First, let me say the dentist did a good job. No problems in that area. The problems started with…read morethe office's draconian policies. You have to cancel an appointment A WEEK IN ADVANCE or they charge you! Who knows a week ahead of time if something is going to come up that would make you cancel an appointment? Plus they make you pay a deposit when you make an appointment and you have to prepay BEFORE the appointment starts. I've never heard of that. So, you can see where their priorities lies. I went in for an assessment and received a lengthy treatment plan. I made an appointment and it wasn't until a few days later I thought maybe they were planning to do all the work at once. I called to ask and yes, it was the case. That was too much work at once for me so I arranged to get just a few procedures at my next appointment. I wasn't given an amount I was expected to pay at the appointment. I checked the treatment plan and determined the copays would be covered by my flexcard for Medicare so was not prepared for a large expenditure. I went in for the appointment and the person at the desk was quite rude. I went to the desk and waited for her to acknowledge me but she didn't so I said my name, waited again and she didn't say anything. So I started to go and sit down. Then she said something about signing some papers so I turned around and went back to the desk. Apparently, I was supposed to pay $1200 that day before my appointment to prepay on crowns for root canals I was getting which I had not expected. As I hadn't prepared for that amount, I was taken aback and what was going through my head in that split second was what's the best way to pay this for me financially? Will they charge me a fee if I cancel? Will I lose my deposit? What cards do I have on me? Do I have time to do a transfer from savings to checking? Should I take money from my 401k? In my haste I thought I could use my flexcard and put the rest on the only credit card I had with me that would cover it, which I didn't really want to as it had a high balance already. I also have pretty rough physical issues that make just going somewhere a major chore so I didn't want to have to come back. So, I try 3 times to put my flexcard through their machine and each time it didn't work. Finally, the girl spoke up and said the last customer's card didn't work either. It wasn't till much later that I realized she probably wasn't pressing the right buttons. It was completely their fault as I checked later and the card was fine. So, I ended up putting the entire amount on my credit card. It was a lengthy procedure with alot of novacaine involved and wasn't till the next day that I felt better and thought I probably should have used another card I had that had no interest for 6 months so I called to see if they would switch my bill to the other card. Guess what? They refused. They said they paid a fee for me to use my card and they weren't going to pay a second fee. When I suggested they call the credit card company and try to get the fee waived they brushed me off. And, she said, "Well, you signed these papers" like I was disputing the amount and I thought that very rude. She also made some other rude comments. So, now, I'm stuck paying almost 30% interest every month for God knows how long until I pay off the entire balance on my card and my minimum payment has doubled. I had to go back to get my crowns but that's it. They mysteriously weren't able to take my flexcard plus sprung this large bill on me and wouldn't do anything to make it right. I'm done with them.

Terrible! Do not even try to book an appointment with them. We waited 6 months for cleaning…read moreappointments for the kids and they canceled less than 24 hours before. Said next available appts weren't for 6 more months. They were rude and unprofessional. Do not even try.

If there's one thing I get a lot of compliments on, it's my straight teeth and my smile - and I owe…read moremy awesome grin entirely to Good Orthodontics. I had to come in here for regular visits for years (I definitely remember coming here as far back as middle school) as we corrected a poor bite and crooked teeth in an overcrowded mouth. My poor parents paid more than I want to know to get my pearly whites fixed up. But man, it was worth it. These guys definitely did an amazing job with my teeth! As far back as I can remember the staff here have been awesome, friendly, and worked as quickly as they could to help everyone who's come in for an appointment. And that great staff is super important, because without them getting your teeth poked and prodded and painfully adjusted over time could have been an extremely miserable experience. But as painful as some of my orthodontic memories are, I can definitely say I never dreaded going to an appointment, so seriously, kudos to the staff! Also, kudos to them for dealing with me, because even if I never dreaded an appointment I definitely came in a couple times feeling super cranky because of the pain involved with my treatments. I'm sure little me acted badly at one point or another, but they don't hold it against me. :) They don't slack on maintaining their lobby and building, either. Honestly the place looks as pristine as it did when they moved into their current location. Their office is bright, clean, and filled with a mix of cartoons, art sketches and Pittsburgh photography - it's an eclectic mix but it works. As of late they finally ditched the office arcade game but I guess if everyone has a cell phone now there's not as big a need to provide something for the kids to do while they wait for their appointments. So seriously, if anyone deserves 5 stars, it's this place. They work hard and every fellow patient I've met has great results to show for it. Thanks for the great smile, guys!

Look at my profile picture…read more I've got a GREAT SMILE, don't I? That's not genetics, it's the work of Drs. Good. I had a severe underbite, extra teeth, snaggle tooth, scurvy...you name it, my mouth had it. (kidding about the scurvy). I was 10 years old when I first saw Dr. Good, and my teeth were CRAZY. Let me also mention that when I was 10 years old I was one pretty difficult kid who refused to listen to anything the orthodontists or my parents had to say, was difficult to treat, fought everything they did literally tooth and nail. Drs. Good are patient, kind, understanding, and because my treatment took a very long time (bc my teeth were JACKED UP), developed a relationship with my family. Really all I have to say is look at my profile picture. That smile? All Drs Good. Seriously. Best orthodontists in town. Great with children! How would I know? Well, I would know. I once kicked at Dr. Good and then attempted to get up and flee the chair. I really did not want my braces adjusted. Then there was the time Dr. Good said, "So you like Jolly Ranchers..." Me: "How do you know?" Dr. Good, pulls the back bracket off my molar, which has a huge chunk of Jolly Rancher stuck to it. They are GREAT with kids. And they do fantastic work. If I recall they had reasonable hours, we used to go in before school sometimes. I cannot more highly recommend them. Still in doubt? Check out that smile in my profile pictures. Were it not for Drs Good my teeth literally would be sideways. For real.
