Tyoko B.

I have been coming to this office for over a year now and, hands down, Dr. Runco and his staff are the best. I feel welcomed from the moment I walk in the door and the office is always clean, bright and cheerful. Let's face it, no one usually gets super excited to visit the dentist but I highly recommend Pittsburgh Dental Spa if you want a relaxing experience and a dentist who actually cares.

It's just a waterfall... No big deal.

I have been a client at Dental works for 15 years. I have never missed an appointment until 2 weeks…read moreago (I am a healthcare worker and something came up). I was called that afternoon and we rescheduled for 2 weeks later. I went to my appointment, had x rays, and a cleaning. (No dentist was in the office). When i got home I received a bill for $35 for a missed appointment. When I called, this is their policy? I do have dental insurance and I am waiting to receive my statement. I feel confident i will be charged for an examination, x rays, and cleaning, again no dentist was in the office. There is a new $10 charge for PPE?? What did they change? The staff has always worn a mask, face shield, gown and gloves. Another way to gouge the patient or insurance. I have been a faithful client and the dentists have come and gone for various reasons, I will never go back there. In these unprecedented times you would expect better customer service.

I am very disappointed with the way this clinic operates. It is shocking that this situation is…read morestill allowed to continue without any action being taken. The clinic does not appear to have a doctor on-site. Instead, a few staff members schedule appointments, and when you arrive, they simply look into your mouth, take notes, and say they will discuss everything with a doctor who is supposedly visiting the following week. After that, there is no follow-up. Even if you call, the only response you receive is that they will call you back -- but they never do. Meanwhile, they charge hundreds of dollars to your insurance or send bills directly to you and aggressively follow up on payments, despite not providing proper treatment. This practice feels misleading and unprofessional. Patients deserve transparency, qualified care, and honest billing practices -- none of which I experienced here.

I called to schedule a root canal, and my appointment with Dr. Feuer was made for the next day. I…read morewas so relieved they could get me in that soon because I was in a lot of pain. I gave my insurance information over the phone when I made the appointment, and the receptionist called me back later that day to tell me the cost of the procedure that was covered by my insurance and how much I would be expected to pay - that clarity on price was much appreciated. From the moment I walked in on appointment day, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and the dental assistant made to feel comfortable and confident about my procedure. The root canal took only about an hour, and it was completely painless. Dr. Feuer showed me my before/after X-rays and graciously answered all the questions I had. Would recommend this dental practice! Bonus: 3RE offers free, covered parking

I do not recommend…read more Clinical staff was outstanding except for poor coordination and explanation of costs. I'll explain below. Office staff was condescending and made smirks at me when I told them I didn't understand the costs and that they would require full payment upon leaving. I didn't have $3200 on me at the time. I went I for evaluation and then two root canals, if necessary. Prior to arrival, the office emailed me the cost for one root canal. That was the last treatment plan I saw. Here's what should have happened. My bad also for allowing it. Once the exam was complete, a revised treatment plan should have been prepared and reviewed with me for consent prior to treatment. That did not happen. Again, my bad for allowing it. I gave consent without a valid treatment plan. That's the process I'm used to and should have insisted. If they are part of your insurance network, go for it with caution. If they are out of network, find a practice that is. I felt 2nd class at this facility. Shameful!
