Having had several PCs in the past, I was not looking forward to the afternoon's visit. However, once I arrived, my worries were gone. My technician was extremely pleasant and kept me appraised of everything that was going on. And Dr Hari who did the root canal had the softest touch. While I still do not like getting Root Canals, if I need another one, I would not hesitate to contact this office for an appointment.

She and her assistant worked great together in a very, very, tough situation. Dr. Brown solved, several issues, on the spot as they arose. Thanks Dr. Brown if you read this.

Was referred to this endodontist by my dentist due to an abcess. Like the other reviewer, was told…read morethe earliest they could get me in was in over three (3) weeks. And that was only for their required "consult" first. They refused to schedule me for a working appointment even though my dentist had done a zillion images. They would not schedule me until having that "consult." Absolutely no sense of urgency here. I had an abcess many years ago and it throbbed and my face blew up and I needed help then, not a month later. And the place I had found then (another state) resolved it in one appointment. This place obviously cares more for something other than the patient. From Medical News Today: "a person who does not receive prompt treatment is at risk of developing ...complications... Best team EVER. Don't waste your time with other dentists like I did. The office has REAL…read moresedation through Nitrous for any procedure, and if you're like me, that's a requirement. I was allowed to watch on a big screen as Dr. Harper examined my teeth on my first visit! It sounded scary to see up close, but it was really neat! He is the most gentle dentist, and thoughtful. He doesn't hurt you at all. Other dentists have shamed me for crying, even yelled at me as a kid. He fixed a temp tooth sitting on an implant that an Oral Surgeon put on too tight. It was put in so badly by the other doctor, it broke and loosened the real tooth next to it. Dr. Harper recemented it and shaved it down to fit properly no charge, after my cleaning. The hygenist is really nice, and patient as well. People who are afraid of the dentist should def. go here. Everyone from front desk, to the back team are friendly and make you feel welcome, when other dentists treat you like you don't know your own mouth, or that you're an annoyance for being afraid. They completely understand at OcalaSmiles. I drink a lot of soda, like lots of people, and every office I've been to it's "Just stop drinking soda all together"... and left it at that. Of course, I love my soda and didn't stop. By the time I found Dr. Harper, the soda had done damage. Instead of shaming me, or trying to browbeat me into quitting soda, I was given an explanation of HOW soda works and work arounds to prevent more issues. Now, I drink my soda through a straw and swish with water many times a day after having a pop. I know it's not the best way, but the improvement in my mouth health has never been this good since I started swishing all that sugar out of my mouth. They treat you like a real person, and they listen. When I gave them my nitrous number, they said "Ok, let's try it and see how it goes." They made me feel SO comfortable, that I didn't want as much nitrous on my second visit. I'll NEVER be a patient elsewhere. After avoiding the dentist for a decade, Dr. Harper has changed that.

I am 68 years old and have had a lot of dental work over the years. Some of my experiences were…read moregood and some not so good but I always took care of my dental health. In my early sixties I had a terrible experience with a tooth extraction at a "clinic" that was part of a chain. It took three visits to get the tooth removed and I was unable to be numbed completely. I was so traumatized I didn't want to get my teeth cleaned for fear of getting in the dentist chair again. I got up my nerve and started asking about dentist recommendation and Dr. Harper's name came up often. Dr. Harper was recommended to me by a woman I worked out with at the gym. She also had fear of going to the dentist until she started going to Dr. Harper. I have been going to Dr. Harper for many years now. He has filled teeth, put on crowns and referred me out when I had root canals and needed a tooth implant. I now have no fear of the dentist. Dr. Harper is kind, respectful and skillful to the point of having an artist for my teeth! Recently I decided to get veneers since my teeth were thin and grey looking from age. The process was not difficult. I had very little sensitivity during the temp stage and once the final product was placed there was no sensitivity. The entire staff at Dr. Harpers are warm, friendly and out for your best interest just like Dr. Harper. I wish there was a 10 star category because that is what I give Dr. Harper!!

They wanted $6K to pull and put in a fake tooth when the tooth was fine. Very hard sale tactics. I had a cyst in my gum, nothing wrong with the tooth. These people are crooks and liars. Stay far away. Note their Yelp rating is 1.9. Bad organizations have ratings in the 3's. The endodontist told me they are known as shady operators.

I said i need this tooth out it is killing me and they had me back in 72 hours later. when i walked in they greeted me by name and no sooner than me sitting in the lobby, cause i 30 mins early, they had me in the chair prepped and ready. The dentist was friendly and gave a true air of concern for me. I was numbed up at least 6 times and never not once did i ever feel the needle. My teeth are primitive and so "rooted" deeply into my jawline, that it took twice as long as normal to get the job done. The thing was, I felt like it didnt matter, I know I was holding him up from getting to others. But he made me feel like I was his only patient and that it really was about doing it right, not doing it rushed. I know, just in how I was treated , that if ever I need dental service, they will be the place I will go.
