I first used them for junk removal at my Hancock Pond property in Summer 2024. What impressed me most was their willingness to travel to our location - not many companies will make the trip out to Hancock Pond, but O'Brien Services showed up exactly on time. Their team was professional from start to finish and got the job done efficiently. No fuss, no delays, just quality work. This year, I hired them again for another project. Once again, they arrived punctually despite having to travel a considerable distance. The same high level of professionalism and efficiency I experienced the first time around. I will absolutely be hiring O'Brien Services again. It's rare to find a company that consistently delivers on their promises, especially one willing to service more remote locations. If you're looking for dependable junk removal services, I highly recommend giving them a call. Pros: * Always on time * Professional service * Efficient work * Willing to travel to remote locations * Consistent quality across multiple visits

I needed 2 open wires to porch lights repaired as it was dangerous to leave them open, 2 outlets,…read moreas well as 2 kitchen lights replaced, "one was zapping, the other was flickering." Jack said his hourly rate was only $100, but then he brought a "helper" with him @ $50 hour extra. They secured one wire to a porch light, but in 3 hours didn't have time to work on the other porch light or to replace 2 light fixtures, as they were repairing 5 outlets, of which 2 are obsolete, not in need, not on my list, not a safety issue. Jack charged me $500. I was unable to provide a photo of the poor workmanship on the 3 in one lightswitch/GFCI. Jack told me that he would come back when I had more money. I had told him up front "I am a low income senior." The only way to come up with another $440 was to not pay on my credit card. He said he got FREE light bulbs from Efficiency Maine, as do I. He used his and profited. He made me an appt. for 4 months later October 30 @ 7:30am. On that date he sent a text @ 7am rescheduling for afternoon which was inconvenient for me, but I had no choice as I was expecting 100 Trick-or-Treaters. He kept switching up the plan as to how he should go about working on the exterior porch light. Finally, we agreed on turning one of the obsolete outlets into a light switch. Why didn't he just do that 4 months earlier eliminating the fire danger? So, in fact, Jack charged to repair an obsolete outlet, then charged me again to undo that receptacle and turn it into a light switch. They finally got my 3 new light installed. So a total of $940. So little work was accomplished. My 3 in one lightswitch system looks unprofessional. One lightswitch is not flush with the cover, we are having a difficult time using the outlet, they didn't put in all 8 screws and the 4-piece outlet cover is old, dirty and severely cracked... I texted my concerns to Jack and he kept putting words in my mouth. He was dishonest. He kept bragging about his business. Poor planning on his part cost me double the money and unnecessary frustration. He kept telling me that he had bills too. It's been 4 months. I will start the process with the Maine Attorney General to mediate.

Great local business! Saved me a huge headache! I recently purchased a brand new Lenovo from…read moreStaples. Because I was moving, the new laptop got packed away before even coming out of the box. A month later I started up the new Lenovo and the screen immediately began to glitch. My new machine was defective right out of the box. I took it back to Staples thinking it would be a simple exchange. It was not. Their story policy did not all for the return/exchange as i missed the return window for electronics. Staples tried to bring the machine up but the defective monitor did not allow for and repair/diagnosis. Rats! But the machine was still under factory warranty. I placed a trouble ticket on the Lenovo website and was assigned a case on February 2, 2021. I waited about two weeks, thinking I would at least have a follow-up message about my machine. I replied to the email with my case number asking for an estimate. I use my laptop for my writing gig on the side (and to post these Yelp reviews!) Bottom line, I needed to get back on the web ASAP. I frequent Topsham where this unassuming little shop is located on the second floor of suite 2 in Topsham Fair Mall and thought, I'll check it out. I was impressed by the cozy waiting room, masks were being enforced due to covid, and social distance measures were put into place, clear dividers were used to shield customers and staff. I sat down with owner/head tech Josh who specializes in Lenovos. He was sympathetic to my plight and said Lenovo will probably never get back to me, so he offered to take over my repair claim and with his magic connections he'd give them a call. WHAT A RELEIF! I was able to unload my headache and put it in the hands of a professional repair tech who has over 15 years experience in the industry. Mr. Mason provided top-notch customer service, he really empathized with my plight. I trust my machine is in good hands.
