Blue star called me and gave me a quote for $360, he explained that most businesses use the camera recalibration as an excuse to up charge and that he wouldn't be disconnecting any wires when replacing my windshield. I was a bit skeptical at first, I was worried I would have to go get my camera recalibrated. (I have a 2022 Honda Accord). It's been 2 and a half weeks since I had it replaced and I've had no issues, camera still works just as good! A Guest Bath Window With Charm, Class & Privacy…read more When I was making my initial drawings for New Moroxico, for the downstairs guest bathroom I sketched out a classic Tudor style window above a clawfoot tub. It had the quintessential diamond pattern of leaded glass on a window that was set into a stone wall and split vertically -- with two panels capable of opening outward like a French door. It was important to me that the window be functional as well as beautiful, providing my guests with the option of bathing with an open window, looking out onto the delightful fountains and luscious gardens beyond, should they be so inclined. Knowing what I know now about the City of Dallas and all its building and energy codes and environmental stipulations, it still shocks me to be be able to tell you that this is EXACTLY what I ended up achieving!! In the end (and with very little visual compromise, I might add), a gorgeous, functional, energy code approved, diamond-patterned Tudor style window now exists in my new home, looming stunningly over a huge copper tub. Of course, the city would have never approved a real stained glass window made in the traditional way, which is why we had to apply the specialty glass over a "proper" modern window-- one with energy efficient glass. Why I'm mentioning all of this is because if you are like me and nervous that doing a stained glass window this way won't look very good or won't look authentic, I am here to tell you that Jeff McMaster with Standout Glass is a skilled craftsman who does such expert work that you have absolutely nothing to worry about. My window looks every bit as charming and classy as the leaded glass windows of homes in my neighborhood that were built in the 1930s, and I have yet to encounter a single person who has questioned my window's authenticity or had anything other than praise for the finished result. There were many aspects of building New Moroxico that were extremely challenging and frustrating; but this wasn't one of them. Jeff came in and did his work quickly and perfectly, and for this reason he is someone I would gladly use again and someone who I would highly recommend to others. We brought a salvaged cut glass insert from a disassembled entrance door to them and they stabilized the entire insert so that we could use it as a standalone insert for an interior door. They removed the outer and inner panes of glass and prepared the cut glass portion to be used for a passage door that would see a lot of traffic. That required that the glass be stable. They accomplished that by releading the panel. They were kind and more than professional. The price was worth every dollar for the service they provided. We could not more highly recommend them.

I reached out for a consultation and got a call back within about 10 minutes. The office team was incredibly friendly and flexible with scheduling. Our sales rep, John, was fantastic. He took the time to walk us through all our options, explain the installation process, and answer every question we had. Since this is such a big investment, we were nervous, but he made us feel confident in our decision (especially compared to Pella). Installation day went just as smoothly. The crew showed up right on time, was very respectful of our home (booties, cleaning as they worked), and did everything they could to minimize disruption. We have a cat, and they were so accommodating, working room by room so we could keep her calm and safe. Sky even brought her treats, which was such a thoughtful touch. They worked efficiently, were as quiet as possible, and cleaned up as much as you realistically can after a big job like this. Dallas Bath and Glass are fantastic…read more 2 years ago, in early 2023, a cleaning service broke one of the glass doors on our shower. We called Dallas Bath and Glass out and they gave us an estimate. The estimator was extremely thorough, and I was impressed with his knowledge and methods compared to competitors. Although their prices were fair (we had 3 estimates done), we had to wait because a short time later a storm did major damage to our roof. Although I decided they were the right company for the job, we had to put our resources to bear on the storm damage; fights with insurance delayed everything. Fast forward to 2025, and even though time had passed my initial impressions brought me back to calling Dallas Bath and Glass out again. The estimator came back out in mid-April and re-did all of the measurements - the original estimate was very similar to the new one and I didn't think there was some crazy gouging of the price or unjustified increases (I did my homework). The price was actually nearly the same. The problem is the door is not standard. It requires some custom work to be done; there is no off the shelf solution. We went ahead with the work. The new glass was built and installed in early June. I could not be happier with the way it came out. The installers were courteous, clean, and provided excellent workmanship. I also want to say that the entire time, communication was fantastic. I was kept informed about timing, and the day of, they were prompt and showed up when they said they would. Appt date was set and agreed to but he didn't show, we rescheduled the date then the day of he said his truck broke down on the highway en route, rescheduled again but never got a time so I followed up to have him commit to a time frame; I had to f/u several times and he said he was waiting for the manufacturerto make the glass (how was he going do the job the prior 3 times?). Rescheduled a fourth time and explained that if he couldn't do it I would need to be reunded. I guess he couldn't donit because he no called, no showed again. I had to constantly text, email, call to get updates ; even after he took accountability for his lack of communication he went right back to zero communication. Finally, we agreed to refund my money. I paid him via Zelle and to make it easier after the 4 request I sent a Zelle request to make it easy for him. I am 10 communications in with no refund. Last response from him states he was waiting for a check to clear the bank; that's was 9 days ago and I don't have a refund or an update. I'll wait for Mr. Rubio to dispute my review and post screenshot of all texts and add emails.
