Walking into this establishment we were approached about the rules.. we were told we can't dry unless we wash there. Dryers here do not dry to their full potential - it honestly felt a bit scammy, the amount of quarters I had to use to fully dry a load of clothes. All & All.. The harassment wasn't even worth the dry. We will not be going back. read more

Very clean place. All machines are like new and clean. The manager/owner was super accommodating and helped us with a king size quilt that would not fit in our home machine. I would definitely use this place again. read more

Very clean and wonderful service, will definitely come back again, thanks for the converstation.

I was forced to seek paid clothes washing services when my washer flooded my utility room the afternoon I had guests coming for the weekend - ugh! Enter Denton Highway Laundromat, a clean, nicely maintained laundromat equipped with shiny new stainless washers and dryers. It's been a long time since I've visited a laundromat and I found the washers to be high-tech and available in a surprising variety of sizes. There were five different capacities of frontloading washers available with prices for a single wash ranging from $2.50 to $8.50. Wash time was 23 minutes for most of the machines, 25 for the largest. I was able to stuff what would've taken three loads in my top loader at home into a single front loader for a wash that cost $6.50. The washers lock while they operate. So, I used the 20 minutes to go across the street for a car wash and was back before the cycle was completed. The woman who ran the laundromat was very helpful, explaining where the detergent went in the various machines and how much laundry could fit in each one. As an obvious newbie I attracted good natured laundry small talk from the friendly community of those-who-pay-for-washing. A tatted tank top and ponytail patron illustrated the size of each washer by detailing his loads with me, "10 work shirts and drawers" was my favorite quote of the experience. One small improvement would have been if the machines accepted credit cards or bills. I don't normally carry cash, but happened to have $10 in my wallet. $6.50 is a lot of quarters to feed into a machine! If I can't fix or replace my water at home right away, I'll be a return customer to Denton Highway Laundromat. read more

The laundromat was clean and had plenty of machines. The owner was there and was very pleasant and helpful.

I never thought I would grow so attached to a laundry mat. Its clean, the owner is always so nice and is very helpful. I'm pretty sure that I delayed buying a washer and dryer just so I wouldn't have to give up my reading time at the laundry mat. read more

Great laundromat to do your laundry!! The person working there is very helpful and washers n dryers are in great condition. Definitely going back when I need to wash my bedspreads. read more

so many rules!! can not wash rugs or dog beds. if you don't wash it there, you can not dry it there. And for pitty sake do not slam the doors! The Warden comes running over and tells you about it. Its run by the laundry inmates and warden!!! read more

Had so much comforters sets to wash since we had a house full of guest. Decided to go to the laundromat to get everything washed and dried at once! This place is as super clean! I believe it was the owner that was constantly walking around wiping everything down! I would use this laundromat again read more

Really satisfied with the cleanliness, user friendly appliances, affordable prices, and professionalism from the attendant. The attendant was so kind and helpful. This will definitely be my home away from home laundromat. The vending machines are so organized and has a big variety of snacks and items to purchase. Please check them out you will not be disappointed!! read more

There are many machines and you have an atm to withdraw money. I really suggest. Nice place while waiting

My washer broke and I had to visit a laundry mat for the first time. This laundry place is one of the best around. The management is very friendly and helpful. They cleaned and wiped down the machines during my whole visit. I would definitely recommended it. read more

Super clean! A lot of laundry places feel kinda dingy but this place was great. Air conditioned, all the machines worked and it was so dang clean. The owner wipes down every machine as soon as people are done using it. Great place. read more

Washers are pricey. Dryers are slow, ineffective, and ruined 2 of my blankets. I've never had a laundromat ruin my laundry this way. Facilities are clean and I like the sample-size products in the vending machine, but now I have to replace my blankets. I won't be back. read more

I live right next to this place and I have for years. I no longer go because there are too many rules. The owners stare at you and follow you around. My washer is broken but you cannot dry if you don't wash there. You're not considered a customer. It's a little pricey as it is and the prices are always charging. I go down the street for better service and I can dry all I want. read more

