This was my first visit to Dermatology LTD. Being new to the area, I had to find a good dermatologist and I had a recommendation for Dr. Jadeja. The visit itself was very thorough and Dr. Jadeja took time to explain my condition and answered all my questions. He seems very informed and up to date on current practices. I had an issue with one of the prescriptions and a simple phone call was all that he needed to promptly re-order them to my mail-order pharmacy. I'd like to bein by saying I have been a patient of Dr. Chan at Dermatology, LTD for a few years now and have been very pleased. So, pleased that I've referred my mother, my aunt, and my daughter to the practice. I've also recommended the practice on local web pages (Facebook, etc.) Unfortunately, today I had the worst experience with an appointment for my minor child who was scheduled to see Dr. Amy Leib for a 6-month follow-up appointment. I received an e-mail asking to confirm this appointment 3 days prior, which I did. When I arrive to the office 10 minutes prior to the appointment time I was told my daughter wasn't on the schedule. I was then informed that a staff member took a message from me that I had canceled the appointment. And, they called me back on my cell phone and I stated I didn't wish to reschedule at this time. I explained that that never happen. I never made a phone call to the office. I had only confirmed via e-mail. I was informed several minuets later that Dr. Leib would not see my daughter. Please keep in mind that these appointments are generally about 10-15 minutes long. I was furious and explained my daughter takes medication and it's important to be see to regulate the meds. A staff member went to speak to Dr. Leib. A short time later I was told that she could only see my daughter if she had a cancellation or at the end of her office hours. I was already going into work late, and more importantly my daughter was missing time from school, for this 8:00am appointment. We couldn't possibly sit in the waiting are for God knows how long with the possibility that someone would cancel. This was an unrealistic suggestion. I am overwhelmingly disappointment at Dr. Leib's lack of regard for her patient's and patient's family's time. Especially, when it was her staff's error. I will be sure to let everybody I've referred to Dermatology, LTD about this experience. Please keep this in mind prior to scheduling a visit. read more

Dr Burkert is amazing. She is super friendly and explains things very clearly. The staff is also amazing. I was a little disappointed that a follow up was not scheduled for my 2018 appointment. Only after I realized a year had gone by and called was an appointment made. And as is typically with a dermatologist, I had to wait a decent amount of time for the next available. Once again, when I had my appointment yesterday, I was told that her calendar is not available and I am unable to schedule my next appointment. They say that they will send me a reminder card in 4 or 5 months, but this time I will follow up on my own. read more

First and foremost, I want to make it clear that this review is focused entirely on the billing department of Dermatology LTD and NOT on the level of service by its doctors, assisting medical staff or the reception/scheduling staff. Everything is fine in all three of those areas and I appreciate all services provided by them to date. This morning, I tried to use the Dermatology LTD website to pay my bill. My attempt failed and this wasn't the first time that I experienced the sites rejection of my attempt to pay on-line. The thing that makes these failed attempts so frustrating is that Dermatology LTD touts their on-line website by printing the web address on bills and also on a recording when you call their billing office. Yes, yes, yes, I could certainly send a check in the mail, and now I am beginning to think that would be the only true "easy" way. Maybe it's a question of "easy for whom". I would think that having patients pay their bills on the Dermatology LTD's web site would make it easier for the billing department, but from my miserable attempts with their web site it is neither an easy nor pleasant way to do business. When I call the practice to try and understand why my on-line transaction has been rejected my calls are met with a nonchalant attitude, if and when I am lucky enough to actually speak to a human being about the problem, and failure to get such information only adds to my stress and frustration. Most often when I try to talk to someone in the billing department by following the instructions on their phone menu, I get a rather blunt message on a recording with no option to leave a message. It's like NOBODY gives a fig about my concerns, THEY'VE got better things to do, bigger fish to fry. Does anyone at Dermatology LTD ever stop to think that touting their website to patients on recordings and on billing statements only to have those patients be met with rejection after the process of setting up an online account and putting the required information into the proper fields, might be a significant factor contributing to late payments? It's not rocket science, it's common sense. I can best describe the feeling I get when trying to pay my dermatology bill on-line as a big let-down, as when you labor at something and are almost there, about to arrive at the finish line or outcome of your efforts, only to realize it was all in vain, you lost the race by a nose, so to speak, in other words, you're a loser. Try again, who knows, you may be successful the next time. And then comes the announcement, the rubbing of your nose into the letdown of your failure. Methinks not. Update : 1/2/2014 @ 1:57 pm I called Dermatology LTD and got the same old recording from the billing dept, directing me to the website to pay my bill. I hung up and called again, by-passed the billing department and instead talked to a main operator or receptionist. I explained my problem and insisted that someone take my call seriously. She told me that nobody was in the billing department, they were all out to lunch. (I couldn't put it any better if I tried) I stressed once again that my call was a complaint and I wanted to speak to the office manager or someone who handles complaints. I was told that my call would be transferred to the office manager, put on hold for a minute or two, and then SHAZAAM, the receptionist came back and told me that she had explained the problem to the office manager and was told that the billing manager was now in her office. I was transferred to the billing office manager - again, sensed the nonchalant attitude and ho-hum tone of her voice. I tried to make her understand how frustrated I was at this point and was then "permitted" to pay by phone. I called my bank and they told me the reason for the decline was an invalid Card verification code. They also said that the same thing happened in October for the same reason. I'm not infallible, I'm well aware of that, but I highly doubt that I made a typo or entered the wrong 3 digit code in the cvvc field on both attempts to pay on-line. read more

