stopped at denny's for breakfast. waited about 1 minutes to be seated and watched party of four in front us leave, tired of waiting. we were finsally seated in a booth. this restaurant is in pretty bad shape and needs a makeover in the worst way. the vinyl seats are ripped and the walls are dirty in places. a saturday morning and only one server was on duty. i asked if they were shortstaffed and she said no, just that she was the only one scheduled. we did see a fellow from yhe kitchen area delivering some plates. she was responsible for seating diners, taking their orders, delivering their food, checking to see if anything else was needed, bussing tables and checking diners out at the register. she did it with a smile although she was being run ragged. our breakfasts were delivered likewarm at best and were cold halfway through. cold eggs,,,,,yuck! when we went to check out there was a gentleman behind the register. feeling bad for our server i asked who madeout the schedule and told him our lukewarm meals and how overworked the dear lady was. he told me he did. i told him to do better and he said if people call out there is nothing he could do. we didn't believe him. we believe our server was the only one scheduled. do better denny's. read more

First time trying a Denver omelet here and it tasted Sweet. I didn't really like it. I used salt and pepper and Tabasco. I think it was the Cheese? Overall everyone else enjoyed their food. Just the Omelet was weird. And it smelled like Urine. lol read more

A group of us came here for lunch after last minute shopping at JC Penney nearby, prior too a formal event. Our server was Toni and she took good care of our table. I had a sandwich and although it was good it should not have left the kitchen because the bread was not toasted but burnt. We were in a bit of a hurry so I just ate it. I had a wonderful experience at Denny's largely due to our exceptional server and the service that was provided. Me and my best friend walked in and immediately were seated at a spot. Our waitress Laura came over immediately and handled our drink orders. Not only was Laura able to time our refills perfectly everytime, she also let us know about the specials and helped us pick the perfect meals. She helped us navigate the menu and find a few extra options I wouldn't have known about if she hadn't let us know about them. Our food came out perfect, and Laura even helped us get out the door faster than average cause we let her know we had somewhere to be! All in all Laura was a 12/10 server and solidified this Denny's as my go to spot now. Thank you Laura and we'll see you again soon!! read more

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Yesterday we got there around 8:30ish pm. There was no one else in the restaurant. We ordered Cinnamon Sugar Pancake Puppies. It was burnt. Told the waitress to take the food back & take it off the bill. The manager was giving the waitress sh*t telling her she should not take the puppies off the bill but instead to have it remade. We also ordered Brisket-It-All Melt. The brisket looked dry & it was missing the eggs. They took it back & the manager brought out the food but this time there was a hair on it. It wasn't the waitress hair cuz her hair was black & the hair was blonde/light brown. At that point we told them we were done. They took the melt off the bill & gave us 15% off the bill. They claimed they had a cook in training. If you can't even handle 3 orders in an empty restaurant this is not the job for you. The waitress was super nice & apologetic. Staff was nice. I ordered the steak and eggs with pancakes. Pancakes, good, 2 scrambled eggs, good. The T Bone steak was full of gristle and I probably was able to eat 1/4 of it. So for $20 I got 2 eggs and pancakes. I did not know a steak of any kind could be that incredibly bad. Did not expect the best by any means, but you could not even cut the meat. Dinner on 7/15/23 there was only 2 other tables occupied and they had received their food already. Review is not about wait staff they were perfect. Eggs were floating in rancid old grease same as hash browns. I could not even eat the food, so still hungry we ordered strawberry hush puppies to go got home one bite of the hush puppies and they tasted like fish. You can't fry a desert in the same oil you use for fish. We eat here often when we come into town later than 8 pm. This cook needs training or replacing. It will definitely take some time before we return. I hope things get better. I don't normally write reviews but this was so bad I felt a manager should be informed. read more

Ok, here it goes. Decided to come here on 4th July around 10 PM. It was busy. One Server.. and kitchen guys were helping take orders, get drinks, deliver food. The drinks came out pretty much as soon as we ordered them and the food was out in 15-20 minutes.. are you kidding me, on a holiday when they were barely staffed.. you guys all had wonderful attitudes and made our impromptu trip to get food late, wonderful! read more

