He rolled his eyes at me and said that there are signs all over the place that says they except cash only if I don't like it I can go to an ATM. I then reminded him of his sign that says cards are accepted during business hours, and he started screaming at me. I've never experienced such a ridiculous and unprofessional situation. This should be a simple transaction no more no less. They are simply trying to avoid credit card fees and taxes and charging exorbitant prices for a rundown trailer park.

My wife and I jumped in our motorhome and headed to Denver to see our kids. Although their website…read morebasically says they do not take reservations, the staff did everything they could to accommodate us.. AND THEY DID. Friendly is all I can say! We drove from AZ to Albuquerque and stayed at Sandia for 2 nights, then off to Denver. Windy! Yes. The trip was longer than expected fighting the wind. When we arrived, the staff was friendly and helpful getting us in to space 79 (i think). There are a lot of full timers there including each side of us. Everyone in the park waved hello as they walked or drove by. The park was clean. Only the landscaping needed a little better attention. No trash except for the occasional napkin and such going by. Everyday maintenance employees in golf carts flying by and doing their jobs. I would highly recommend this place as a location for a week, a month, or even longer! 4 Star review only because of the grounds, which were not bad, just needs attention.

I lived at Barr Lake RV Park for more than 2 years. The management is terrible and non existent. Kathy has worked and lived there for many years. She is very helpful nice lady who has been completely shutdown by the manager I can't remember his name now but who never goes to visit to see what is actually happening at the park. Sandy is a newer lady that they hired and she is a worthless disgusting alcoholic nasty lady. She also lives on site and they both hate each other so you can imagine that drama. About a year ago they had all residents sign some ridiculous "rules" paper that was never enforced. It had rules like you can't have trash outside of your RV and you can't work on your vehicles and so on. The WiFi doesn't reach all the trailers. There's about 99 spots total. The majority of people here are long term which is the only thing I liked about the park is how long you can stay. The maintenance man Craig also lives on site and frequently visits Sandy to drink throughout the day when he is supposed to be working. The bathrooms were disgusting until they remodeled them about a year ago. People still don't flush the toilets with poop it's quite disgusting. The only reason why I used the bathroom was for the shower not the toilet to use the hot water. I saw a review about them having a sandbox near the playground that's about to fall over. No no it's more like cat litter. Please don't let your children play in that nasty thing. The owner should fire the manager he is very rude on the phone and cares nothing about the park. A lot of violence happened there to include shootings and theft of motorcycles and trailers.

Did after 2 calls get the maintenance person to stop by about the racoon. The rules here are different for different people. Some people have large dogs, some people have dangerous dogs. even though the contract and the website says no dogs over 18' my neighbor has purchased a full sized Doberman. The maintenance director told me it was approved because they brough the paper work from the vet. Well this dog has charged myself and my 84 year old mom 4 times and we finally contacted animal control. multiple calls to the office went unanswered. Message after message went unanswered. Rules about fences, dogs and yard maintenance are only for those they choose. the contract says only chain-link and I received a warning for extending my fence and not using chain link. however there iron, wood, pvc, Pickett fences. Our safety has been at risk due to water/sprinkle, dog, racoon issues. Medical care and costs for a fall due to the water issue has been astronomical. Speaking of water, the community is on wells and some days you have pressure and some days you do not. Your clothes smell when you wash them and have to use a lot fabric softener to help. I was at one time happy and loved all my neighbors and still do most. The dog issue is to much as we are vulnerable to their bullying and intimidation

It's right on the Bear Creek bike which can take you anywhere on paved trails in the Denver area. Everything is nearby that you could imagine. I'm grateful that I found this place. I bought an affordable brand new manufactured home and couldn't be happier. The community center with pool Jacuzzi fitness center and outdoor area is all brand new and perfect. If you need laundry, the laundry room is very efficient and affordable. Some call us a diamond in the rough. I feel safe here and the management is wonderful and attentive and responsive to my needs