My dryer broke and I needed to go to work the next day so I washed my 2 loads in my washer. Then I took them up to this Laundromat that I used before. They told me no that the dryers are for washing customers only. I will now take my business elsewhere!! I will go to Modern Wash on Watauga Rd where they allowed me to dry my clothes. read more

Very clean and well maintained. Would highly recommend. There's always someone cleaning up after you use the machines. If your not sure, there's always someone to answer your questions. read more

Washer on the blink. Took towels, sheets and comforter. Very clean facility and machines. Helpful owner/ operator. Have supplies and snacks for sale. An Atm and changer maker. I like that they have 2 entrances so either side if the parking lot is by a door. Also like its a free standing business and not a strip mall. The bad reviews I saw didnt deter me from trying because all bad reviews were about dog hair. I actually appreciate strick no animal hair policy because even ONE item with dog hair means everyone who uses the machine also had dog hair now. 5 stars. read more

This place is immaculate. I mean the workers are always cleaning very friendly and always there to help!! Only place I do laundry!!

CLEAN. CLEAN. CLEAN. Very helpful management. They have a variety of washer sizes depending on the load. ALL working! My favorite is definitely the 8 loader where I can wash my king size comforter with room to spare or 2 weeks worth of laundry in just 25 minutes! They also have free Wi-Fi, multiple flat screen TVs, and 4 vending machines with soaps, drinks and snacks that keeps me one happy customer. Also, along with their basic coin return that returns your bills for coins (right side), they have the bill recycler (left side). It returns bills in $5. So when I put in my $20 bill, I only get $5 in coins and the other $15 dollars is returned in three $5 bills. Really convenient! read more

Rudely asked me to leave , I went back to try to ask if he knew for laudrymat and the non English speaking human that so call owns the place Called me a fat ass because I had dog hair on one of my towels.... It was only one towel! First of all I could just not washed one towel but he seriously got mad. I understand that in his country they shoot dogs because they hate them but we are America! He must of forgot that dogs here are valued! It's simply stop snooping in my dirty clothes stop calling people names and don't forget your in America not your homeland country, if you don't like it leave! read more

The attendant will stalk you like a crazy man. Do you have pets he asked? No. We don't allow washing your things if you have pets. Really?! No ATM for change but a lot of rules on what you can't do. Can't can't can't. A nice lady used dishwashing liquid and he lost his wig. It's other laundromats in town Dont waist your time or money here. BTW to expensive read more

Absolutely horrible. Let me start off by saying that the facility itself is very nice. Nice large washers and dryers, brand-new and very spacious. However. I come in and am paying for 7 loads of laundry (40 dollars worth) and I grab myself a laundry cart. As I'm waiting for my multiple loads to get done, Mary comes up to me as if she is my mother shaking her finger at me saying "No no no, get up. Right now." And take the cart away from me to give to another person, when I am ACTIVELY using it. Absolutely absurd when I'm dropping that much money in a laundry mat. That I can't have 1 ONE SINGLE cart? Wow. read more

Literally the cleanest and the staff is very friendly to me. Even though I moved away from the Watauga area, I still make the 20 minute drive to wash here. read more

This place was very nice and very well kept. Our machine has been broken for weeks and we finally had to take 3 weeks worth of laundry in on a Sunday afternoon. It was very crowded, but the manager helped us find machines and helped my husband get change. It was pretty pricey, but the quality of the machines made up for it. I watched the manger wipe down the machines inside and out between each use. I don't think he sat still for even a minute! If he wasn't helping a customer he was emptying trash, wiping machines, sweeping the floor. He even made sure waiting customers had rolling carts to put their laundry in. There were plenty of fans to keep the air circulating and multiple flat screen TVs to keep us entertained. I'm hoping my machine gets fixed, but if not I will certainly be back! read more

