Randomly walked in after dinner and drinks across the street because of the ice cream ad they had displayed outside. What a treat! This is such a cute place where you can buy a book, get a glass of wine, hang out, and get ice cream. If I lived closer to here, I would be here every day. It looks like they have a great selection of books because of their intentional displays. I really liked stepping into a bookstore that is independently owned and there for the customers - a breath of fresh air. The server greeted us almost immediately and was ready to serve us some quality ice cream. They had quite the selection of ice cream as well and pretty reasonably prices Really impressed with Denver Book Society. This is a great venue to have along 17th. I hope many are taking advantage of all they have to offer.

After stopping for dinner at a nearby business, we were looking for dessert and were enticed by a sandwich board advertising High Point Creamery Ice Cream, so we walked into the very inviting Denver Book Society. The ice cream selection is at the front next to the patio and indoor seating. A counter and cashier also offer other snacks and beverages, including beer and wine. It was fun to look at the displays of books that were carefully curated. The one up front had books that were on popular book club lists, others had books based on themes. There were many offerings to keep customers and the community engaged such as bingo cards for prizes, live music, book clubs, and collabs with DCPA (The Outsiders was the most recent one). Was very impressed to find this bookstore based on theme and community. I wished I lived closer, but will definitely stop by again when in the neighborhood.

Nestled on a corner, this local coffee shop offers books, a cafe, and ice cream. Welcoming environment, with friendly and helpful service. They offer various genres to browse from. Highly recommend stopping by!

Found this gem while visiting Denver and I will absolutely be back during my next MileHigh visit. Amazing! The people were so friendly and the shop itself is well stocked, comfortable, and clean. There is a nice variety of on the shelves and good coffee to be had at the cafe indoors. Nothing but good things to say about Denver Book Society.

I saw this place on Instagram and I was curious and wanted to visit because I saw the Heated Rivalry cutout and that's currently my obsession so I had to check it out to visit the "cottage" for myself. It's a cute local bookshop. There's a large table in the back with a community puzzle. The bricks make it look quite rustic. They have a decent selection of book genres in. It is smaller than I thought. We only spent like 30 minutes here.

Never mad at another bookstore within walking distance. I think their inventory will increase once they've been open a bit longer.

The owner herself, Miss Risa was taking care of creating this unique culinary experience. The first service we chose a peach oolong. This was served with a green salad and broccoli quiche. Wonderful! I cannot tell you what the salad was dressed with, but the flavors!!!! The quiche was absolutely perfect from crust to cheesy top. Second service was Yellow submarine. This refreshing chamomile was infused with dried pineapple and mango. The first cup was good, but the second was delightful. The fruit had time to meld with the chamomile and created an epic infusion. The third service was a Moroccan mint. This was just as wonderful as you would expect. We were served an open face curry egg salad and a homemade fermented cucumber on a seasoned cream cheese. The flavors were wonderful. The sweet serving was a blueberry scone with Lemmon curd, apple cake and macrons. Service was top notch, the owner came over to chat with us. We even had a chance to spend time with one of the guides from the local Black History Museum. This was a delightful end to our amazing day! Thank you for the hospitality

What a cute tea house!…read more We accidentally stumbled across this place as we were heading north of downtown, looking for a place to satisfy our thirst from being in the summer sun, our throats parched from walking 16th mall and strolling in museums. As we came in we were greeted right away and sat at the table by the window where there sat many cool antique teapots. We were instantly wrapped by the coziness and ordered a pot of the Ginger Peach Rooibos. As we waited for the freshly craft to brew, we bopped and grooved to the beats of soulful R&B vibing the space. So chill, so peaceful, so relaxing. When we got our pot of tea, we got a little stand with a candle that kept the pot warm allowing us to take our time sipping on tea. We opt for honey with our tea which went really well with the ginger peach tea. It was so good, we ordered a cold version to go. Lovely place with lovely tea!

When you walk in, it's full of gorgeous decor and plenty of plants, true to their namesake. There is a lot of places for people to come in and take photos, read, buy books, and enjoy the atmosphere. In the lobby, there is complementary sparkling waters, which I thought was really great as I took my time shifting through the different books. The selection was pretty good. There were a lot of books that were "hot" right now on social media, as well as ones that were hidden gems that you may not have heard of. The price was equal to what you'd pay at a big book store chairs (so why not support local!). They also have a selection of used books that are greatly discounted. The person that was working when I went in, was very kind and gave us some recommendations, and also talk to us about our day. I found out that they host quite a bit of community writing events as well, which was so cool to learn!
