I absolutely loved Dermacare! Everyone here is beautiful, humble, and polite. It was my first time, and I didn't feel uncomfortable in any way. Everyone is helpful, and as a plus you are offered something to drink upon arrival. It is said that it is not WHAT you inject, but WHO injects it, and HOW. I'm VERY disappointed with the place Dermacare Brickell. A year ago I bought the package laser hair removal, which is supposed to be 7 sessions, on the fifth section I still had all my hair, then I went to get it reviewed by the doctor and she informed me that they were not giving me the correct procedure, which resulted in me being in a lot of pain. Not stopping by there when I finished the package I was informed that I need to maintenance, (which they call "catch up") so I can have better results. Catch is $50.00.... When I called back for my catch up to make the appointment to a "catch up" another surprise, the price was $120.00 and NOT the $50.00 which they had told me. I called more the 4 times and spoke with all employees and they call were very rude and disrespectful, like I don't have any rights people out. Had just moved to Miami from New York City and a friend recommended Dermacare Brickell for a few things I was in need of. Could not be happier I took their word for it and gave the place a try. The office is not only top notch and beautiful, but all around professional in every manner. They are always on time for their appts, but that is to say the least ( even though for most offices it's all we require to be happy these days since so many others can't even do this for their patients). Everyone who works in the office is an absolute pleasure to be around. They all make you feel like you are friends and family from the very first visit. It's an ongoing pleasure going back not only because their work is absolutely the best at everything they do, but the natural progression of the relationships that develop during these visits enhances the overall experience as well. I went there last time with my friend foe chemical peel. It was quoted to us $75 and when we arrived we confirmed the price. When we were ready to pay they charged us $85, I told receptionist that I was confirmed $75 on the phone when scheduling appointment and after I arrived but she seems to don't care. My friend got botox as well, during the consultation they told her price for the full face. When we get to the room to get the botox, just before injecting botox, the lady told her that the price she was quoted was only for forehead and smile lines, and does not include area around the eyes. So not fair! They quote you different prices just to get you come and then they will tell you higher price. I am not happy with my chemical peel. read more

Heaven on earth!!! I just finished up another amazing treatment session at Dermacare. I started with the most relaxing deep cleansing facial by Heidi (yes...it's true...she gives you the best of both worlds) she was so gentle while also making sure to clean out all my pores. This is my second facial with her and she is, hands down, the BEST THERE IS! She took the time to educated me on how best to care for my particular skin issues and I never felt pressured to purchase any products. That being said, I did buy a bottle of Revisions Intellishade tinted moisturizer with sunscreen because it WORKS and looked and felt awesome on my face. After the facial, I saw Dr. Barnes (2nd visit with her) for Botox/Dysport injections. Dr. Barnes is a true artist when it comes to injectables. I've NEVER had such amazing results from anyone else. She really listens to what you're looking to achieve, and more importantly, she delivers. The entire office staff is outstanding. They treat every patient like a VIP and provide a very warm welcoming environment. They've made a loyal customer out of me, not just because my Botox looks perfect but because they've made me feel comfortable, important and beautiful from the inside out. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Barnes for a couple of years for Botox and Perlane injections. She's very humble & happens to be beautiful -- but don't let that trick you -- the doc is gifted! Previously, I had been to other derms/plastic surgeons, but I was never 100% satisfied. It either looked like too much, or I couldn't tell a difference. Her trademark seems to be a subtbtle, yet remarkable look. Her dexterity is also amazing -- she has different artful techniques for different wrinkles. On my first visit she correctly guessed which side of my face I sleep on: she tailors her technique to the specific wrinkle she's working on. She instills confidence. My perception is that my face looks more symmetrical -- and about ten years younger! The doc's assistants and staff are competent and warm; they will put you at ease. Dev is from Michigan and amazing - as is the entirety of the staff!! Dr. Michelle visits are like visiting your oldest, best - and HONEST - girlfriend. She is not pushy (she WILL however give you a little confidence - i.e., first time I got my lips done....!) and will tell you the truth. If you're like me and thought I might end up like a Botox-ed out, duck lipped Magda, Dr. Michelle is the best doc you can have. She doesn't push past your comfort zone - she simply pays attention to your temperament, your reactions and YOU! I have been super impressed with the dermacare laser hair removal process. The machine has a cooling fan to take away the sting, which makes the sessions much more tolerable than another medspsa I have tried. Also, Dr. Barnes is very professional and quick. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment, making it very easy for me to have a session during lunch or before work. I would recommend Dr. Barnes and Dermacare to anyone thinking about laser hair removal or any of their other services. read more

