Presently, I'm seeing Dr. Hill (and his wonderful staff) , and I can't say enough positive things about the practice! Everyone who is on staff is friendly, caring, professional, and welcoming. Dr. Hill performs thorough and gentle dental work. The office is clean, modern, bright, and seating area is calming and pleasing to the eye. From the moment I arrive, to the moment I leave, I've always felt seen and heard. In fact, just today, one of the dental hygienists told me she looks forward to seeing me and hearing all about my latest adventures!

Ever since then things were different. The last two times I went for a simple cleaning I was charged around $70. First time I was told it was for Xrays. Weird I had to pay out of pocket but I just accepted it. Went back earlier this year and paid MORE than the last time, it was $90 something for just a cleaning!? Then suddenly Renee informs me I'm out of network. Couldn't have told me this before? Especially considering I've been loyal to this office for 10 years?! I called to question it and they said they might've charged me for my DADS exam or something. I haven't been under his insurance in years. Renee was out of office so the girl told me they would call back and refund some of it. This was five months ago. Needless to say that refund never happened. Thanks okc smiles, I won't ever be back. At least half the time when you call, no one answers the phone. After my wife's first visit, I asked for them to provide a treatment plan before we scheduled any more work. After about 2 weeks, I sent an email requesting the treatment plan. However, Karen never sent it and finally I had to go up there to get it. After the first visit and receiving the treatment plan, I realized that there were major billing issues. They were suppose to be a Network Dentist for my Insurance (GEHA FEDVIP High option), but all their billing looks like they are a Out-of-Network Dentist. There are massive "Not Covered" amounts that normally only occur for Out-of-Network Dentists. I questioned this to Karen 3 or 4 times (at least twice via unanswered emails) and in-person. I also sent a letter to their billing department who didn't respond. I also called their billing department about the billing. They said they would call me back but they didn't. My wife went there a total of 3 tines before I told here she needed to return to a dentist that In knew was a Network dentist. For these 3 visits, I believe I paid or will pay over a $1000 for Not Covered charges that normally only occur for Out-of-Network dentists. I guess I will have to file some type of formal complaint to see if I can get some of my money back!

Over the past year or so, I've had repeated billing issues -- told I had a large credit and owed nothing, only to get a bill the next month, then another for the same amount even after calling to fix it. I also had my worst filling experience here, where the cavity got overfilled, changing it's shape, and ended up getting a much more expensive and painful root canal to fix it. Today was the final straw. I had a 4:00 PM cleaning booked months ago and took time off work for it. At 2:06 PM, while in a meeting, I got a text asking me to confirm because someone else wanted my slot. Fourteen minutes later, they canceled my appointment via voicemail and gave it away -- no warning, no call, no mention of any new confirmation policy, not even the courtesy of enough time to check my phone. In nearly ten years, I've never missed an appointment and have rarely replied to reminder texts (I literally only have record of confirming once out of 4x a year for a decade), so this came out of nowhere. When I called, the manager was dismissive and acted like it was normal and acceptable to cancel a pre-scheduled appointment an hour before, which is absurd and awful customer care. People have jobs and responsibilities. Canceling with less than two hours' notice because someone else wanted the time I already committed to shows no respect or care for patients. Even their billing department takes longer than 14 minutes to return a call. I truly love several of the hygienists and have been loyal for years, but the management's lack of compassion, accountability, and basic customer service skills has made it impossible to recommend this office anymore. If you want a cleaning today, they might bump another patient for you... just don't count on keeping your appointment.

They REALLY go above and beyond the minimum standard of care that is required and obviously take great pride in their work. In 13 years, I've NEVER heard a surgeon obtain a MORE thorough informed consent. Having the staff begin training in the instrument room and move beyond that is so smart and on-point! He even insisted that he take the time to ease my anxiety over my kiddo's anesthesia and procedure by showing me the procedure room and equipment! Bravo, Dr. Miller. FANTASTIC JOB! You've got a great thing going and will have my full recommendation to our dentist, his partners, on every online and social media outlet available, and to all my family and friends! They are my go to source for all things mouth related. I have an asked about the purple toothpaste, which apparently does not work based on scientific data! Lol they have gotten me in for emergencies like chipped teeth and cavities for my kids. If so, something isn't working, they have a solution. Highly recommend this practice and have to many friends and family. There is never a wait because they have a lot of rooms and are very efficient in scheduling. I used to work for a periodontist so I know the level of organization that it takes to run a practice like this as efficiently as they do. Bravo, ladies! Great job.
