This place is a solid 4. It's in the middle of a parking lot that looks like a old casino or something. Plenty of parking and place is huge inside. Tons of TVs. Huge bar. Food was not great. Bartender recommended the ribs. Special of the day. "Full rack with potato's and corn on the cob" sounded good. Ribs are the cheap restaurant style. Think Applebees. Thin. Not a lot of meat lots of grizzle pieces. Potatoes were French fries. And corn was a cold ear with no butter. Service was good and beer was cold. We went here and had the worst service. We had to track down our waiter multiple times. We waited over 30 minutes to get our bill and finally asked the bartender for it and after that still waited forever to pay. I had to go to the kitchen to get the waiter so I can pay. The place was empty, it's not like he was busy. I was almost tempted to just leave because clearly they forgot about us anyway. The food was not good either. Great amount of space, wide selection for food and drinks, noise level is balanced, great layout with plenty of TVs (over 30!). *The NFL games can get a big loud, but it's great to see so much team spirit (we're not 49er fans, but we like to see the team spirit). The parking lot is a little rough for cars that have low profile tires/ rims. But it's not bad if you drive slow and can see the ground. Some of the food is a hit or miss, but it's not bad overall. This place is close to the Lake Perris State recreational area and was a nice surprise after a day at the lake. A lot of room with a lot of TVs. There weren't a lot of people for a Friday night and there should have been more. If you weren't there you missed out. Very good atmosphere. Looked clean and new. We had the spicy edamame appetizer (large portion), a cup of chili, a loaded baked potato, vegetables and the prime rib that did't disappoint. Pablo did a great job with service. Very attentive. Food was awful, no flavor in any of it . Vegetables were not cooked , who wants to eat hard broccoli and carrots ! Salmon had no flavor at all and baked potato was not loaded at all ( had a teaspoon of cheese and fake bacon bits that were stale. The steak was not cooked right and you needed a chainsaw to cut it ( if you don't know how to cook a steak then take it off your menu) . Appetizer was bland until you bite in and the mozzarella sticks were like chewing on a tire. I heard good reviews so thought I'd try it out but we were even charged $5 for parking . Food was below standards . Awful food and some of it is so overpriced for inadequate food that we won't be going back, hot dogs a lake are better. The customer service was slow but nice . The reviews on here that have 5 stars must have been from friends of the owner and staff or they have no taste buds. How hard is it to season the food and actually cook a steak correctly. Not to mention cooking the veggies by actually steaming them and not just dipping them in hot water for a whole second. I read some of the reviews concerning the Derby room the ones that are 5 star and lament about how the bar drinks that are 2nd to none and the food was awesome completely overexaggerated. I visited for the 1st time with 2 of the friends and we had never been there before so when we sat down we asked the waiter about the appetizer he overplayed the size of the appetizer and how tasty the appetizers was. The food on the plate was small andnthey needed to either change the cooking oil or they over cooked some of the food. I also ordered the old fashioned and asked the server if the drink came with one large ice cube? He said yes, it didn't and the bar needs to learn how to make an old fashioned. Next was the food, i got the fish and chips. Again, the server over stated the fish portion (they were more like fish fingers than portions) and agin they need to changenthe cooking oil. My friend ordered the fried rice and she could even finish it, the rice was so dry. But the kicker to me was the bottle of Sriracha on the table. You know how sometimes the top of the bottle has dried sauce from being poured? Well, the bottle was completely full and had residue. Tell tale sign of how they refill a bottle but didn't clean it off. Then I tasted the Sriracha, yuck! It was watered down and taste really weired. The kitchen needs some serious management, the food, quality, and menu needs a total re-do. I would go for a beer or a whiskey neat, but beyond that do not pay for the food. read more

Our first visit here for football Sunday and they are extremely packed but still able to accommodate us right away. It's a fun and enthusiastic atmosphere and the wings were great. Unfortunately we had some issues with management not changing the tv for us. We asked for an hour to change the tv, so we ended up moving seats on our own because we were tired of waiting. Eventually the manger came over and apologized. I've worked in the restaurant business for many many years so I understand being busy but next time maybe don't make guests wait an hour and taking things into our hands to come by. I did appreciate her apology and understand it was sincere. On Sunday May 14th @ 7 pm ( Mother's Day night ) my family and I went to the derby room for Mother's Day dinner. Two days later I check my bank account and seen that the server added $20 tip to the bill which is theft! I hope the manager Lisa can please get a hold of me regarding this matter. My family and I frequent this restaurant any chance we get , It is sad to say this has happened to us. Nasty Nasty Nasty. The chips were SUPER salty. Spinach Dip was unlike anything I have seen before. As you can see from the picture it was super thick nothing but cream cheese and the same thing goes for the southwestern egg rolls. They were loaded/stuffed with cream cheese jalapeño and about 6 black beans . The Carne Asada fries was ok but the guacamole that was on it was brown. Extremely Disappointing. Drinks were ok.. The Manage/Bartender Michelle was nice enough to not charge for the sampler after I literally could not eat one thing. One another note the atmosphere, music and the look of the bar it self was outstanding. I would definitely come for a girls night out or to watch a Sports game with shots and beer only. read more

Been twice now, will definitely keep going. Staff is awesome and manager is attentive and welcoming. Atmosphere can be crazy on a busy night with people gambling and screaming at the horse races, but we like that. Food is ok, nothing to complain about, but nothing to write home about either, I will try a few more dishes and hopefully amend this review.
