I want to express my deep appreciation of the Supreme K9 Skool in helping me train my yellow lab…read moreretriever, Max. I especially want to thank Mr. Dante Howard for his patience and good humor in working with me. Dante showed me over several weekly visits how to walk my pup without him pulling me along. He also taught me how I could work with Max to get him to sit down in the kitchen without bothering me while I ate my breakfast. I feel that Max and I have learned a lot about each other, thanks to Donte Howard and Supreme K9 Skool. I would recommend them to anyone who has a young rambunctious pup, or an older dog who needs some training. Sincerely, Robert Pardee

I have been taking my dogs there for many years. Almost 15. As they have aged, so have I. We both have mobility problems. I cannot make trips to ascertain whether or not things are in stock. Hence the phone. For 13-14 years, I have had few complaints. Deeply appreciate the time Dr Kelly and some of the girls have taken to help my pups and I. Now we are nearing the end of our time together. The phone access is imperative.

They have plenty of space in which to move around in their facilities which always makes me feel better about leaving them. The staff at Beekel have always been exceptionally accommodating and pleasant. We have never had a problem. The only minor complaint I might note is that their hours are a bit limited. But we have managed to navigate around that limitation without a great deal of difficulty. And even when I have called during off-hours, I have been able to leave a message and I have always received a call back. They are the best value around the area for pet boarding from my experience.

I'm so disappointed, I brought my dog in Saturday 10/12/24 to Columbia Animal Clinic in Brooklyn…read moreMichigan, due to not eating, explained that he had eaten Zebra Mussels and threw some up. She did blood work which was good, so she treated him for a stomach bug, gave him a shot to ease his stomach (mind you he only threw up that one time). I called back as instructed on Monday morning, explained to the person who answered the phone the situation, that he was sicker and lethargic, they never called me back until the afternoon, said that no one could see him and there was nothing they could do, they suggested taking him to a 24 hour emergency. But they are our veterinarian. 35 hours later he was dead, we were in FL at this point and he had an appointment to the hospital, but didn't make it. When we took him on Wednesday morning to be cremated, we saw the Vet and explained the symptoms, and he informed us that Zebra Mussels are highly toxic and something should have been done on Saturday. I called Columbia on Wednesday afternoon and left a message for the Dr. and today a week later still have heard nothing from the Clinic, I'm so saddened by their lack of caring and their lack of investigation into Zebra Mussels, to help my poor dog. I will never return there for anything.

It makes me want to clench my teeth that "Whiskers" is misspelled in the name of this pet store,…read morebut other than that, it's a nice locally owned pet store. You can tell they are dog-lovers since there is about twice as much aisle space dedicated to dogs as there is to cats. The selection of cat toys and brushes was still impressive for such a small shop, though. They also sell various other pet supplies, from birds seed to fish food. The staff is nice. The man at the counter was advising other customers about dog food and gave me some advice about grooming brushes for my cat. He recommended one but said they were all out, and told me when he expected the next shipment in.

We got to know the first owner, Dena. Then one of Dena's employees, Laura, became the new owner…read more Laura is almost always there when I stop by. She and her staff know the inventory and can do special orders. They are very friendly and helpful. Laura owns dogs but not cats. That's why she is interested in hearing my feedback on all the cat-related products. One of our cats has fur slightly longer than "domestic short hair" length. Even after we started brushing him, he had two separate bouts of life-threatening furballs. I did some research. Apparently, beet pulp is used in dry cat food to help push furballs out of the body before they can get large and life-threatening. Since starting to eat Blue Buffalo Indoor Health kibble, which contains beet pulp, the furballs have not been a major problem. Laura told me she was grateful to know that sort of information. She really wants to provide the best possible service to all her customers. Our last dog was allergic to all sorts of things. At W2W, I was able to find several types of dog cookies that she could eat. We fed her a home-made diet because of the allergies, but it was nice to be able to buy already-made cookies. Our current dog is as healthy as a horse. We have to keep her away from the self-serve bulk cookie bins, as she would grab a mouthful if she could. W2W has all the pet supplies that really matter. Premium kibble and canned foods, treats & toys, grooming supplies, etc. There might be larger stores, but they don't have anything new to offer me and my pets.

So we quickly got him off that. This new staff put him on this steroid again disregarding my ex's concern and argument that it caused him to be sick in the past. They told him there was nothing to worry about that it would be fine because the frequency and timeline would be shorter. It wasn't fine.
