The waiting room is comfortable and clean with plenty of stuff to read. I was called back promptly at 2:45 and had x-rays taken. Dr. Bird then came in and went over my medical/dental history, then he examined me. They play music throughout the office, which I liked. By 3:00 I was getting my teeth cleaned by a fantastic hygienist named Belinda. Maybe the best teeth cleaning experience I've ever had. She's clearly very experienced and had a quick but thorough hand when it came to the teeth cleaning. Plus, I was pleasantly surprised to leave with an electric toothbrush when the first visit was over. Can't recommend this place enough and I know I've found my dentist for many years.

In my first visit to his office, he said that I needed to to pull my two tooths, so he scheduled me for that. So, when I went to his office the second time, he told me how can I help you today? I was surprised he aske me that because I was coming to extract my two teeth. So, I said don't you know why I am here today! Intuitively, he should have known why I was there and should not have asked me how can I help you today, as if he does not know what the plan is! Even, his secretary on the front desk, she wanted to make payment even before the service, I told her I would pay after the service is done! Terrible experience. To be fair, one of his employee was very nice and fair and helped, her name was Hailee, I don't know if the spelling is correct. One more thing, he took x-rays to all my teeth and charged my insurance like $ 215, my question is why did he do that if he was going to ask me to find another dentist! I am 70 years old and yet he treated me like that and the end he Shaked my hand! really Shame. he was really inpatient. Dentists must be patients with their patients! I am hurt!

There was an issue with them billing Soonercare that I just found out about today bc I hadnt been available to receive their calls. Well, I receive a very hostile one today, in which they are refusing to release my children's dental records, that are legally ours, unless I give them a reference number from Soonercare proving to them that Ive fixed the issue. (I have called Soonercare many times about this same issue and was literally put on a call que for over an hour to get through to Soonercare Billing. This is really Summit Dentals Billing departments responsibility). So I called back asking for our records while I waited but the front desk and office manager refused to give me our records and got unnecessarily hostile and ugly with me. What's sad is that you cannot legally withhold dental or medical records due to an unpaid bill in the state of Oklahoma. But they obviously do not care about the law. I was in the process of getting it fixed for them, but now I want nothing to do with them. They also didnt send xrays out when my son had to see an pediatric orthodontist, so we had to get xrays again in the same month. I would never recommend this place based on this very UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, AND HOSTILE experience today. Stay away!

The doctor seemed very nice and personable, happy to meet a new…read morepatient and I was told I had a couple fillings that needed replacing but that they could wait a bit till the following year when I came in for my exam. When I came in for my exam I was confused because I honestly thought the man I was seeing was someone else. His demeanor was cold and he just didn't seem like the same guy (he also stopped dying his hair and had grey hair when I saw him last), he never introduced himself and just sort of got to work. I had a two and three surface filling that I was told needed to be replaced. Minor decay. It was a very forceful filling in both teeth but the bottom molar more than the top. I was extremely happy to get out of his chair. He said nothing the entire time he was working on me. I had to mention half way through I needed more novocain because it was starting to wear off (I'm not a fan of dentists who inject you for two different teeth at the same time. It makes me think they are simply going to rush through the procedure and that's never a good sign). I went in with zero pain or discomfort. I left in horrible pain that never got better. Also wasn't even offered anything for the pain. Just told that it was all normal (I have 13 fillings, it's NOT normal to feel the way I did!) and to call if I need anything. I called a couple days later about pain medication and asked to be seen again. I went back a few days later (1 week from the time of my fillings) for a bite adjustment and still was in pain. He asked me if I needed a refill on pain medication which I said "you never wrote me any Rx for pain" so he gave me one. Another week goes by and the whole time I'm in pain. I scheduled another appt. and he simply asked me how I felt, I told him the pain comes and goes but it was still bothering me and I was told "at this point I'm going to refer you out for a root canal" no real explanation, nothing else. Just a shove out the door basically with a referral to an endodontist. He didn't even want to do my root canal. A few days passed and I called to ask how long I could wait for the root canal and was told I shouldn't wait and that they needed to do a test to see if I needed one. Wait...what?! I was just referred because I "needed" one and now I "may" need one?! I was confused. I called the endodontist and they said that they would do some tests and take an X-ray and see if I in fact needed one. So apparently I didn't need one, I may need one. To me that's a HUGE difference when I am basically about to undergo a irreversible dental procedure. Needless to say at this point I wanted a second opinion. I scheduled an appt with a dentist whom my family holds in high regard and went in to see him. He took a look at a new X-ray he did, did the cold-pressure-air test (all unfounded) and a few others and decided to check my bite. It was clear right off the bat that my tooth behind the one that was filled was hitting hard on the tooth but not the filling. After a few bite adjustments he determined I did NOT need a root canal (at least not at this point) and said to come back in a week if it's still hurting and to try to keep off it for a while, as I am a "clencher" and this could have caused the pain I was in (one of the first things I said to Dr. Lavelett). For cleanings and exams they are fine. When it comes to fillings I would steer clear. I really liked the receptionist, she's very kind and most of the staff are nice but I just didn't have a good impression on the Dr. after my second time seeing him. Not sure why his demeanor has changed so much, but that's not what I look for in a dentist.

