At that time, the dentist filed one of my teeth, and filled another tooth where the filling cracked and came out.  On this last visit, I was supposed to have a cleaning. I saw the dentist. He performed the cleaning, and then informed me that I needed 3 fillings, or I could come back later for them. I'd already been to this dentist twice in a two month period. I drove an hour to see this dentist, because I had a positive experience the first time. I didn't want to drive another two hours here and back for another visit, so I had them complete the 3 fillings while I was there.  I was billed $1335 when I was in the office. I was shocked. I have never had a dental bill until I started coming to this practice. My insurance has covered all cleanings and fillings. I asked the office staff why it was so high and she said that the bill was correct and that was my total for the day.  It's been almost two weeks since my visit. I let the office know I was still in pain from my visit; my teeth have hurt since my last dentist visit at their office. Before I went there, I was not in any pain. When I informed them I was still in pain from my visit, the office staff yelled at me and said "We didn't work on that tooth!" When in fact, I informed her the right side of my mouth has been in pain, since I was in the office and it has been very difficult for me to eat on that side. I waited to see if it was going to get better, but it hasn't. I would not recommend this office at all.

HORRENDOUS!!!!!!! The man named Dr. D who works alongside Seema and is responsible for my temporary…read more(and presumably permanent) crowns is nothing short of DEMONIC. This DEMON is shockingly unprofessional, brash, and outright aggressive. The temporary crowns he installed are not only excruciatingly painful but are also an eyesore--several shades darker and yellower than the rest of my teeth. To make matters worse, the work is a complete disaster: glue and cement were sloppily smeared across surrounding teeth, left to fester in the crevices like a botched art project by someone who clearly has no business in dentistry. The temporary crowns did not even last an entire week before falling off! Even worse, I was NEVER informed what this procedure Seema demanded I undergo for a tiny hairline crack on one tooth entailed. This butcher SHAVED DOWN both of my front teeth into miniature stubs without informing me this is what she planned to do. I NEVER agreed or would have agreed to this procedure had I been informed what it entailed or was. The man she had do it, DR. D, was extremely rough and violent with me thrashing my head and neck around to the point I am in severe pain and deeply emotionally traumatized a week later. I will be reporting both of them and this practice to the New York State Office of Professional Discipline if I am not refunded the $600 I was charged as a down payment. I do not trust this woman or her co-dentist anywhere near my mouth. I regret letting her destroy my teeth, my health, and my sanity. Not to mention, when I informed her that her poorly made and applied temporary crowns fell off, she made no effort to put them back in despite it being a dental emergency. My gums? Still bleeding, still throbbing in pain, thanks to his gross incompetence. I can't fathom how Seema and this clown of a technician "Dr. D" are not drowning in shame, attaching their names to work so shockingly substandard it borders on malpractice. The fact that anyone could walk away from this level of botched work without feeling mortified is beyond comprehension. I will never allow these crooks near my mouth again, and I urge anyone who values their health and sanity to steer far, far away from this dental circus. If this is the kind of "care" you can expect, it's no wonder they've mastered the art of driving patients away.

Unfortunately, we found out during the…read moreprocedure that my body doesn't take well to the local anesthesia and so I began to feel pain and had to be re-numbed multiple times. I believe my situation was rare however, if you know this about yourself beforehand then I would highly suggest that you schedule yourself to be fully sedated. Even with the constant disruption my situation caused, Dr. Andrey never once got impatient or frustrated. He made sure I was as comfortable as circumstance would allow while he finished the procedure. The assistant working alongside him during my operation was excellent as well, as she was able to see when I was uncomfortable and adjusted things immediately. Together they were a great team. My recovery has been a little rough, as I have experienced major pain and swelling. I believe this has been due to the infection I was already fighting before the surgery and the extra injections I had to have. Even so, the after-care this office has provided has been excellent. They checked on me the day after surgery, and have sent extra prescriptions as needed, even on a Sunday. The temporary teeth are way too large so I have been unable to fully close my mouth or chew anything, but they informed me that this set was a stand-in purely for a short 2 week recovery period immediately after surgery, and not the one I'll have in for months before the final bridge. All in all, I am pleased with this team and the location. Every concern and question of ours has been answered. This is a LOT of money to spend, and you want to make sure that you are getting the best service for what you're paying. Although I am not fully done, I have complete faith in Dr. Andrey and his team.

Like many reviewers have wrote, the wait times has been increasing this is regardless if you come early, on time, or late. We have all been on occasion done so for any appointments, myself included. However, what is bizarre is sometimes the miscommunications at this office. Don't get me wrong, Dr. Sakhaee is pretty good. But I think and this is just me, if you schedule an appointment with a specific doctor, hygienist or whomever. If that medical professional isn't at the office, wouldn't you give the patient a courtesy heads up? Would you go to a substitute gynecologist if the person you have been going to for years isn't available on the day of your appointment? Would you trust your car to any mechanic? I would argue that the mouth/teeth is one of the most intimate areas where if you do find a doctor and/or hygienist that you have gone to and known for years. You would shutter trusting it to anyone else. And the two other times where I rolled the dice was as expected. Once was with a recent dental graduate (OUCH!) and the other was also less than stellar. My most recent roll of the dice I had to explain that due to previous experiences with poor hygienists, I now have PTSD from it and only book with my hygienist that I trust. I couldn't afford to reschedule so yet again I rolled the dice. This shouldn't be how coming in for teeth cleaning be where you book weeks, months in advance. But the fault here isn't the doctor nor the hygienist who wasn't available at the day of your appointment. The fault here is where the receptionists which seems to change guard every so often for one reason or another fail to let patients know ahead of time. Twice I had to reschedule until I couldn't because like most/all of us. We have work commitments or other commitments that needs attending too. And for that reason, now I'm forced to have to call in before my future appointments just to make sure my hygienist is indeed working that day. A lot of reviewers also mentioned overbooking slots. This happens in any industry including the airline industry. That is purely a business move and I am happy to see this practice thriving. I just feel that improvements should be made accordingly to the influx of more and more business. The waiting area while it is small, it was never meant to fit 15 people. It has always been that size. Though the waiting area may be exasperated by the overbooking of slots. Sometimes that can't be helped and you wouldn't want a lesser experience when you go to the dentist so rushing patients in and out isn't the answer here either not only for safety's sake. For now and for the past few years, I'd say Dr. Sakhaee's practice is still among some of the better ones in Queens and definitely around this neighborhood. I just hope improvements and tweaks for the better comes sooner rather than later...
