Me and my grandmother had decided to go to denny's for breakfast this morning. this was our first mistake. when we got there, we waited at least 10 minutes just for them to take our drink order. we then waited 30 minutes for our food to even arrive. Vernon BC location. Service was ok but no coffee refills a not much enthusiasm. Single Waffle was over toasted and probably from Costco. Meh kind of experience. Been to better Denny's Restaurants. Coffee was better than most Denny's locations. read more

Denny's was so accommodating of our team during our Vernon tournament! great lunch and we were able to use the meeting room downstairs for a team meeting. Breakfast in the morning was delicious but it was a bit slow coming out and we were in a hurry. read more

This is how Denny's treats wildfire evacuees without insurance. The manager complained to our family that "Denny's loses money servicing you evacuees!". We left and went without breakfast for the week. We were not the only ones, we met several other evacuees that said they were made to feel like beggars when trying to use their vouchers. BC Emergency services volunteers said they had had many complaints about Denny's from evacuees. Evacuees without insurance who have email, online banking and their BC services card receive $53/day via e-transfers into their bank account, to spend anywhere. Only people without one of those items receive the vouchers, my BC services card was lost in the fire. read more

It's a Denny's - it's the same from San Diego to Alaska, from Seattle to Miami. ANd even in Canada. It's a Denny's. Our server, Josh, had awesome tattoos. The food was decent - not overpriced - and I tried a peanut butter shake (meh) and some fried pancake balls (delicious!). My main dish was an omelet that I created myself (ordered myself) and was yummy. Go, me! The group was tired, hungry, and Denny's was open... are there other reasons people go to Denny's other than "That's what's open." ??? Anywho... good... not great. But what did you expect. Just enjoyed a quick lunch in Vernon at Denny's with my three year old son. We were originally going to just walk down the road and see what was around but it was noon, he was hungry and this was a short walk from our hotel so we decided to stop in for a quick bite to eat while on vacation. He had the chicken nuggets and I had the pot roast melt which was actually quite delicious. The restaurant and bathroom were both clean. The service was friendly and efficient. Absolutely gross. I had the featured pancakes of the month. The pancakes are huge and fluffy ( so if you are looking for quantity, not quality...), the special sauce to pour over them was just a runny marmalade. The pancakes themselves tasted like a bisquik mix. A fake food taste. Yuck. I'll never be back. read more

This place is probably my favourite breakfast place ever! Me and my family go here all the time and when we do we make sure to bring looneys and tooneys to tip. They have great service and they are fast with the food! There bathroom is really clean and there food is always hot! Good for breakfast only. Six of us went after a show to have a snack. One couple ordered a coffee and a tea. That was okay. The other couple ordered 2 milk shakes and we ordered a hot chocolate and apple pie. First I'll start with the other couples order. The waitress bought everything and just put it all at my wifes spot and expected her to pass it out. The other couple only got one shake and when she complained where hers was, the waitress said, "Well, it's thick enough, there's probably enough there for both of you". NO, get me my own please, we ordered two. So she made another one. Our apple pie didn't look like apple pie, looked like someone dropped it on the floor and scooped it back up. The bottom crust was raw dough. My wife called them over and asked for another one. If they are all raw, just skip it. They got my attention when they kept looking back at us when they were getting the pie. It was all raw so they didn't scoop all the way to the bottom crust. It was fine as we had no raw dough. They popped it into the microwave and forgot about it. Later the manager walked past the microwave and realized he had forgotten about it and opened it and stuck his finger into it to see if it was still warm. YUCK. It wasn't so he re nuked it. He had just come from handling money at the register. We will never come back he for a late snack. Breakfast maybe but will think hard after this. read more

I mean the food is good but it can be very dirty inside and outside. Often there has been puke near the entrance and the fact that they serve drunks all night and morning long is kind of gross. The place is always busy and has good food with a large menu. The chefs sometimes don't look very clean either. read more

Worst service ever me and my family are regulars and just worst customer service ever the food had no flavour it was bland my dad ordered banana cream pancakes and when we got our food that's when they said they didn't have the banana cream pancakes and his bacon was soggy and not cooked it's USUALLY crispy and by the time he was done his food that's when the brought it and the country fried steak had no flavour absolutely it was so bland the over-easy eggs were no flavour the hash browns were undercooked and no flavour the toast was soggy no idea how do you mess up toast it's the easiest thing to make it was soft and the butter was disgusting the food tasted like it was taken out of the trash and recooked and served again this is not the first time this has happened and after 20 years my family has stopped going there. read more

