At first it was fine--the office was easy to find, parking was plentiful, and the office itself was clean and well-decorated. The hygienists took x-rays with no issue. Everything else after that was not good. After getting a quick inspection from Dr. Saeed, it was determined that I had a very small cavity, and that I could get it filled that day. I agreed to this. The assistants then brought out the paperwork with how much I would need to pay. For a routine dental cleaning and small cavity, I was expected to pay $200 (for an in-network provider). I questioned why this was, and they were unable to provide a good explanation. Just that sometimes, the insurance covers less than you would expect. I was not happy about this, but I went through with the procedure. Later, Dr. Saeed came in to clean my teeth. I noticed some really bad pain in one of my teeth and asked him to stop. At this point, with the shock of the payment amount and the random sudden pain in my tooth, I was crying. Dr. Saeed was extremely condescending and dismissive of my concerns. He said "he was only doing what was involved with a normal cleaning" and that "he could not continue if I was making him feel guilty like this." He did not even bother to look into why I was having pain. I told him multiple times that I have never had issues with the dentist before, and he kept dismissing me, saying that "no one likes the dentist." At this point, I just wanted to get out of there. I let him finish the cleaning despite the pain and left. I did not have my cavity filled. (The following week, I went to another dentist. I told him about the pain I felt at my cleaning, and he looked into it and found that a previous filling I had done was not done well, and that the uneven bottom of it was putting pressure on that tooth and causing a sort of "pulled ligament" sensation in the root of my tooth. He filed down that filling a bit and I have been feeling better since. Also, that "tiny cavity" Dr. Saeed found was actually more medium-sized and took longer than 5 minutes to fix. Oh, and I paid only $75 for both of these issues.) Furthermore, when I recently called about the insurance claim for my appointment, the assistants were very rude and, again, dismissive. I told them that I needed to submit proof of my appointment to my company for an insurance discount, but that I wasn't seeing the appointment at all on my Claims Portal. The assistant cut me off while I was talking and said "Well, I see it has been submitted on my end, so I don't know what to tell you." So rude! I was just calling with a very normal question! Some other issues with my appointment: wait time and forms. The whole cleaning--which usually should take half an hour--took two hours at Cera Dentistry. I was waiting in that patient chair for so long. They would come in to tell me something, and then leave and not come back for 20 minutes. This happened multiple times. I also had to sign so many liability/consent forms, which I almost never do at other dentists. Overall, I absolutely do not recommend this practice. I found Dr. Saeed and his hygienists/assistants to be rude, dismissive, and condescending. I find it fishy that there are only 5 star reviews for this place.
