(If you want the short version of this Peter Pomazon was unprofessional and demonstrated no empathy to the CONSISTENT pain, I told him I was in FOR TWO WEEKS after HE operated on my mouth TWO separate times! In The 10 plus years that I've went to Dent 1st at several different locations I have never received such awful treatment
I had an infection and I was crying to Pomazon the dentist), Fran (dental hygienist) and Tanya or Tana (Front desk receptionist) and nobody offered to prescribe antibiotics nor pain medication until TWO weeks and TWO separate dental surgeries later.) I will never go to the Kennesaw location again!
Initially when I found Peter Pomazon I thought he was great despite a few warning signs:
1) During my first visit a month ago the receptionist Dana was coughing continuously while checking me in (during a Coronavirus scare nonetheless) and nobody at the front desk nor in the back batted an eye. However initially she was lovely and so was everyone else, so I brushed it off.
2) During my appointments, Pomazon and the Fran would confide to me about "how much whining and complaining their other clients did" Pomazon and Fran also complained about their co-workers while they were operating on me as well.
At first Fran, the dental hygienist told me that I would be saving money by buying over the counter medication and I thought to myself great because I'm a broke college student whose work hours have been affected due the Coronavirus. However, I wasted $40 by buying the medicine they suggested that DID NOT WORK!
They gave me very specific instructions on how to take the over the counter medication. I FOLLOWED THEIR INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY. I was fine with until after a couple of days and the pain came full force no matter what I did!
4) I'm a person who has a high tolerance of pain, so I gritted my teeth and waited it out to see if Fran and Pomazon's over the counter medicine instructions worked. I waited the pain out until my appointment to get my fillings the next week. I told Fran and Pomazon I was in pain and after 30 minutes of back and forth and a pure disinterest/unwillingness to help me, they prescribed me Tylenol with Codeine. However, I told them that I did not want any nighttime medication because I needed to go to work and I need to be able to stay awake to do my college studies as well. The nighttime only medication was really an inconvenience for me because I needed medication to stop the ongoing torturous pain I experienced during the day. However, Pomazon continued to ignore my desperate pleas for help.
ALSO, HE STILL DID NOT PRESCRIBE ME ANTIBIOTICS AFTER THE SECOND APPOINTMENT for my fillings!!!
5) The night I got my fillings and I took the Tylenol 3 and I still kept waking up in the middle of the night in pain (NOT TO MENTION THAT THE PAIN NEVER WENT AWAY DURING THE DAY).
I gritted my teeth and bore it out because of how much of a hassle it was to get the Tylenol 3. I felt like I was such an inconvenience and that I didn't matter to them. I didn't have the mental capacity nor the strength to push through my toothache to call them and have them argue with me about why I should just "suck it up".
The second night after my fillings I could physically not take the pain anymore. I called the receptionist Tana the second day after my fillings crying telling her I could not take this pain and that the instructions that Pomazon and Fran gave me were not working. After I continuously told Tanya that EVERY suggestion, she gave I had already tried (she was telling me nothing that Pomazon and Fran hadn't told me already) I just gave up. I was crying in pain the whole phone conversation and Tanya nor ANYONE in the dentist office cared.
6) So, at this point, it was two weeks after I got my tooth removed and three days after I got my fillings in. It was my 3rd time alerting multiple people at Dent First in Kennesaw that I was in pain without anything getting done. No antibiotics for the tooth that had an Abscess. No antibiotics the second time I went in and I told him I was still in pain. No compassion. No anything.
At one point during my continuous back and forth with Pomazon about how much pain I was in, it spontaneously occurred too Pomazon to ask me about antibiotics. I then had to alert him that he never prescribed any antibiotics. (By the way, even he was completely shocked by his own malpractice). Then when I questioned him as to why I was never prescribed the antibiotics he made up some baloney excuse about how I never told him I was in pain therefore he never prescribed antibiotics to me.
At that point embarrassingly I had to call my mom again because she processes claims for dental offices, and she knows the proper protocols. My mom got Tanya to call me the next day and got me an appointment within 30 minutes. This 3rd and final appointment was when I knew I could NO LONGER continue to receive service after being disregarded by everyone again read more
