Definitely 0 stars, this place is not worth waiting an hour for a party of 2 when I can physically see 15+ open tables and booths. Instead, the counter girl says they can no longer sit people and they are not sure when. You should not be taking names saying it is a 10-15 minute wait when we've been here an hour. Where do i even start ? So i came to this establishment after having a joyful day but let me tell you after going here my day was completely ruined I may cry for the rest of the night. Not only were there flies flying around everywhere there was poop on the toilet seat The wawa gas station bathroom down the block was cleaner than this place. The poop was smeared everywhere that's disgusting. What else let me tell you the HighC fruit punch tasted like water and I was charge for ice tea even though I never got any ice tea also they would not refund my elderly grandmother for the ice tea by the way Mya if you're reading this u r an emotionless person. Walked in and right away we got our table. The waitress "La dominicana" was super nice and very attentive. We got our coffee (great taste btw) and asked for the T-bone steak with eggs. The food was great and prepared exactly how we ordered it. The bathrooms were also pretty clean compared to other places in the area. Thanks to everyone who attended us that morning and I really hope this dennys solves the understaffed problem. Since i have to give an star it will be for the milkshake (pretty damn good). Everything else was completely horrendous! I ordered the grand slam (eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon and toast) . I got the eggs and toast... they forgot everything else. The kid that brought the food out told our server there was a problem, she came over to our table so "worked up" that I thought she wanted to fight lol. Rather than simply asking if there was a problem , she was completely overwhelmed and rude. The food that we did get was only partially eaten due to it being complete slop. Being that we live in Manchester, NJ my family And I don't get to have Denny's as much as we'd like because we are huge fans of the chain and we come this way to get our taxes done so my brother, sister and I decided to stop here for a quick brunch and the service was amazing. Eaten here about 7 times. Each time the waitresses were very nice and gave you quick service. This place is packed all the time. We've had omlettes/pancakes. so far so good. We enjoyed our meal considering there isnt many other places in the area (Shore Diner is good but been there 100x). this Dennys is nicer than many of the others on the road in the US. read more

I ordered online and when I went in to pick it up not only was it not ready but they had no idea that I even ordered anything. The general manager Maria wasn't very good at explaining what happened either. She tried to lie but never admitted that they messed up. I eventually just got frustrated and agreed to call in to get my order refunded. I wouldn't recommend ordering online EVER. When I usually go inside and order there's not really an issue except when it was super busy and they pronounced my name wrong just skipped over me so I was waiting an extra half an hour not realizing my name was ever called. Let me start by saying we loved our waitress Susan! She was the only person who wanted to be there working. We were visiting Atlantic City for some much needed gambling when we seen a few people with Denny's cups in their hand. They confirmed the location was open for outdoor dining so having always loved Denny's we made our way over their almost immediately. The set up was pretty small with only 5 tables in what was a pretty decently sized parking lot. 2 family's we're waiting to be sat in front of us so we decided to at least our our order in while waiting for be seated. Worst case scenario I'd the food came out before we could get seats we would take it go. As we finished placing our order with who we would assume was the manager or supervisor he told us we could wait in our car and someone would come bring it out. We let him know that we were waiting for a table and wed be sitting outside he got very upset and even went as far as telling us that's not how this works. Mind you we were already in queue for a table and figured why wait to place an order when we got seated when we could atleast be ahead of the game. Now you have to understand they had this amazing waitress Susan out there by herself in atleast 85 degree weather running food orders, checks, clean up and hostess duties all at the same time. No help for her whatsoever. Eventually after about 20 min we got our seats and figured the food would be out shortly and happy we got a jump on ordering. 40 minutes go by before we get our food which was ice cold. There was no way it took that long to get the order cooked and was pretty obvious with the temperature of the food that they left it to the side in a attempt to get back at us for breaking "protocol" in their ordering system. 60 minutes for 4 small orders of breakfast? There is no way and they should be ashamed of themselves for sending out food like that. Poor representation of the food service industry and Denny's. Once again Susan was amazing, apologetic and always kept a smile on her face. It was clear who should and should not be there that's day. I wish I caught the managers name but he was the only one answering phone calls and working the register. Never in a million years would I go back to this location and I hope when people take the time to read this review they will be saved and go somewhere else. Lastly the times we are in right now with unemployment where it is and the uncertainty of this virus, people really need to appreciate the the business. As much as it was to sit and eat a meal (a cold meal at that) it wasn't absolutely necessary and could have easily been given up. Adapt to the new business model or just stay closed. Hire people who actually want to work and are happy to be there or don't and fire the ones already there. finally, SUSAN thank you for your excellent service and friendly attitude! Our surfer dude with the typical blonde beach hair was very friendly and even gave us extra food for while we were waiting. Stopped here with a couple of friends to refuel after a night out in Atlantic City since it was too far out of the way, but this might be one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. They had us at bacon menu, and lost us service, speed, and meh food. I went to Denny's tonight around 11 o'clock , placed my order for take out, and didn't get my order till 1245. I ordered three drinks and ice tea and two milkshakes. They gave me the milkshakes right away, and they were melted by the time I got my food, and hour and a half later. When I went home I realized they forgot one of my meals. I'm usually really laid-back about this stuff because I know how hard it is. But there's absolutely no reason it took more than an hour and a half, and they still forgot one of my meals. It's completely unacceptable, I was very disappointed. When I realized one of my meals was missing I called them, and the lady that took my order said that she put it in the bag, which she did not. I went back and they made me a fresh one. By the time I got to eat my food it was cold. I probably won't be ordering takeout from Dennys again. read more