I had no idea Denny's was open 24/7 until recently, so that made me happy. I came here twice with my sister in the middle of the night. I ordered the Zesty Nachos. However, I was concerned about the sauce, which said they had spicy peppers right in it. I asked the waitress if there's any way I could not get the peppers added, she told me it's already made right into the sauce. Instead, I had them put the sauce on the side while I tried it out. As it turns out, they remade it without adding the peppers :) My only complaint is how long I had to wait for the food, but I suppose it wasn't that bad for 3am. read more

So not impressed with the service we received at this Denny's in Vernon, BC. Dear management, or franchise owner, if you read your reviews at all, please be advised you have one server there who is treating your customers like crap and chasing business away. I didn't get a name however our party was there on April 14, around 5 pm. The culprit was a plain looking female, blonde hair, medium height and medium build. The only thing that stood out about her was the extra large ego and hostile, passive aggressive attitude. I sincerely hope you can identify the individual however and kick her to the curb where she belongs. Seriously, I have never experienced such awful service before, especially not at a family restaurant and definitely not at a Denny's. It started from the moment we walked in the door, too. One in our party didn't see the sign asking patrons to please wait to be seated, so she went ahead and this server literally barked at her for it. No please or thank-you, just a back in line, do as I say attitude. Then, while we were waiting to be seated, and discussing whether or not we preferred a booth or table, she actually interrupted to tell us where we'd be sitting and to follow her. There was no greeting, no welcome, or how are you, zero manners whatsoever. All of this happened in front of other staff and waiting customers I might add. And from there it just got even worse. She brought us water with barely any ice, in dirty looking, chipped glasses, served our food lukewarm, didn't check on us for at least 10 minutes after, didn't offer us any refills on our drinks or check if we wanted anything else from the menu. We would have ordered dessert too had we not been made to feel so unwelcome, but decided instead to just get out of there. We had to flag her down however just to get the check and to bring a take-out box. She ruined our dinner to say the least. I regret that we left even the small tip that we did. Someone like that, who is so clearly miserable and incompetent, needs to be working alone, scrubbing out toilets, not dealing with the public in the hospitality industry. read more

Let me start off with saying that my mom worked in this store when it first opened 20+ years ago and never had a problem. Until tonight. After our experience tonight, we will never return. First, your servers have no clue what's even on the menu. My fiancée saw on the dessert menu that you offered Coca-Cola floats. When the server came to take our order, she said that she couldn't do that because it was no longer in the computer system. As far as I'm concerned, if it's on the menu, your staff should be able to figure out how to make it. We even had the manager come over to again explain to us that for some unknown reason it wasn't possible for them to make a float. Even though they had an ample supply of coca cola and ice cream. Needless to say, he didn't get the float. Fast forward 15 min when we get the food we ordered. My brother ordered the classic omelette and right away noticed an off taste. My mother had a bite and had the same off taste in her mouth. The bacon used to make the omelette was rancid and you could clearly tell the mushrooms had been sitting out too long as they were wrinkled and black on the edges. My mother had asked for a side of plain tortilla chips with pico de gallo and they brought her a very large nacho portion of chips and a tiny bowl of pico. I had ordered a lava cake which was COOKED all the way through. Not a lava cake by any means. When she brought us the bill, the only thing the manager had taken off was my over-cooked lava cake, didn't offer to do anything about my brother's rotten food and charged my mom over $9 for a bowl of chips. The manager on didn't apologize for anything and simply said "that's the way it is." I have spread the word about the rotten food all over town and will be calling Interior Health 's food safety inspector first thing Monday morning. No one should serve rotten food, it's against foodsafe violation and BC law. read more

this dennys used to be really good but i went in today and the host was very rude. she was not friendly and had attitude as soon as we walked in. i understand working in the food business is stressful when busy but atleast fake it and try to be a nice welcoming person maybe. our server was super sweet though which was appreciated. both our orders were wrong and the service was kind of just bad. everything was super hectic & all i reccomend is that they get in order and be prepared for morning rushes and busy hours. read more