First, for years, the office consistently mispronounced my name. Even though I corrected them every single time I called to schedule or cancel an appointment and every single time I checked in at the front desk, they still never got it right. When I finally asked them directly to pronounce it correctly, they acted surprised, but even after that, nothing changed. My experience with the dental hygienists also got off to a terrible start. The first hygienist I saw used a bubble gum flavored polish on my teeth without asking me first. At my previous dentist, they always asked for a flavor preference. When I politely asked if I could switch to mint because I didn't like the bubble gum, she started slamming the cabinet doors and gave me a major attitude. I understandably asked to be switched to a different hygienist after that, but she would still consistently bring me back about 15 minutes late. Things escalated further when Dr. Campbell did a crown job for me. I was diligently making payments on the crown, but before even a single year had passed, the crown fell out. When I called for help, there was zero sense of urgency--they made me wait a week, leaving my tooth unprotected the entire time. When I came in to have it fixed, I was told I needed to be numbed, even though the crown and filling underneath were very recent. The dental assistant, Katie, was friendly, but lacked basic attention to detail. Throughout the appointment, she kept splashing water on me, poking me, and failing to clean out my mouth afterward. Communication was also chaotic: I asked Katie if I could use my CareCredit for nitrous gas, but she never followed up. Dr. Campbell had to go find out from the front desk herself, and neither of them knew the financing terms. Not wanting to waste more time, I just opted to move forward with it. The treatment from the staff completely shifted and became hostile after I stood up for myself and asked for my name to be pronounced correctly. The front desk staff, particularly Jenny, were completely unprofessional. When checking out, I asked about the promotional financing terms, and Jenny rudely told me that it was "not their job" to tell me and that I should have done my own research. Later, when I called back to have a different card charged and the CareCredit charge reversed, Jenny told me it would take several days because Ginger was not there. I said okay and hung up. Jenny then called me back with an attitude, demanding to know why I hung up and actually lecturing me on how I should have ended the phone call. When I calmly reminded her that she is not my mother and cannot police how I end a conversation, it was absurd. When I later texted them to cancel all my remaining appointments, they had the nerve to ask me if I was going somewhere else--which is wildly unprofessional and none of their business. Between the constant disrespect of my name, a hostile hygienist slamming doors over toothpaste flavors, a failing crown within a year, a sloppy procedure due to lack of attention, and outright hostility and unprofessionalism from the front office, I will never return and cannot recommend this practice to anyone.

Over the past year or so, I've had repeated billing issues -- told I had a large credit and owed nothing, only to get a bill the next month, then another for the same amount even after calling to fix it. I also had my worst filling experience here, where the cavity got overfilled, changing it's shape, and ended up getting a much more expensive and painful root canal to fix it. Today was the final straw. I had a 4:00 PM cleaning booked months ago and took time off work for it. At 2:06 PM, while in a meeting, I got a text asking me to confirm because someone else wanted my slot. Fourteen minutes later, they canceled my appointment via voicemail and gave it away -- no warning, no call, no mention of any new confirmation policy, not even the courtesy of enough time to check my phone. In nearly ten years, I've never missed an appointment and have rarely replied to reminder texts (I literally only have record of confirming once out of 4x a year for a decade), so this came out of nowhere. When I called, the manager was dismissive and acted like it was normal and acceptable to cancel a pre-scheduled appointment an hour before, which is absurd and awful customer care. People have jobs and responsibilities. Canceling with less than two hours' notice because someone else wanted the time I already committed to shows no respect or care for patients. Even their billing department takes longer than 14 minutes to return a call. I truly love several of the hygienists and have been loyal for years, but the management's lack of compassion, accountability, and basic customer service skills has made it impossible to recommend this office anymore. If you want a cleaning today, they might bump another patient for you... just don't count on keeping your appointment.
