The first time was simply for a clogged toilet and while they did come out within 24 hours, they spent more time trying to upsell me on their membership than just fixing my toilet. Yesterday was the last straw. My tankless water heater stopped working and I called them to see if they could come out promptly. The only reason they are getting two stars instead of one is they were able to come out that afternoon. The gentleman that they sent was unfamiliar and under trained to be able to diagnose my tankless water heater. I'll save you the details but he ended up recommending a $1000 part replacement that was unnecessary. Moreover, when he reassembled my water heater, he put a part on backwards that the other plumber I called to actually solve the problem noticed as soon as he took the face plate off. Ultimately, the correct answer was that my tankless water heater needed to be serviced and flushed--far less cost than a needless part replacement. On top of being incompetent, before he even started to diagnose the hot water heater error codes he was working to upsell us on a new $6000 system rather than help us understand how our current system was deficient. When he wasn't up selling us on a new system altogether, he was trying to get us again to join their membership program. Please avoid Ideal Plumbing if you actually want to get honest service that isn't a con job or focused on monthly recurring revenue for Ideal.

They did a sewer scope and provided their report stating the pipes were in good condition although they are old and had a lot of build up, and recommended a hydro jetting. Based on Sewer Pros report we felt comfortable that the pipes were in good condition and that positively impacted our decision to buy the house. A few weeks later right before moving in, we noticed the toilets slow draining and water coming up instead of down, then I decided to hired a plumber to come over to look at this issue. This company said there was a clog ran another camera inspection in the sewer to only find out the pipes were in terrible and deteriorating condition in multiple areas. After comparing both videos, this plumber realized Sewer Pros missed out on scoping multiple areas during their inspection. When I reached out to Sewer Pros and explained what was going on, they asked to come back and re-inspect. This time their manager was the one who came. Josh did his inspection this time using the clean outs in the front yard and decided their first assessment was accurate. Sewer Pros took ZERO accountability for a major miss on their part. Two weeks later after Josh performed the re-inspection, we came to find some water puddling up in the front yard by the clean outs. Thinking it was an irrigation issue, my husband went to check it out to only find out the clean out caps were un-screwed. When Josh came to re-inspect he left the clean outs OPEN!!! This caused sewage water to puddle up on my front lawn as well as mulch and dirt to go into the drains. This caused another clog in the pipes and during the labor day weekend we had to call an emergency plumbing service to come over. When reaching out to Sewer Pros Friday before labor day, no one would answer the phone later on Friday or Saturday morning and all we got was a unprofessional answer from Josh via email. The emergency plumber also mentioned the pipe that run to the street was collapsed. After so many validations regarding issues with the pipes we decided to have a few other companies come by to evaluate these pipes issues and how much would cost to fix it. By the way, all the companies that have come here and done an inspection recommended AGAINST hydro jetting due to the state of the pipes, this was exactly what Sewer Pros recommended, which the high pressure would have likely bursted the pipes. The issues I've had to fix due to Sewer Pros negligence and incompetence are now in the $30K. We never got one message or call apologizing or being empathetic for their mistakes, quite the contrary. Their business model is very well thought, "we ONLY do inspections (and hydro jetting) hence we are unbiased and don't try to push any work on our clients", the truth is, their are just checking the boxes. When you hire them for the only thing they do, sewer scope, they rush the cam down the pipes, provide you the video and that's it. They actually don't even have a plumbing license so that's why they can't do any work themselves! I recommend you have your pipes inspected by California Plumbing, Drain Mob, Almco plumbing or Core Plumbing instead who are professional and ethical businesses. Stay away from Sewer Pros at all costs!

Had a sudden shower leak in an upstairs bathroom on a Sunday night. Water flooded our kitchen…read morethrough the ceiling .I called Carmel Valley Plumbing and spoke with Jeff Monday morning. Jeff came out immediately that morning, identified the leak and initiated repairs. Knowing we would have to file a claim with our homeowners insurance because of the moisture damage on both floors, Jeff then began to perform mitigation of the wet drywall in the bathroom and our downstairs kitchen. He was very efficient and took all the necessary photos and wrote up his report for submission to our insurance company to open a claim for reimbursement. Within about four hours everything was sealed off and dryers were in place for the next 72 hours. The entire time Jeff was in constant contact with myself and my wife Guiding us through the steps we needed to file our claim. He also worked with our insurance company adjuster. We were able to get 100% of our cost for repairs covered because of his effectiveness getting the proper documentation to our insurer. Without hesitation if I ever need any kind of plumbing work in the future, CARMEL Valley Plumbing is on my speed dial. I cannot recommend them enough. Honest, excellent service skills, straight shooter, very fair pricing. I had used Carmel Valley Plumbing once before in the past regarding a drop in water pressure to my house. A service rep from ASI Heating and Plumbing told me I had to cut a mainline and replace a shut-off and a pressure regulator valve. The estimate was almost $1500!. On a recommendation of a neighbor, I called CVP and Jeff came to my house. In 15 minutes he did an inspection of the lines and valves. Explain to me his in process the entire time. Jeff then went outside to the side of the house and turned open a water valve.....lo and behold my water pressure was back to normal again. Apparently our gardener or someone must have partially closed the valve. He saved me from a very expensive and unnecessary repair! More important to note is that Jeff did not charge me anything for his 15 minutes of time and his service call. That's the type of company Carmel Valley Plumbing is. High integrity and very fair. Romeo was very nice and professional and fixed the problem right away. I asked Romeo about their repiping services since it's something we know we should probably do since our almost 50 year old pipes are in the slab, but we're dreading it. He called their repipe guy, Alec, who actually came right out to see the situation. He spent a long time looking at every little detail and walking us through the whole project. Unfortunately, it was just more than we could stomach at this time, having JUST smoothed and painted the walls and ceilings 8 months ago (and that was awful, too). But, we'll keep them in mind for the work in the future when we can manage it.