Update Agree with you on most parts, except you didn't mention anything about your attitude towards customers my main complaint. Yelling, swearing, constant following people around. Your attitude toward the customers made me extremely uncomfortable that I can't come here no longer. Even though your venue is clean and well kept that is not the only reason I would want to come. I have found a new laundromat that is clean and the people there are very sweet and treat there customers as if they were doing there own laundry in there own home. read more

The owner was great. Very friendy and happy we were vending with his business. The business was very clean with a good climate mixing the hot weather outside and the dryer heat inside. I was comfortable and it was fast in getting our laundry dried. Great substitute for a broken dryer at home. read more

First off. Avoid Busy times- Busy Days because good luck finding parking. Everyone and their momma and kids, and grandmas come here. Literally. Cleanliness It's new, so yes all the machines are super nice, wash well, facility is super clean- giant tv's for all you screen staring lovers. Prices Expensive. I'm just glad I'm moving into a new apartment with washers and dryers in my unit. I only come here to wash my comforters really. If you're one of those people who shove all one ginormous load and colors into a big washer, yeah this laundry mat will work for you. But if you're like me, separating and very OCD about color mixing. Be prepared to drop some coins. Minus 2 stars for the price per load. read more

Exceptionally clean!!! Appears to be fairly new. Very nice and clean machines. The owner was wiping down the machines we used as soon as we removed our clothes. I will make this my go to laundromat!!! Thank you!!! read more

This place is very clean, well lit, and very stress free. I came in a couple weeks ago with a king size mattress pad and the owner helped me out. He told me which machine would be the most cost effective and how I should dry it. He was such a big help when the pad was soaking wet from the washer. I'm definitely a loyal customer to this laundromat. read more

Dry clean facility with lots of washers and dryers. A little pricy for their largest washers ($7.00) but it does hold a lot. Dryers are between $0.50-2.00. Change machine and ATM inside with drink and snack options. read more

If I could give zero stars I literal would. This is a nice new laundry mat. Clean and everything you could want when going to wash your clothes. The issue comes with the man who runs the establishment. As I walked in he started directing me to where I was "supposed to go". The more expensive machines however I didn't have enough clothes to need to use those ones. So I proceeded to the medium and small washing machines, 2 medium and 1 s started sorting my clothes into three washing machines. He then comes by and says you really need a larger one. None of the washers were even half full. So I finally fill one of the washing machines. I go to close the door. At this point he has been literally standing over me pretending to mop the same area over and over. He tells me not to slam the door. Which I had not done. He points to a sign saying see can you not read it says don't slam. I tell him again sir I didn't slam the door. He wasn't even latched at that point. So I ask him if there is a problem due to the fact of the tone he was talking in and the way he was acting. He then processed to ask me was I mad in a very antagonizing manner. I am a young woman. All of this made me feel extremely uncomfortable . So for obvious reasons I left and will never be returning. I just moved to the area saw it was new and had 4 stars. So I thought I was in the clear. Obviously I was wrong. Maybe he was just having a bad day but it was a very uncomfortable situation especially with him looking over me while I sort my laundry, under garments included. So all in all I would say be careful. Especially if you're a woman going by yourself. There was plenty of other patrons all in groups and he never said I word to any of them. Hope everyone else has a much better experience than I did. read more

Been to a few laundromats around here, and this is where I'll stay. The owner is always there and immediately wiping down and cleaning machines that have been used. Very friendly staff, It's always clean, and they have several machine options that they're always willing to recommend depending on what you bring in. read more

