In the course of four days, we had a new roof, new trim, new gutters, and new insulation. Each part of the project required a different team. Each crew finished their task within the projected timeframe. Home Genius coordinated everything, including ordering and delivering the materials and arranging for the delivery and removal of the dumpster. Thanks to our Project Coordinator Ivan, every step in the process went smoothly. He arranged for workers to be at our home on consecutive days: we did not have any time in between steps waiting for availability of the next team. Lucas answered while on an existing job. He was very honest saying he can't drop by to make an assessment. Knowing the importance of the situation, he said he'll have his father drop by to take a look. The father (was it Joe?) came by as promised and saw that the previous roofer didn't put flashing around a portion of the chimney. He gave a couple of possible fixes and I picked the more expensive one. He gave me a break on price if i went with the more expensive fix which i appreciated. Before showing up for the work due to budgeting issues i changed to the lower price solution. He didn't have any problems with this change. He and his other son (not Lucas) came on the day as promised. The funny thing was I didn't know they were there until i heard banging outside! They ripped some of the old roof tiles, installed new flashing and overlay them with some leftover tiles I had laying around. They also caulked around other parts of the chimney. They cleaned up their mess. There were aome storms afterwards and no leak! Thx to Lucas for knowing the importance of the problem and having your father and brother fit me into their schedule. We called Mr. Belardo but he would not talk to us as he was upset that he gave us an estimate for our shed roof, and we did not hire him. We had gotten a better price. In the meantime, we have had a couple of roofers come and look at the problem. They have both told us the the roof was not done properly. We have contacted Mr. Belardo a couple of times to discuss the problem but he will not return our calls.
