My son went there two days ago just for a cleaning and a fill in and came out with a horrible mouth infection. I have came here for years with my older son and sorry to say but it's gone done very fast and bad. Sad to say but please look into another place to go.

I have been coming here for over a year. I was sent here by a referral from my friend who's son suffered damage from a baseball injury. The staff had always helped me out and fit my son's in their schedule. As well as myself and family. They performed a couple of minor repairs due to a previous dentist that was a higher end professional missed that caused me to come here. They treated his tooth he had to get a minor root canal but all is good. They work around my schedule and the kids like to play in the game room. I read the previous comments and see that the issues are more neglect with parents rather than a issue from walking. I would recommend this place I have gone to high end. .corporate many dentists they all do the same thing its who you feel confidante and comfortable with.

This is my before picture when the male dentist chipped my front teeth. He did it at an angle as you can see

If you're not familiar with the area, you should definitely leave early. I was slightly late due to this very issue. I was greeted warmly, but there seemed to be more questions about insurance. All insurance information had been taken care of. There was a continuous theme: money. They were already charging me for the x-ray but wanted my insurance so they could bill the insurance and reimburse me if the insurance covered it. The problem is, I would never know.......... The staff didn't seem knowledgeable or trustworthy. After paying for the cost of the 3D x-ray, she didn't verify my email address and sent my receipt to the wrong email address. I had to ask for an itemized bill because the receipt was only for the transaction and not what I paid for. The most interesting part, the visit only took 20 minutes total. Oh, and there was nothing wrong. The doctor and nurse practitioner seem fine. The doctor explained the issue but gave me nothing about what he explained. Did I mention, the expensive x-ray, they absolutely needed to diagnose my potential issue, I never saw it. I left feeling ripped off. I will never comeback here..........

I was surprised to be feeling pain in the tooth in July, 2015, so I returned to see him again July 30th, 2015. He seemed aggravated that I thought it was that tooth and said it was not that tooth, it was probably another. He did not offer to scan it or investigate it any further. I have been dealing with the pain for a very long time thinking this must be normal, this was my first root canal. I finally decided to see another endodontist last week, out of the network, because I needed someone who I could trust, who was a referral from someone I knew. To my shock, the new Endodontist explained that it is that tooth causing the pain. There was an infection from the root and has spread to my sinus and has destroyed the bone. I understand that this happens and that they sometimes Endodontists do not get all the pulp out and this can be the result; however, to be dismissed in 2015 from Daniel Janowski, without further investigation caused it to get to the point that now it requires a Apicoectomy. When I called Daniel Janowski about this, it took him a week to return my call. I called him four times during that week. I explained the timeline and what occurred. He asked what I wanted him to do about it and I explained that he should probably cover the costs since this was a result of his decision making. He chose to hang up on me instead of trying to resolve this or explain how this could have happened. I have never met a more unprofessional person in the dental industry. I realize that this is not worth an attorney taking a case like this; however, I feel the public should know. Thank you.

I had to wait almost an hour past my appointment time, but the doctor himself came out and apologized and explained he ran into some trouble with the current patient and assured me that if I needed extra time and attention he would show me the same courtesy. Wow! Well, that's all he had to say. Of course if I was the one in the chair I would hope he wouldn't rush through just to get to the next patient. When it was my turn, he began commenting on what gorgeous long roots I have and how that means good things and blah blah blah and I might have more pain after. Okay, that's weird, but I love it when people love their profession so much they get geeky about it. He gave me various pills and instructions and I left. It was a Saturday afternoon. About two hours later I was in tears, and I decided to call just in case this wasn't normal, because it wasn't really what he described would happen. No answer so I left a voicemail. He immediately called back to say he was actually leaving for the day when he heard the phone ring so he checked the message and called back! Truly a stand up teeth man. He explained that the pain was due to the long roots tangling with my sinuses and gave further instructions to help the pain and symptoms to watch out for. I was fine by the next day. I felt he was extremely competent, professional, and helpful. I hope I don't have to go back, but I'll know I'm in good hands if I do.

Recently, I tried a dentist near my house but ended up paying hundreds out of pocket (with insurance!!) in Brookfield, definitely ripped off - so I switched back to Ditola's office in Melrose Park. I've never had a problem with them over charging me or my insurance. The staff has never done any extra services, without asking me first. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Yes, I've waited 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time.... But I've also been seen right away; it just depends on the time you schedule your appointment?? I suppose this place might overbook, since it's always packed but Ditola's team does great work. My cleanings are superb, cavity fillings are not painful, X-Rays are not uncomfortable, my teeth feel great and look nice... I've never had any problems after coming here. I am pleased with this place and will continue making appointments every 6 months. I'm not too fond of the location since I moved away, but after trying 3 other Dentists over the years, I am happiest with Ditola.. Also, this is a bilingual dental office which is a plus for the area.

I went to Oakbrook Endodontic yesterday to see what could be done. They took a number of X-rays of the problem tooth & decided it was worth saving. Thank God The last thing I want to do is be a toothless wonder. Dr Penesis does an awesome job. He explained what need to be done to salvage the tooth and proceeded with the root canal after reviewing the x-rays. He's very through and has very good people skills. They anesthetized the area & proceeded with the work. They put a rubber block in my mouth to hold it open in the position needed to perform the work laid the chair back and proceeded. I was so relaxed as Dr Penesis and his assistant worked on my mouth I fell asleep. When I woke up they were finished. Talk about streamlined no muss, no fuss and viola completed.
