After hearing the rave reviews and how much she is sought after south of the border as the number one dentist to see in Baja Mexico. I had recently had problems with my top front bridge so I called Veronica. She answered immediately, friendly and very concerned about my problem quickly made time for on her calendar for me at my soonest convenience. Once upon arriving she quickly assessed the problem and corrected it. Jumping right in she extracted the problem tooth, drilled grinded and prepped the area for a new 6 piece bridge. I ll be honest I was quite worried that perhaps the new bridge might fit right and or also not match the other existing teeth. No it was perfect! not only that I had some other questionable work done here in san Diego by so called dentist and she was able to sculpt and reshape the teeth that have bothered me for so long. I thought I would try a five star rated dentist in Tecate, Mexico. After reading all the reviews, I made an appointment with A&R Dental Care. First, it's just over the border (A very short walk). The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The office has all the latest equipment like 3Dscanners. The doctor was very knowledgeable, polite and informative. He did two fillings and a crown for a very reasonable price. The savings were "substantial." Well worth the hour plus drive. I really can not say enough positive remarks about A&R Dental Care.

My local regular dentist is also a highly trained cosmetic dentist and he has said what good work they do. He would not say that if it wasn't true. I have never had any problem with the work done. Like another reviewer stated, the offices are spotless. They are not fancy but have all the needed equipment. Not all the staff speak English well or at all but all the dentists do and a lot of the other staff does too. I went there because I almost fell on the floor when the oral surgeon my regular dentist referred me to told me what "my portion" of the bill would be after insurance and We have good insurance. One of my clients had shortly before reccomended Adame to me. He had gone there for years for all his dental work. He was a salty old sea dog who would not put up with anything from nobody so his word ranked high with me. I was amazed with how much less expensive it was. The implant in 2013 cost me $1,650 before a refund from my insurance of $575. "My" portion at the US Oral Surgeon would have been $4,000. Hello! You just provide them with the forms from your insurance company and they will fill them in and then you submit it yourself. Every time I go, the small waiting room is filled. Largely by Americans. That should tell you something. They are also only 4 blocks from the border so you can park on this side and walk over which I reccomend. There is only street parking where they are located and it isn't plentiful.

I got top of the line zirconium crowns, with great color matching, and she even drove with me to TJ to the lab that made them to save me another trip. Park your car for $5 and walk across, they will pick you up and take you back. I liked the dentist, Maria del Refugio Fraga Ibarra. DDS. She is gentle and caring. They even saw me at 5 pm on a Saturday. Gastron Castro, DDS is the specialist who did the root canal part of it. His English was excellent. All dental work was satisfactory and if you are lucky you might get a head and neck massage. Cons: Doc Maria doesn't speak much English, she will have an interpreter, if its her husband he tries to up sell, just say no and all is well. His English is mediocre, but her other interpreter's English is pretty good. I'd go back for regular dental work; speaking Spanish would have helped in talking about the more complicated options with her. Get the estimate in writing to avoid negotiation. Since the specialist travels between dental offices sometimes you might have to wait, bring a book! Remember it's a different country and things move a little slower. All three chairs are in the same room so no privacy, but its like that in most dentist offices in Mexico I've found. Its just different from what Americans are used to, but I have no issues with the dental work.

Elite kept me well informed and even recommended me an amazing oral surgeon when I was having trouble finding one that worked with my insurance. The office is clean and has a section for all your braces needs like wax, floss, toothbrushes, etc. there are also three sinks where you can brush and floss before getting your braces tightened. Every visit felt efficient and fast. The techs who tightened my braces were always professional and gentle. Special shoutout to Ashley who always was so friendly anytime she tightened my braces. I saw both Dr Ehsani and Dr Sabet and they were both phenomenal throughout my treatment before and after surgery. The front desk was always responsive and answered all my silly questions via text message. I can't stress how friendly everyone is in the office!!
