I usually love mac salad, so i was especially looking forward to that, but unfortunately, it was pretty underwhelming as well. The most disappointing was the service. We suggested a couple types of food and they found some great food trucks, sent us menus, were very clear with pricing (including the "all in" cost -- no tricks or hidden fees), and handled all of the arrangements with the food truck for us. Ultimately, we went with a grill menu with gyros, chicken pitas, burgers, fries, etc. and the food was awesome! They provided food and drinks for about 100 employees with very efficient and friendly service. The event was a huge success and we would definitely use Trucked Up Catering again for future events.

That is, he blamed the new guy even though he was the one who made the mistake - the new guy was doing the right thing. I didn't like that he was blaming some innocent underling for his mistake so I said "why are you blaming this guy? you're the one who made the mistake." He said "he was about to give you two free cups!" Which of course he wasn't about to do because I'd in fact paid for him. Even if they were about to give me 2 free cups that would have been appropriate given the fact that he just blasted lemon juice in my pre-schooler's eyes. Anyway, the dude kinda sucked.

But the prices have become awfully hard to justify. A baked potato with teriyaki sauce and about five small chunks of chicken is $12.95. Add just a few dollars and you're approaching the price of an entrée at a sit-down restaurant with table service. Thirteen dollars for a baked potato with five cubes of chicken on top? In my opinion, that's greedflation. At some point, customers have to decide when the price simply doesn't match what's on the plate. If we keep paying prices like these without objecting, we're also telling restaurants we're willing to pay whatever you want, and again when prices go up once more. I'm guessing the actual food cost to the restaurateur for that baked potato is likely between $1.00 and $2.00, max. That's a hell of a profit Michael's.
