Operating day went off without a hitch. Initial preparations at the Comprehensive Breast Center at Desert Regional Hospital, which included a wire localization went very smoothly. I was more nervous about this step than the actual surgery after that dreadful biopsy experience. Shout out to Dr Conston and Jessica! A big thank you to nurse Chantell, for all the welcomed hand-holding and genuine comforting. Getting to the operating wing, again, there was barely any waiting around. Staff were friendly, respectful, informative and efficient. The Doc popped in. I felt very comfortable the whole time. The anesthesiologist was smart and fun and her magic cocktail had my lights out before I ever saw the doctor again. I woke up cozy, what felt like 5 minutes later, feeling very rested and like nothing had happened but for curious clues on my body. My recovery has been incredibly fast and unexpectedly low pain. I didn't touch any prescribed narcotics, subsisting for a couple of days on Tylenol and ice packs. That's all that was needed and I'm positive this is due to Dr Jamieson's deft handiwork coupled with my decent level of health and fitness. Seeing the big, gnarly, old-school, stitches poking out of a large incision on my little breast has been confronting. But the incision looked healthy and calm throughout, no bruising or discoloration even. I showed the wound to a couple of friends who have been through this exact surgery and they were both amazed at how good and advanced in healing it looked. In time, I'm sure some topical Vitamin E and Egyptian Magic Balm will help leave it all a distant memory. Followup check up a week post-surgery, was fast and came with the vast relief of an all-clear cancer result. A week after that, there was another check in with Dr Jamieson who removed a couple of stitches before deciding the rest weren't ready. Finally, today, the rest were removed - closure for a precarious 6 moth chapter of my life. Hopefully, I will never see this man again. But if I have to have someone cut me open and stitch me up in the future, at least I know there's a surgeon, a team and a facility I can trust to do a good job of it.

I was doubtful at first but I feel a difference after my initial treatment. Now I have my parents and sister doing this treatment as well. He wants his patients have the best results for their needs. I highly recommend Doctor Odom for all your medical needs.

When I arrived at Dr Odom's office, I was greeted by him personally. Even before I met him for the…read morefirst time, he and I corresponded either by phone or email. I was very hesitant to start hormone replacement because of the costs and the potential risks. Dr Odom had sent me medical literature on bio identical hormones. I had done my research on bio identical hormones and to be honest, I took a whole year before I finally made the decision to finally see him. During that year, he never pushed me nor pressured me to come in. Whenever I had more questions, he never hesitated to share his knowledge and experience with me...and this was before I even met him. Dr Odom understands my position as a woman in her 50's. At this stage we go through perimenopause and menopause. Our bodies change slowly and then drastically. I had my reservations due to a strong family history of cancer, but through my research and Dr Odom's knowledge, I was able to put my mind at ease. As for the doctor, Dr Odom is courteous, knowledgeable and has the capacity to be empathetic to my health problems as an older woman. He took his time in going over my health history and he tailored a health plan according to my individual needs. He is an anesthesiologist by his first specialty and has transitioned into regenerative medicine which he has done for over 30 years now. His anti aging specialty includes Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy, Stem Cell Therapy, and Weight Loss Medicine. He is trained by world renowned bio identical pioneer, Dr Neal Rouzier. Dr Rouzier no longer sees but a few of his long time patients and has given the gift of his extensive knowledge to Dr Odom and many other physicians. It is quite apparent that Dr Odom has a passion in the work he does and shows his expertise in anti aging. What I most love about Dr Odom is that he is thorough. He explains everything to me and gives me an organized care plan and schedule and other info to have as a reference in my daily regimen. He did not go through the consultation visit to "SELL" his ideas and knowledge. He genuinely cares about achieving my optimal well being. He uses his knowledge and expertise to find the best action plan that fits my individual needs. He is not only taking care of my anti aging problems but also is helping me in weight loss of the weight I gained from long term use of corticosteroids during for asthma in the last year as well as menopause. He is honest and he gives me time and space to voice my concerns and allows me to work with him as to what feels best for me. I trust him and his expertise. Since the start of the pandemic, COVID-19, he handles his appointments personally and tries to arrange appointments that works for both of us. He goes far and beyond to give me service. He shares an office with another specialist on alternate days of the week and has transferred his practice from La Quinta to Palm Springs. His follow up with patients is excellent. He will usually answer my questions and concerns as soon as he has a moment . If he does not answer the same day, I usually give him 24 hrs since he tries to catch up with his patients from having a busy day. In the new building where his practice is located has two offices that specialize in anti aging. His office is on the first floor just next to the parking lot in the back of the office building. There is another office on the second floor in the same building where Dr Neal Rouzier practiced anti aging but he no longer is at that office and his replacement is new in regenerative medicine and does not have the long time years of experience as Dr Odom. I trust Dr Odom for my care. I highly recommend Dr Odom. He is an excellent clinician who has great compassion and empathy toward his patients along with many years of experience to give you optimal results. As a healthcare clinician myself, he is the best choice to get the best service with the best results. All the rest are just money making generated clinics.
