I was having a temp. bridge installed and was waiting on DR. Abraham Asturia to start. During this time I felt the effects of my blood sugar dropping. I have a CGM and it read 58. Not good! I went to the front desk and asked for some candy to help raise it. I was back in my seat and the effects were getting worse and then Bonnie (Practice Administrator) and Dr A. showed up and took charge. They retested me and it showed 38 which is in the life threatening range. Bonnie had the office supply of glucose gel and administered it to me. While waiting for the glucose to work, one of the Team went to the store and bought some food items/drinks to help. Eventually it returned to normal and we continued with the bridge work. I will be forever thankful for the immediate action they took in restoring me to a healthy range. It seemed like everyone in the office was assisting, but I only remember a few. Bonnie - thank you for your leadership and quick action. Dr Astoria for remaining level headed and monitoring my issue. Nakia, my dental assistant who helped Bonnie restore my glucose to normal levels and the ladies at the front desk who quickly alerted the staff of my problem and administered the first treatment - 2 Hershey kisses. I told the girl at checkout, it was the worst experience I've ever had. She told Sherry who never came out to speak to me, never asked what happened or why. The next day I wanted this addressed and she told me she blamed me for not going through the employee area and walk into her office to get her attention. During this talk, she still never asked what happened just said she was busy. She did not "manage" the situation or try to fix it, she was just tried to gaslight and bully me into thinking it was my fault. Terrible. Sorry Dr. Tran, as long as she's there, we will not be.

I know it's not the best way, but the improvement in my mouth health has never been this good since I started swishing all that sugar out of my mouth. They treat you like a real person, and they listen. When I gave them my nitrous number, they said "Ok, let's try it and see how it goes." In my early sixties I had a terrible experience with a tooth extraction at a "clinic" that was part of a chain. It took three visits to get the tooth removed and I was unable to be numbed completely. I got up my nerve and started asking about dentist recommendation and Dr. Harper's name came up often. Dr. Harper was recommended to me by a woman I worked out with at the gym. She also had fear of going to the dentist until she started going to Dr. Harper. I have been going to Dr. Harper for many years now. He has filled teeth, put on crowns and referred me out when I had root canals and needed a tooth implant. I now have no fear of the dentist. Dr. Harper is kind, respectful and skillful to the point of having an artist for my teeth! Recently I decided to get veneers since my teeth were thin and grey looking from age. The process was not difficult. I had very little sensitivity during the temp stage and once the final product was placed there was no sensitivity. The entire staff at Dr. Harpers are warm, friendly and out for your best interest just like Dr. Harper. I wish there was a 10 star category because that is what I give Dr. Harper!!

I made two appointments one for myself & the other for my partner. - both new patients under the…read moresame insurance company with the same coverage. Spoke with Jennifer regarding both my partner and i's insurance on more then one occasion. my partner had gotten x-rays from a previous dentist in July 2024, we were told by Jennifer he just needed to bring in his previous x-rays or he would be charged for new ones taken by this dentist (on special for $99) but NO OTHER CHARGES, the ultimate choice was his; either bring the x-rays or pay for new ones. My appointment went fine, got my x-rays, checked out and all that good stuff came back for a consultation for Invisalign, not so much: insurance stopped coverage on invisalign if you are over 19, the suggestion that was made to me besides a payment plan which is hard to get approved for - doctor suggested veneers as a ''cheaper'' alternative. i also waited over an hour in the lobby for a 10 minute consultation. i'm not sure how $5,000-$6,000 for vaneers is cheaper then the $5,400 for invisalign, but ok! He comes in today (03/13/2026) and it was a MASSIVE clusterfuck. The front desk was unprofessional for starters. Then he finds out that he is being charged $100 regardless of him having the x-rays right in his hand. No one seemed to know what was going on. Eventually, i step in over the phone explaining my conversations with Jennifer (he had already explained this to them.) and they tell me that his x-rays are too old and they need to take new ones and because it was a paper copy they could not see the apex of his teeth. We were never informed that there were ''requirements'' to him bringing in his x-rays. Jennifer told us that insurance covers x-rays are covered every five years and we have someone else saying every 3. Not sure of her name, but she stated they would not charge him and do the x-rays anyways (obviously due to both of us being frustrated and telling them what we were told and simply just needing to be able to create a care plan for him). He goes into the back and waits 15 minutes for a doctor to just simply come look at him and tell him a few things with no understandable explanation as to why these things need to be done. he was supposed to get a cleaning, did not happen. he was supposed to get x-rays, did not happen. but he did get a referral to get his teeth pulled! () when he confronted the issue of being told he was going to get x-rays and a cleaning he was told the people to do the cleanings were not there and that the referral he got would do the x-rays instead. Needless to say, left an extremely sour taste in both of our mouths and we will not coming back. He was also told by one of the receptionist that he ''could pay or....'' indicating he needed to leave. This entire process took over an hour of his day for him to get none of what he needed. We also filled out new patient paperwork the night before from what they have linked on their website and when he arrived they said they had none of his information and had him refill out the forms.