I went to Dr Laskas , Jr mid pandemic concerned that an area of my face had a Christine's to it . I scheduled as a total body skin check . The appt was for 11 am . They tried to cancel it once because he had a fifth grade graduation to attend so I rescheduled . When I got there he said he had no time to do a full body check as scheduled & what my $60 copay was for . Instead he stood more then 6 feet away from me , never touched me even though we both had an N 95 on & a shield . He said it was a break out only .three years later I go to same practice to a different doctor & he does the full body check & looks closely at same area & diagnostics & lab sample via biopsy indicate squamous cell cancer in Situ . I told him his partner sucked . He removed multiple areas of concern , was professional & patient centered . I just think it is a shame a compliant patient was denied care for what needed treatment , was not given proper attention the FIRST time & was charged the exact same copay . read more

I scheduled a telehealth appointment SIX weeks in advance at 8:45am. After waiting till 9:30am on the line for the doctor to come on, I finally got ahold of someone on the phone to ask if I was forgotten or not (after 11 minutes on hold waiting). The receptionist stated that the Dr was in a room with another patient and that they could switch it to a 10:45am appointment. This time did not work with my schedule. So my appointment that I had for SIX WEEKS meant absolutely nothing. Also, had I not called would I just have continued to sit on the line till 10:45am??? This is absolutely ridiculous. I only give it 2 stars because the doctor was actually great. Their office and office staff are not great. They want the patient to do their leg work with insurance. They said it's more efficient for their office to have the patient do the work. read more

The doctors in this practice are amazing. Kind, caring, see patients on time and spend the right amount of time with them. It seems ridiculous to me to give a practice one star due to billing issues. Those are easy to fix. I have found that giving the doctors feedback on the staff is the best way to fix a staff issue. The doctors here are busy providing highly trained treatment but do care about the front office. So I suggest it would be more fair to discuss these types of issues with the office manager to get them resolved or with the doctors rather than rate the overall practice one star. read more

If u have a choice to go to any other dermatologist office than this one, my advice is go there. Poor Dr. Laskas reputation has been ruined by whoever is running this practice now. Trying to get an appointment is near impossible. I excused the first time as a fluke. However my latest experience has put me off this group forever. I can even excuse that they double billed me for my initial appointment. When I phoned recently I waitied on hold over 30 min. I was given an option to go online & give information, but my son had previously done that for himself & was never contacted. So I took the option to leave a message. The recording told me that I would receive a call back within 36 hours ( which in itself sounded strange to me) just say asap or first thing next business day. As it was a Friday, I figured they would call Monday. By Thursday I still had not heard. I called & waited about 15 min then left a msg. The office mgr phoned when I was out. I called him back 3 different times & HE never answered. ( I did not leave a msg as I was in & out of home, it was not convenient FOR ME to sit & wait. I've been phoning doctor & dentist etc offices for over 50 yrs & have NEVER encountered a practice like this. As I read the other reviews, I should have heeded their advice. read more

My issue is also with billing. My son, daughter and I all had a screening done, I'll be generous and say 10 minutes each of us. All of us just looked at. Nothing different. They charged my daughter 40$ more. I called, left messages, emailed, wrote letters. Finally I got a person and she very rudely said ask the doctor. Tried that too.. Not happy at all. read more