I'm not happy at all with my results. I paid $4300 for smart lipo on inner and outer thighs and lower back area and the first smart lipo showed no result at all. Dr Castillo said he would do as many as it took to give me the result I wanted. He did one more and I took a break for a year because I could not face another disastrous operation. I have disgusting extra skin and cellulite to levels I never had before. Now he wants to charge me more money for a thigh lift, forgetting that he never fixed the thighs he butchered in the first place. I'm waiting to see if I can get a refund but I'm so unhappy! My thighs actually look worse than when I started. I plan on using the refund for the lower back to find another surgeon to see of he can fix the mess I have on my thighs. Worst place ever!!!!! DO NOT GO THERE!!! Michelle Barnes is NOT A DERMATOLOGIST - extremely hard to believe she even got a d.o. degree!!! Most INCOMPETENT, IRRESPONSIBLE AND IGNORANT "doctor" I could have had the MISFORTUNE of coming cross. Went there in 2008 with PERFECT FACIAL SKIN. I never even knew what hyperpigmentation or melasma were back then - I hardly ever even used make up! At 40 (and looking at least 10 yrs younger bc of my olive skin) I fell pray to her excellent sales person skills (that's what she is - A SALES PERSON - knows NOTHING ABOUT MEDICINE but was always desperate to make a sale, with total disregard to the damage she can cause to a PATIENT'S VERY FACE). I paid $2,500 for a Laser Effects for some tightening of the skin. BEING OF OLIVE SKIN she should know that I'd be highly prone to hyperpigmentation and immediately after hyperpigmentation started, all over my face, and for 8 years now I have been PLAGUED with hyperpigmentation/melasma, having by now spent over 15,000 to correct HER MEDICAL MALPRACTICE to no avail! I've seen the best doctors in town, and have tried ALL possible treatments - even went to Japan and China to buy Korean products as they're known to be the best AND THE SIGNIFICANT DARKENING OF MY SKIN IS PERMANENT. Imagine having PERFECT skin to having to deal DAILY with UNEVEN BROWN BLOTCHES ALL OVER YOUR FACE WHICH ARE IRREVERSIBLE! The last MD I saw, a local Harvard Grad Dermatologist said that the laser went so deep into the dermis that the marks I have in my face are like tattoo - they will never go away and that my face would darken - all true! For 8 years, I have never been to the beach or gone swimming ever again, or gone anywhere w/out loads of the most expensive sunblock, make up, A HAT AND SUNGLASSES EVERY SINGLE DAY - still, my face has only darkened during these past 8 years. The laser was so abrasive that it destroyed my natural protective layer leaving me with an ultra hypersensitive to any source of light FOR I HAVE OLIVE SKIN and she should know that OLIVE, MEDITERRANEAN AND AFRICAN SKIN ARE NOT AT ALL CANDIDATES FOR C02 LASERS. This most ignorant and irresponsible woman, after destroying my face with a laser I was NEVER a candidate for also did a Vi peel, trying to contain the hyperpigmentation she caused me to have - even with the Vi peel - SHE IS SO INCOMPETENT that she specifically told me on the day of the application that, because I seemed to be hyper sensitive she would do the Vi peel in a lighter fashion - HENCE, she did a CHEMICAL PEEL INCORRECTLY, BURNING MY SKIN IN SEVERAL AREAS, IN PARTICULAR IN MY FOREHEAD, as it never peeled, thus leaving me with permanent burn marks to date. I obviously tried to file a complaint v. her but SHE CARRIES NO MALPRACTICE INSURANCE despite being on a fancy clinic in Brickell and charging tons of money TO DESTROY A WOMAN'S FACE! Therefore I was never able to get any payment for my actual disfigurement and my pain and suffering, daily mental anguish and psychological trauma that will last until the day I die for my face was key to my personal and professional success. I obviously do and try my best to cope with it every single day, counting my blessings and covering my skin w/ loads of make up and trying to still maintain a positive outlook on life, thinking of those who even had worse fates. Nonetheless, I FINALLY FOUND THIS SITE SO TO LEAVE A WARNING TO ALL, and to prevent other gullible patients like I was to fall prey to an extremely incompetent doctor who works at DERMACARE yet IS NOT A DERMATOLOGIST and destroyed my face and has caused me SEVERE PAIN for 8 years straight and God only knows for how many more... I have suffered with pimples for many years and have kept myself from going out and enjoying myself with friends, I was too scared to take pills because the side effects were alot worse. I did some research and got a consultation at Dermacare, I was given all the information I needed and all my questions and concerns were answered. I decided on a procedure called BLU-U W/LEVULAN and I am zit free, I get 1 or 2 here and there but nothing more. I get countless compliments on my skin and I couldn't be happier.