Clean, clean, clean!! So clean that the stainless steel machines shine...No Joke! Robert, the onsite manager, is continuously walking around picking up stray pieces of used drying sheets from the floor, wiping the front of the machines, checking the drums on the inside of the machines for forgotten pieces of clothing, wiping the cleaning supply intake receptacles above the washing machines, talking to people, assisting people obtain a rolling laundry cart, opening doors for people who have their hands full, wiping the door hardware, cleaning the windows, etc., etc....the guy doesn't stop. The place is extremely clean. He's the reason my first impression, on my initial visit, was great and I continue to have the same great impression on each subsequent visit. The place offers a variety of washing machine capacities and two walls full of drying machines. There are plenty of folding tables and rolling laundry carts; plenty of chairs to sit; vending machines dispensing laundry supplies, drinks, and snacks; as well as a machine that will break your $20 bill into $5 bills and $5 bills into quarters. There is a gas station nearby - that many people have walked to, including me - that has an ATM available. The interior is very well lit and air conditioned. There are several sitting areas where people can enjoy the three large, television monitors. The main sitting area also provides a variety of magazines. There is a restroom available which Robert keeps extremely clean. There is also a stand-alone sink outside the restroom for washing hands, etc. The exterior of the building has a modern facade of light, sandstone colored stones. The lighted fixtures are also modern and provide very good lighting outside during the evening hours. Both combine to form a sense of a safe environment. There is plenty of parking and overflow parking is available next door or along the side street. Access to the laundromat is easy as it is located alongside Denton Highway...just pull in and pull out. In addition, concrete ramps make it easy to roll the laundry cart from the inside of the building directly to your car on the parking lot. Overall, this is an easily accessible, VERY clean and convenient place to wash and dry your clothes with many washing machine options in a safe and well cared for building. Highly recommend this to the general public. read more

I was so surprised! I've not been into a coin operated laundromat for over 30 years but the dog's bed needed an extra big machine. This place was new, exceptionally clean, had lots of machines (4 different size washers and two different size dryers). I needed help in sorting it all out and the owner (as well as three friendly customers) was there keeping the place extra clean and got me all fixed up. I know, I know.... THIS IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE... None-the-less, I needed help and it was there. They have vending machines with the necessary soaps and fabric softeners and etc. In addition they have vending machines for drinks and snacks too. There are two large screen TV's to keep you company too. If you need to do your own clothes, this is the place to go!! Oh, and they have security camera's there too, That's a nice touch. Although open until 10 PM, you need to put your last loads in not later than 8:30. They open M-F at 7 AM and on Saturday and Sunday at 6 AM. read more

Costs more per load than some other area laundromats. Hours are a bit more limited than some other places too. Went there largely for the advertised free wi-fi, which wasn't working. Parking is very limited and it fills up -- there have been times I couldn't park so ended up going some place else. On the plus side, it's very clean and the machines are newish and in good condition. Washing clothes is washing clothes and nothing can change that, but if aesthetics are the most important thing to you, you'll like this place. If you think you're going to be surrounded by a higher class of clientele, you're kidding yourself. A laundromat is a laundromat. read more

The owner at this establishment is completely rude and disrespectful. My husband actually stopped there to dry a load of towels because our dryer recently broke. The new will not be delivered until this coming week, anyway my husband didn't see the sign on the window because I guess if you are just drying you cant use his facility which is fine. He could have just said that and it would have been over, but instead he proceeded to say you look sneaky and defiant and take your business elsewhere. I want to say since moving here from Ohio in 2019 I have never seen such an arrogance about someone. But we need to remember how we treats others will come back 10 fold. Karma she may not hit tomorrow but she will and when she does it will hurt. Please use another facility there are other laundromats in the area that are welcoming and clean spend your money where it is wanted and appreciated Modern Wash in Watauga is clean and affordable! Shame on you!!! read more

When I worked on the road, I was in a lot of different laundry mats. I love them, so I feel my review is needed here. I've seen dirty laundries, machines full of sand, bathroom nasty, no one to help....blah blah blah. This place is the best laundromat I've ever been into! The machines are all front loaders, new, so I needed a little guidance. The attendant was my savior! He even recommended a larger machine to save some money! My machine at home is about to be fixed so I'm gonna go back there and wash just two loads because it was so enjoyable! I hope they take their time with my machine because this place was a wonderful experience! read more