We are coming to NJ from Florida for holidays. Denny's on Tilton is always pretty packed. I like the food very much, especially because it is not just fast food: they have salmon! for dinner, and pretty sophisticated deserts. Breakfast stuff is very good as well. My hot chocolate was delicious (and Im very picky about hot chocolates btw). So highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. read more

Came here with my daughter to grab a bite to eat before going to watch a movie. Right away entering the door the front carpets looked dirty so I could tell they don't take the time to vacuum and make it look somewhat presentable but that wasn't even the worst part. Hostess was nice and seated us right away. Server was a black male server who was also nice, we order two fruit smoothies and pancakes for my daughter while I looked at the menu to see what I wanted. Right away when I open the menu I got a foul smell of rot and I couldn't figure out what it was I thought someone must have farted or shit their pants because it was awful, then I discover what it was at the last page of the menu. (Pic below) it was a napkin with old food that had mold and rot with bugs in it. It was the most disgusting thing I have seen in a restaurant and I have worked in restaurants all my life (currently a server at A restaurant In Ship Bottom) we got up to leave right away and our server asked us if everything was ok to which point I showed him the menu. To which he replied "Are you freakin serious" as this is a common or not surprising occurrence. I will never be back to this place or perhaps any Denny's in my life. Absolutely horrific service when I arrived the servers were fixed up behind the counter because of mistakes they made on customers checks which caused me to wait longer before I was address I guess I should mention I was there for a pick up order I made over the phone so after 5 minutes or so I'm finally greeted I state that I'm here to pick up my order which I made over the phone ( server clearly didn't acknowledge what I said and continued to check online orders) I stated again I made my order over the phone I asked if she can check the kitchen see if my order has been placed immediately she opposed and said their is no way it would have to be in the computer and started to ask for my order ... while pulling out her pad and pen .... now my question is ... she her self isn't putting my order in the computer ... Walked into the restaurant waited almost 10 minutes to even have a employee walk up to us. We saw all the employees right behind the counter talking laughing, looking our way but not coming. I LOVE Denny's! I wish Denny's would take over all the Ihops in our area. For starters, Denny's, no matter where I am seems much cleaner than Ihops. Most of the times when I got to Ihops I'm worried that I'm going to put my hand in a sticky syrup stop somewhere. I don't hate Ihop though, just like Denny's better. We do not have any Denny's locations up in North Jersey anymore sadly :(. The "Slam" meals are a great way for you to order a lot of different items without having to pay to order tons of sides and get more food than you can eat. Love the pancakes, love the home fries, love the pastries, love the bacon...therefore i love the Breakfast there! I can't comment on dinner or lunch but some of the items on the menu almost tempted me to skip breakfast at 11 AM and go straight for lunch. That pretty amazing since breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. Our server, once he realized we were his table was polite and apologetic. We had to keep reassuring him that "it was O.K.". **THIS RESTAURANT IS NOT SAFE DO NOT GO!** After tonight's experience I no longer feel comfortable going to this Denny's. Restaurant manager, John Knowels, publicly abused his employee and customers. After a benign miscommunication, he proceeded to reprimand a waitress by backing her into a wall and speaking directly into her face while disrespectfully pointing his finger, again, in her face. Seeing this made me feel obligated to make him aware of how his behavior made me, and possibly other customers, feel highly uncomfortable. Once I address the situation with him, he told me that I do not understand the situation or what I saw and, "he knows how to do his job." Being disgusted by this response, we leave. He then follows us out of the restaurant and proceeds to speak down on a member of our party in the same intimidating fashion as he did to the previously mentioned waitress.