I waited for 10 minutes just to be seated there was 3 tables being waited on. Seriously 3 tables and you cannot seat a person? Then a young kid came over said, "Only one." Yes, OK hold on and walked away went and talk to some girl, and he came back and said someone will be with you shortly. WHY DID HE EVEN BOTHER TO HELP ME???? I went in tonight 3/19-20/2021and asked for no mushrooms as I am allergic and a salad with thousand island. They brought my meal and salad together and gave me Ranch instead of what I asked for. The meal had mushrooms, so they had to remake the meal. Well that took another 15 minutes. it took me 10 minutes just to wave the waitress down to get me the correct Dressing. The Service was at a snails pace. Multiple times I had to wave down or yell to ANYONE that was staff to refill my Tea and I leave my empty glass sitting at the edge of the table so they can see that the Cup is empty. Then I went up to cash out nobody came after waiting 5 minutes so I told the two girls sitting waiting if they ask where I am let them know I went to the lady's room. I came back out and asked them did anyone come over? Nope!!!!! I then sat down and waited another 10 minutes just to be cashed out and they only came over because I complained. Ever since Anastasia left it is like customer service has gone down hill. I love diners. There isn't much open as far as diners go here in Show Low. Denny's definitely filled that void for us! We stopped in around 7pm. I been to a lot of Denny's and this one was by far the cleanest and neatest in a while! Friendly staff that all seemed to really jive well with each other. Place had a noticeable positive vibe in there. I ordered the Bourbon Burger with fries. It was delicious! Monster of a burger with sautéed mushrooms and peppers. The fries were absolutely perfect! Every one of them! I'm a big fry guy and these guys nailed it. My wife got the Country Fried Steak and it was perfect as well. She loved it. Gravy to steak ratio was spot on! That's important. The food was pretty good and average Denny's fare for breakfast. Very crowded for a weekday lunch, not an empty seat in the place so get here early. Absolutely the worst Denny's we have ever visited. The meal was inedible, everyone working there admitted that the kitchen was having serious problems. The manager said the best he could do was a 10% discount on food that was uncooked, and still frozen on the inside. We simply couldn't eat it. We waited more than half an hour and they still couldn't make the replacement. This is the most mismanaged restaurant of any kind we ever visited. The cashier admitted that everyone was complaining that day. The people behind us also had to pay for a meal that couldn't be eaten. Denny's corporate office seriously needs to provide some oversight at this location, it's a blight on the Denny's brand. If you are serving food that none of your customers can eat maybe it's time to close the kitchen, and fix the problem, before the Board of Health does it for you. Shameful operation. We were there 1-19-19 at 3:00pm. We will never go there again. BTW, I have almost never left a bad review but this was horrific. read more

I have been going to this Dennys for over 10 years now and it has always been just average, you know a typical chain restaurant. Today however was the best service and food quality we have ever had! This Denny's has been updated since the last time I have been there. So the feeling is "like new". The food is ok. Not my favorite place to go but it is affordable and it's open everyday all day. The service was good and prompt. We came for lunch and had the pick two combo for and that includes your choice of soup or salad, side of fries and a choice of sandwiches. They always have something new here so it's cool to see what's new this time around. I was easily surprised, impressed how Denny's has done it! Most Denny's is either hit or miss. My wife and I went twice this week. The staff was very friendly and treated us like we've been going there for years. Our last visit was great. Normally I don't care for lemon automatically put in my tea and they actually asked my preference. That was a huge shocker. We sat near the kitchen and got to listen to the staff. They all seemed happy and enjoying their work. One is a Mystery Science 3000 fan and I am as well. OK on with the food. It was great! My wife had a beef stew and I had the spaghetti and meatballs. Both were top notch. Great size portion. Taste and quality were as good as a big dollar restaurant. I also liked that my iced tea never went empty. I kept getting refills without having to ask. The previous stop was good as well. Looking at some of the reviews, they must have improved. I noticed that they survey now which means that they are listening to their feedback and got better. Initially there was an issue with door dash and being able to get through on the phone to the restaurant. However, today, Denny's got in contact with me and made arrangements to fix the issue with my previous orders. Jessie was of great help. Fixed everything wrong and made it right, in a very above and beyond way. Really, did great and listened to what I had to say. Remained polite and calm through the entire ordeal. Would not even accept a tip for delivery. My recommendation is to just pick up your food if you have the option. Do not rely on doordash at this point in time, as there is a difference in how they run things, versus how Denny's handles them. If there is an issue with your order, it takes a lot of hoop jumping to fix, if you use doordash through the restaurants own website. Pick up will be less of a headache for everyone involved. read more
