I, like most people, detested going to the dentist. I hated the ill-fitting, torturous chair, the sound of the drill and its smell, but the thing that haunted me most was the manner in which they treated me; in which they made me feel. I was nothing more than a tooth on their assembly line--independent of emotion; seen primarily as a body part. For most of my life, I did my best to avoid this humiliating experience. Then, the unimaginable happened. On December 21, 1999, I was involved in a near fatal accident. One that left me brain damaged. Because of my Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) I had to re-learn a whole set of cognitive functions most people take for granted. These include: reading, writing, bathing, dressing oneself, and somewhere in these wrinkles of time came refreshing my memory on how to brush and take care of my teeth. I didn't have a job or money to my name, so I qualified to receive care at a health center where dental coverage was included. Finally my teeth would be attended to. Or so I thought. Years passed like running water, and I couldn't understand why they getting worse not better?? Why was it always my fault? Why did they have to re-do the same filling seven times? Why did they extract my teeth at will? I got tired of being shamed for my situation, so I recently went off looking for something better. After a couple of missteps, where I ran into some 'Nazi' dentists more interested in lining their pockets than in procuring what is best for their patients, I entered the enclave that is Dente. Nervous at first--I didn't know what to expect nor did I hold out much hope. Yet, here in this space there was a different kind of feeling. I couldn't quite place a finger on it till I realized that Dr. Anette was really listening to what I had to say. She was interested in my backstory, in what brought me there, in me. She asked questions and went as far as to show compassion. Imagine that, the words dentist and compassion in the same sentence. Dr. Anette examined me. Rather than telling me how decrepit my mouth was, she assured me that she could work on them. After all, she proclaimed to be a dentist and that meant she was in the job of saving teeth; of making people smile from within. But it was more than that. Her excitement to restore my mouth dazzled me. It was infectious. So, the first installment of my reconstruction has been placed and I'm happy to report her gift as a dentist is not only impeccable, but flawless matching her always happy, energetic state of being. If I had to encapsulate Dr. Anette in one word, I would call her human. A human who cares deeply for the lives of her patients and who guides her staff to do the same. From the moment I stepped into Dente, I became aware that it was a team effort. Her assistants, other dentists, and receptionists have been nothing but patient, helpful, and kind. I, by all means, recommend Dente as the top choice for your dental protection. WHAT a GREAT dentist facility! From the costumer service of the staff to the professionalism of the doctors, I did my research for a dentist in the area of Miami and came to read not just the reviews but everything about the facility. Let's be honest, going to a dentist can be a bit frightening. However, they can make you feel so comfortable and at ease with everything. From the moment I walked in to the very departure. You can feel the warm home feeling of their staff from the very beginning. My hygienist, Indira, was so sweet, nice, and a professional. She made me feel so comfortable and she would talk to me softly as she was cleaning my teeth. Which, it helped me not to think about what was going on, such a very friendly person. Then, when I got to be seen by Dr. Bentancor, It was outstanding! She understands people. She connects and try to make them feel right at home (NOT Kidding guys). She isn't trying to make a buck out of you. She really wants the best for you and tells you what are the options and able to work with you. Such a lovely and professional doc, I tell ya! I felt so great able to talk to her because she understands and talks to you in a way you just get it. Then, I met Dr. Lopez. He also did some work on me on my second visit. Super awesome dude... He was so caring and making sure I wasn't in any type of discomfort. He made sure I was at ease by talking to me, and he was very gentle at doing his job. Who likes to go to the dentist? It's not common to say this. Now I do! From the first time you enter Dente Miami, it feels like a different kind of dentist office. Dr. Anette Betancor and her staff are very welcoming and friendly. They are very conscious of minimizing wait times, which is very rare in any doctor's office. As soon as the doctor greets you, she makes you feel at ease that she will take care of you. You can feel her positive energy and passion for helping people. My previous dentist had somewhat downplayed my concern about a sensitivity on one side of the mouth and a complaint about constant pain I had with an old crown on the other side of the mouth. Dr. Betancor listened to my concerns and literally took this to heart. It felt like I was talking to friend who wanted to help. She diagnosed both my concerns and made me feel extremely comfortable during the procedures. What really surprised me was her gentle hands. I felt minimal discomfort all the time, including when she was injecting anesthesia (NO PAIN!) to numb the areas. My dental health has found a new home. I'm amazed by how much excellent work Dr. Anette Betancor and her team have accomplished for me already; the quality, care, speed and price of her work are all head and shoulders above any other dentist, orthodontist or oral surgeon I've ever seen, and I've seen them all. In four visits I had a cleaning, consultation, several residual roots and teeth removed on both sides of my mouth and complex resin fillings done. She came in under her own reasonable quotes and has improved my overall health and wellness. Think about that; she does a better job than the other 'guys' in every way that counts. I'd say you couldn't buy that, but you can! I have more work to be done to restore my smile after years of neglect after years of horrible experiences. She's turned that all around. I still have a root canal and implants and bridges to go and expect to be posting more about the experience. Pretty much the full gauntlet of basic to complex dentistry. I avoid the dentist at all cost, it's the last thing I worry about... which shouldn't be!!! Lots of pain And infection led me back to the Dentist. I went To Dente Complete Dentistry. From the minute I walked in till the time I left, the friendliness, professionalism, the calmness that comes out of everyone's pores is evident. Dr. Jose Vazquez treated me... his inviting smile is contagious so right away it settles you... he is very knowledgeable, caring, and has a soft hand!!! I FELT NOTHING! He was quick and super compassionate with me! He restored my trust in Dentist again. I look forward to my visits because I actually can relax on the chair even doze off for a few minute. For as long as I can remember I have been terrified of the dentist, so when I came here I was so afraid, but WOW. Dr. Betancor is the sweetest, most patient, funny and amazing dentist I have ever gone to. She takes the time to explain to me what she's doing, and makes sure I am relaxed and calm before she does anything. Visiting Dr. Betancor is the best dental office experience I've ever had. It turned out I needed several procedures but it has been such a pleasant experience, I really forget that I'm supposed to dread it! I had to have 3 fillings done and I am not kidding when I say I did not feel any pain at all. Dr. Betancor has the lightest touch and is so aware of your comfort levels it really has not been traumatic at all. Dr Betancor is the best dentist in Miami. She is caring and very professional. I went to her office with an toothache and was worry about having my tooth pulled. Her staff was very friendly. The best part is that they do not make you wait forever to be seen like other offices. The dentist explained everything well to me and gave me options to keep the tooth or have it pulled. What a great experience! Everyone at the office was very kind and friendly. They run on time, so I didn't have a wait for my appointment. The office is a bit small, but it's more cozy than cramped. The office is also very clean. I'm always a bit nervous to see the dentist, but Dr. Betancor quickly put me at ease. She took her time talking to me and explaining the results of my oral exam. Went back today for my cleaning the new hygienist and doctor made me feel super comfortable and sent me out the door happy. I tried to make an update to my other review but it was deleted on my update. Originally i went in and got a wisdom tooth removed which was effortless and painless. A new Feeling for sure but now I have a tooth for the fairy... Also what i like most about the treatment was the laser-ing of my gums. After that my gums went from red to pink. read more

Dente has given my smile back!!! I had old gray crowns in my front teeth and now I can freely smile knowing that my porcelain white teeth are gorgeous.
