My son has anodontia (he is missing his permanent fives). I came with a single request: to move the…read morefours and sixes together so there would be no gap and no need for implants. They said it was possible, the treatment would take 24 months, and the price was $6,500. After 13 months, they removed the braces and told us to go get implants. The problem remained as it was. Today we came to pick up a new retainer because the previous one broke after 7 months. We paid $150. They made a completely different retainer design. I said the fours and sixes would shift, please redo it. They said, "They won't shift." I asked them to write their professional opinion stating the teeth wouldn't shift . They refused, saying they don't give guarantees and wouldn't write anything. They want another $150 for a remake. Why should I pay again? This was the worst experience for my son and me.I do not recommend going there if your child has a complex case. If your child just has crooked teeth or a bite issue, they will do a good job. It would have been better if the doctor had honestly said they couldn't move the teeth together. Terrible customer service. Also, parking is always full, which is very inconvenient.

NEGATIVE Experience: Dr. Kholov is a very rude and arrogant individual. NO communication. He…read moredoes what HE wants- and will not even allow you to ask a question. His commitment and concern for the patient registers at a ZERO. I completely regret my decision to allow this man to provide orthodontic care for my children. PLEASE!! Do not engage. Every time we sat in the waiting room we witnessed another disappointed patient or parent.... EVERY single time. And some of the stories were a lot worse than mine. We eventually just left and finished our ortho-care at a different location.

I had one of the worst experiences as a delivery driver with this clinic. They placed a massive…read moreorder--15 combos and 5 large 7kg bags (totaling 35kg). Despite the challenge, I managed to bring everything inside the mall with great difficulty, even calling a friend for help. I went above and beyond to ensure the order was delivered properly. But then, the customer, name Derek L initially set a $12 tip, only to reduce it to $0 after delivery**--a completely disrespectful and exploitative move It's disgraceful to see people devalue hard work like this. If you can't respect the effort of service workers, you shouldn't be placing such demanding orders in the first place. To the **owner of this clinic**, if you care about fairness, **teach your staff to respect workers instead of mistreating them**. This kind of behavior is unacceptable.

The wire breaks from anything! Like just brushing my teeth etc. Also the bottom wire makes it difficult to speak sometimes as it cuts my tongue and always causes sores. I thought that once I get my braces off it'll be done with this! But that's really not the case. It's either a bad quality wire permanently glued to your teeth or a removable retainer for the rest of your life.... not sure if it's worth it for over 6 thousand already.

I don't share the other reviewer's glowing comments. The longest Dr. Sky spent with me was during…read morethe initial new patient consultation. The plan, as per the initial consult and numerous e-mails back and forth prior to treatment, was to close a gap due to a missing molar. I paid $7,000 up front. I learned from personal experience that Dr. Sky takes a hands off approach to her patients. During my treatment, Dr. Sky was rarely in the office. The number of times I saw her, which I could probably count on one hand, was mainly for a few minutes before she rushed off. The work was performed by the dental hygienists or the resident dentist and Dr. Sky was not in the office to review their work. The one and only time she reviewed the hygienist's work was for the initial placement of the brackets. It was up to me to repeatedly communicate what the goal of treatment was because the staff didn't seem to know. Today, my front bottom teeth have gaps, where none existed before treatment. I have severe localized gum recession on one of the lower front teeth due to orthodontic forces and carelessness on the part of the hygienist. This one poor tooth was pulled and prodded with excessive force when removing a bracket and on a subsequent visit, when an archwire was placed. During this visit, I thought I was going to pass out from the pain. When I finally had enough and cried out that my lower front teeth were being pulled, the hygienist calmly replied: "I'm not pulling, I'm pushing!" She continued to apply enough force to partially detach the root from the tooth----this was confirmed to me by a periodontist. The pain I suffered and endured for weeks on end from this horrific event was unbelievable! Why a TAD was not considered or placed to close the gap for the missing tooth is anyone's guess. After a year and a half of treatment, the gap that was supposed to be closed is still wide open. I am worse off today than when I started. I now face very expensive gum flap or pinhole surgery, deep cleaning and regular periodontal visits. As a patient and a mom, would I bring my children to be treated by Dr. Sky Naslenas at Royal York Orthodontic Studio? Never!
