I usually go to Denny's or a diner late at night or in the morning. I order a lot of breakfast. As such, these places normally underwhelm me. Most food is usually bland and requiring my doctoring. Not at this place! My Eggs had good flavoring and the perfect texture. I have to laugh, but I haven't had eggs that good since the last time I had to cook them for myself. I'm insanely picky with my food. The homefries at other places are always either undercooked or burnt.... Not here! You can just call yourself Goldie-locks because they are Pefect! Perhaps a journey down nostalgia highway but I was pleased to see a Denny's still open (They were always my brother's favorite spot along the road.) especially one rich with memories and two Yelp reviews. I was greeted warmly with a great smile as I looked around at the aging dining room that once upon a time would have had a Sunday morning waiting line. The restaurant is spotless and perhaps this is TMI but the restroom was likewise absolutely clean, which is a good indication that management cares. The menu was a classic Denny's menu with all the favorites from days gone by. I am being given smiling attention by the wait staff ... coffee delivered hot and fresh! Even extra napkins (They must have seen me eat before ). I spot "real" hot sauce on a neighboring table, none of that Tabasco pepper formula, and that makes me happy too. Went the Benny route today ... so here's where all was not perfection. The eggs were perfectly poached sitting on nice slices of Canadian bacon. Their English Muffin halves positioned perfectly. The Hollandaise well ... a little thick and not visually appealing but once the fork lifted it all up the taste was good. But the "golden crispy" hash browns ugh ... not crisp, not golden with hints of the oil they were cooked in. I glanced one more time at the wall mural reading "Denny's Good Food, Good Friends, Good Times. Haven't been to this Denny's in years and it definitely isn't as busy as it used to be. The food was okay and the customer service was really good. For the price it's a good deal especially the kids menu. Kids eat free on Tuesdays from 4-10pm so will be back to check that out. read more

The D's experience we had was not great, the restaurant was pretty empty yesterday around lunch time, I usually go to Denny's as a last resort. The best thing was the service, but in this empty restaurant we were seated at a booth right on the side of the kitchen. The food at this Denny's is questionable. Sometimes it's accurate and well prepared and sometimes it looks like they're giving us leftovers. An example is these buffalo chicken strips we ordered. Stringy and dry and extremely salty. I don't recommend eating at this Denny's. read more

If we are being real, I've only been to a Denny's in altered state of mind. However, my friends and I went to this location in the right state of mind and it was pretty good. The atmosphere is what you would expect, it's a Denny's. However, the service was great and really focused on what we wanted. I got an Oreo Milkshake and it was so good (they give you a lot so you get some extra milkshake). I got the Patty Melt and added an extra side of hashbrowns with cheese. Lady who was manager was bussing a table next to me . Inquired as to what waz going on with waiter . She takes ordrr puts it in.takes about 15 to 20 minutes for a lumberjack( which btw was great). At no time did the eventual waiter ever stop back to check on me. I waited 20 minutes for the check after finishing. When i asked some other waiter he ran check and I said tell whoever it is i waNt another diet coke. When i get back from the restroom cheque is on table. I wait ten minutes no coke refill. Only giving 1 star because I can't give zero. Absolutely horrible and likely will never be returning. First of all, the website for Denny's advertised Curbside pick up which is bs because allegedly this location in Northfield according to the very rude, disrespectful, and dismissive hostess does not actually follow through with curbside. Food was pitifully horrible. It was cold as ice and the hashbrowns had more grease than the hair of someone that works out regularly and hasn't showered in like a year or more. Quality of food was absolutely subpar. As for ambiance, if you want to call it that, it seems like they let a toddler play with the thermostat because it's summer, but I basically walked into a gigantic walk in freezer that was beyond uncomfortably cold. We were looking for a place to have a sit down breakfast after leaving the Borgata in Atlantic City we picked Denny's Restaurant #7061, at 335 Tilton Rd, Northfield, NJ 08225 From the list in Google maps. Our server, Jared, a very nice and professional young man, was one of the best servers we ever had in a restaurant. He took our order promptly even though there were many patrons in the restaurant and he got the order correctly and brought it out as soon as it was ready. (There is a sign on the door asking for patience since they are shorthanded due to people not returning to work. You know, COVID-19 stimulus checks) We did have to wait a while for our food but everything was perfect and delicious. We were also surprised at the low total on our bill. I double checked it to make sure we were charged for everything. It was correct just very inexpensive. Like half of what we pay in our local diner in Staten Island. I am usually kinda a fan of Denny's, but this Denny's might have been one of the worst I have ever been to. The waiter was extremely cold, did not make us feel welcome. We had to wait a half an hour for a spot that was never taken. Tables were wiped lightly but not entirely sanitized, so I did not feel secure. Even though Denny's is an American favorite I have to say the service is a hit or miss. Yesterday we came in and had a wonderful server (Belém J). She took our order and was very very pleasant. If you ever come to this location please ask for her go to her location she will give you great service. She will know exactly what you need with the order you placed. On our second adventure we thought we would get the same kind of service yet it was a miss everything wasn't as pleasant as our first encounter. The waitress was very serious but a nice lady who was on top of her table. She's the only reason I didn't give them one star. Front desk cashiers, just horrible customer service. If I could give ZERO or negative stars, I would. We had an absolutely terrible experience at this Denny's and we will never return to this location. We went to this Denny's after leaving Atlantic City, around 12:15am on Monday 3/11/19. When we walked in, there were 3-4 other smaller tables seated and another table of 8 people, which was leaving as we sat down. Our server (Ken) was very friendly and took our order in a timely manner. And then we waited... and waited... and waited... 2 other tables came in and were seated after us... and we all waited some more. After 45mins of waiting, the waiter brought us out a dessert to hold us over. It was delicious, don't get me wrong... but again, no food at all after 45mins! At that point the manager on duty was turning people away that came through the door! She was telling them it would be an hour wait. But she never once approached any of the tables that were already seated and explained what was happening. We then heard/watched her get an attitude and be rude to the cook. Again, she never once came around to any table and apologized or explained what was going on. She had the waiter doing it while she was just standing there. I found it to be very unprofessional on her part! So after over an hour of waiting, we left with no food and still starving. read more
