Like another reviewer stated, the offices are spotless. They are not fancy but have all the needed equipment. Not all the staff speak English well or at all but all the dentists do and a lot of the other staff does too. I went there because I almost fell on the floor when the oral surgeon my regular dentist referred me to told me what "my portion" of the bill would be after insurance and We have good insurance. One of my clients had shortly before reccomended Adame to me. He had gone there for years for all his dental work. He was a salty old sea dog who would not put up with anything from nobody so his word ranked high with me. I was amazed with how much less expensive it was. The implant in 2013 cost me $1,650 before a refund from my insurance of $575. "My" portion at the US Oral Surgeon would have been $4,000. Hello! You just provide them with the forms from your insurance company and they will fill them in and then you submit it yourself. Every time I go, the small waiting room is filled. Largely by Americans. That should tell you something. They are also only 4 blocks from the border so you can park on this side and walk over which I reccomend. There is only street parking where they are located and it isn't plentiful.

I found it worth flying down here to have work done vs paying dental insurance and getting huge bills every time in the USA. Dr. Martinez is a fantastic dentist and his assistant/hygienist Leslie is excellent as well. The office manager is amazing at translating everything for me because I speak very minimal Spanish. They said it was supposed to last 7-10 years, and possibly up to 20 years! I am a physician with 40 years practice experience, and I have to say this dental group is one of the most incompetent and unethical I've ever experienced... Stick with US quality and care. Two years ago, I traveled to Tijuana to Liberty Dental. They charged me $275 for a PFM (porcelain fused to metal) crown, which required making two trips across the border. Upon my return trip for the fitting, the crown they first made was not even close to the color of the rest of my teeth! They appeared to not know have a clue what they were doing. So they had me leave, to try to re-color the crown, which required spending most of the day in Mexico. But after coming back at the end of the day, it was still not a color match! I didn't want to return again to Mexico, so I just accepted it as-is. After paying $70 for a week's Mexican auto insurance, and $15 for two "discounted" medical passes back across the border (which still required about an hour wait), the total fee was $375 for this extremely poor job. So after I contacted Liberty Dental one week ago, and told them that my crown broke after two years, I asked them if I could somehow get discount on a superior quality crown. I didn't trust getting a replacement PFM crown again -- which required two more trips to Mexico, and another $70 for a week's auto insurance, more time off work, and a tremendous hassel. Their usual charge for a zircon crown - which can be made same day - is $450 to $550 per their website. They said the best deal they could give me, however, was $400. I was dumfounded! I told them, I've already spent $375 two years ago for a crown that broke - and it was covered under a 2 year warranty. But now they wanted to ask for $400 more from me? This would bring my total cost to $375 + $400 + $50 for a day's Mexican auto insurance. I said is it fair that I would have to spend $825 total to receive a quality crown from them? I said no thanks, I'll accept the $375 loss! Just for comparison, I found a good dentist who will make a zircon crown for $800 in San Diego. So I suggest stay far away from this inept "dental" group. Their incompetence is even made worse by their lack of any ethical and caring business practices!

The only thing I would say is, give yourself a few buffer days if you are traveling for dental work. They had some issue with their lab on one of my trips and I needed to extend it by a day. That's ok though! Also it would be very useful to have Global Entry when you cross the border since the line coming back can be VERY long. Wished I had it on my 2 trips down there. They pick you up right at the border crossing and the whole process is easy and everyone is very friendly. I had a woman dentist doing my teeth and I can't remember her name but I do remember the level of care I received, she made sure I was comfortable the whole time and checked in with me over and over to make sure I wasn't feeling any pain. Honestly the best dental experience I've ever had. They also checked in with me about my healing multiple times and addressed any concerns I had right away. Everything healed really nicely though.

I was given 4 Front Teeth Crowns, giving the Dentist valuable information about my dental history including the fact all 4 front teeth were FRAGILE because of a previous accident and all 4 having root canals. The first incident was when she was working on my teeth (shaving them down) her husband barged into the room and spoke to her right while I was under the table. So unprofessional!! He then starts openly harassing her asking how much longer and that he had the car waiting. She immediately started rushing and did a horrible job putting in my teeth temporary covers "temporary crown" that was made from a mold of my natural teeth before she shaved them down. The mold was jagged and painful to my teeth and gums for several days but I endured because they were only temporary until my crowns would be put in. The second Incident was when she was doing my X-rays she did not offer me the Lead cover to protect my thyroid from the X-Ray Gamma Rays. It was only provided the cover the following appointment when I asked for it. The third incident occurred when she was taking off my temporary Crown Cover (mind you this thing is all one mold) She once again seemed like she was in a hurry and rushed to take it off and in the process Snapped off a large chunk of my natural Tooth!! Also these things are already tiny since that is how they are prepped for Crowns. I felt the pressure and extreme discomfort from her mutilating my tooth and her response was ohh I bet your gums hurt that's normal. I immediately protested that my tooth WAS NOT CHIPPED BEFORE! To which she immediately starts change the subject and put my Crowns on to try. When I see these crowns I almost burst into tears of RAGE. They looked like pieces of square gum from the store. All one color completely not natural, and a florescent White. Again I begin protesting that this was NOT what I asked for that these were horrible. I also told her I had a flight to catch and wasn't sure this could be fixed in time. She assured me it could be! And she proceeded to fix the "little channel" she made on my tooth NO YOU SNAPPED PART OF MY TOOTH OFF CALL IT WHAT IT IS!! And once again a fake mold was placed on my teeth in the interim. She assured me the crowns would be fixed and sent them back to the lab. 2 hours later the crowns were back!' Fourth Incident. Similar to the third once again... what is the point of the molds? To protect the teeth right!? THEN TELL ME WHY ALL OF MY TEETH WERE CRACKED THIS TIME!!! At this point I was fed up and just wanted my crowns on and to not miss my flight that would cost me over $700 in Airfare and personal costs if I missed it. Fifth incident I agree to the crowns being better because I was convinced that turning the light overhead on would make them "look worse than they are" THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MY FIRST RED FLAG when she didn't want to turn that light on. I got them cemented out of anxiety and frustration. What other options did I have at this point!?! Get another fake mold and lose the 10% of my teeth I have left? I got the crowns on and told her there was gapping behind my Most left tooth my tongue could feel, she just said she's polish it but it wasn't fixed I can still feel the gapping. I also told her my teeth feel tight and uncomfortable. She said it was normal and would go away. It has not gone away my teeth that should have no feeling HURT!' So crowns are CEMENTED. I asked to use the bathroom at this point where I turned on the Circle Vanity Mirror. My heart immediately sank when I saw my new teeth were significantly different than my natural Teeth. Still looking awful although improved. At this point I was DONE. I was defeated and so genuinely AFRAID. I was scared for what was left of my teeth and decided to accept the consequences of my actions. The outside of the building was enough to tell me this place was not good! I didn't listen to my gut! Please don't make the same mistake. I vowed I wouldn't let these horrendous people touch my teeth even again and left in tears after paying in full for my treatment. I will be finding a new dentist to fix the horrible job they did on my teeth. Please pray for me. I need it.
