Station renovation is great. It would be very helpful if Pace Bus schedules were displayed at the station.

Dee Road Metra Station - Never saw a sign saying I needed to pay for parking.

Dee Road is a great station. It's relatively new, I think; a bit over a decade. The station is part…read moreof the UP-NW line, terminating in Harvard on the north end and at Ogilvie Transportation Center (aka Northwestern Station) in the city. Dee Road has a good amount of parking and when I used this station there was plenty of it at 7:30 a.m. Parking is only $2 per day, which I think is standard at Metra stations. I didn't realize that the parking spots are numbered because the spaces themselves are not; there are wires several feet above the parking spots with numbers assigned. You'll need that number to pay for parking at the meter, so don't make the mistake I did. You can also download a parking app to pay for your parking. Though there's a building here, there is no agent; it's a shelter only. But a nice shelter, and a large one, which is great to have in the inclement weather. You can purchase a ticket via the Ventra app or you can purchase one on the train itself, which you can only do with cash.

There was not a sign at the lot entrance or near where I parked stating that it was a paid lot. I parked on the north end of the lot and went up the stairs and didn't see any notification about paying for parking. Looking at Google Earth it appears that there is a small sign, but it wasn't in an area where I would have noticed it. Also, the information on the metra website does not indicate that it is a paid lot.

Horrible service! No wonder they don't have a website or a review on Yelp…read more My review is going to take some time, but hopefully I can help someone from falling into the same trap as I did. My husband saw their ad at a train station and the prices seemed too good to be true. We travel quite a bit and cabs can be really expensive, so I decided to call them to get a quote. At first they were prompt in answering and gave me a quote of $25 from Schaumburg to O'hare (can't beat that price). My first trip, they were excellent and came at the right time to pick me up. Judging from the service, I decided to order a return trip from the airport. This is where it starts getting tricky. They don't come into the Taxi lane to pick me up, but come to the general line. When I asked the driver he says "the taxi line was too busy".. and I know cabs aren't allowed in the general lane. The second thing that made me suspect that this is a fraud business was that they have no I-pass and they have to throw coins into the toll basket (what a waste of time!). Wait..there's more. They don't accept credit cards so you better have cash on hand coz they don't tell you that when you book a cab. (does that sound suspicious to you?? It did to me!) Now coming to the most interesting part of this terrible business. I asked for a pick up from Schaumburg at 3.30 pm as I had a 5.30 flight. They confirm my pick up but the driver comes at 4 pm!! I kept calling the main line to find out where my cab was and noone would pick up or reply to my text messages. I call another company for a last minute cab and this driver comes like a king at 4 pm and offers no apology. When I yell at him, he just jokes and says "next time during peak time remember to order a cab 30 mins earlier". Really??? Thanks for telling me that now, when I'm about to miss my flight. Thankfully I barely made it to my flight. Oh! another thing about this "great" business. They don't give you the drivers number or have the driver call you when he gets to the pick-up destination. So you have to keep checking if the driver is outside your home, or keep a close look-out for the cab at the airport (can you imagine how hard that can be will the thousand cab's there!) Coming to my final point of frustration..and none of the above ones beat this one. I called a day earlier to schedule a pick up from the airport. The lady takes all my details and says the driver will be ready around 8:30 to pick me up. She tells me to give the central number a call when I get my luggage and am ready for the flight. So accordingly, I called the number at 8.30 pm. NO ANSWER! I think they're on another call so I call back 5 mins later. The phone goes directly into voicemail. I call for the next half hour, leave a voicemail, multiple text messages and an email..But no reply to anything. So we called a more reliable company and ordered another pick-up. It's been over a week since then and I haven't even got an apology for the terrible service. One thing I'm sure of is that I'll never use this business again! I'm sorry for such a long rant, but something has to be said about this fraud of a business. Don't fall for their low prices as they aren't reliable at all!

From even initially booking the limo, to confirming the trip to being picked up, the ride itself and the drop off- everything and everyone involved including the manager Yani and the driver who refused to tell us his name- were unprofessional and the worst service I've ever had. I initially booked the limo with the manger Yani over the phone whose English was not great. Neither was the drivers. We scheduled the limo to pick us up at 10 PM at a Christmas Eve party and organized it to drive us home (~30 min). The driver counsel find us, sent emails in caps lock yelling at us that we were unorganized, asking for the correct address, when we had already given it to him...keep in mind he was also calling/emailing us 20-30 min early when no one was ready to leave yet as we had scheduled the ride for 10 PM. I had to walk all the way to a different address in the snow because they climber fifure out where to pick us up then he wouldn't even come up to the house because it was in an alley so my family and I (9 of us including a small child) had to carry all of our presents in the snow to a different house so that we could access the limo. The driver had a terrible attitude throwing our gifts carelessly in the trunk. His English was not good either. We asked out how to play music and he huffed and puffed as if we were annoying him (what did we pay for???). Then we start driving and we notice we're a few blocks away from our home in the city and the limo just stops in the middle of the street. There's a speed bump and said the limo can't go over it. We said ok fine, but we are 4-5 blocks from our destination, have tons of stuff to carry and don't want to walk in the snow. He told us to get out, came around to my door, opened it aggressively and all my stuff fell out of my purse, my Christmas gift that was a candle broke all over the street, he continued to yell get out to my whole family. My son started crying saying he was terrified and scared of the driver who kept yelling at us. We suggested he take us a different route where there were no speed bumps to get us closer to the destination, he REFUSED. We asked to speak to his manager who we spoke to on the phone, YANI again who wouldn't give us his last name nor his drivers first or last name. The whole thing was SO SKETCHY!!! Half us of, cold and tired, decided to get out and just walk the few blocks with all our gifts and the other half still try to deal with this driver. My sister cut her whole hand open on the candle that the driver broke by opening up the door and ordering us out of the limo in the middle of the street. As she's bleeding the driver continues to order the rest of us out, slams the door on her bleeding everywhere and finally leaves half my family in the snow to walk home. We will be filing a formal complaint and demanding our $200 back. This company ruined our Christmas Eve. DO NOT USE.

Not one or the other was always more reasonable. However once the price was $12 difference when heading to the airport. In my option ride share is the way to go if in the city of Chicago. There are too many issues with parking and the high price that makes it counterproductive to rent. The app functioned well, better in my opinion than Lyft. I utilized Uber around 10-12 times and found on average the rides arrived in under 10 minutes. Some were within a few, but others were longer. The drivers were almost all foreign, but spoke English. They were professional and mostly knew their way around. Few instances of problems that brings the review down a star and a half I would recommend Uber. 3.5 rounding up. Always tip your driver.

My browser suggested Uber, and I was half-awake and uncaffeinated, so I clicked through to Uber and started to enter my GrubHub login info. By the time I realized my mistake, Uber had my email. But I hadn't given them my credit card. Which raises a troubling question: If they really erased my data -- as they said they did when I deleted my account earlier -- how were they able to sign me up for Uber One and start billing me? When I read the email congratulating me on my Uber One membership, I was livid. Had to spend the next half hour trying to cancel, because of course, you can't talk to an agent. I'll double down on what I said earlier. This is a shady company. They're too cheap to invest in customer service, and they operate right on the borderline between crooked and legal. Don't trust them.
