Right when when we walked in, we were welcomed with hellos. We sat down, and the waitress, Ramona greeted us with a warm smile. She took our drink order and handed us the menu. The Restaurant is very clean and very welcoming. It's attached to Flying J's, pretty much a one stop shop, which is very convenient. My husband ordered the lumberjack and I ordered the original grand slam. My husband is very picky when it comes to eggs and he was very satisfied with the way they came out and of course everything else, was delicious. To be honest, I never finish all my pancakes but this time I did, they were so fluffy and delicious. Don't go here. There is a convenience store outside, get your food there and eat in your car, that'd be much more rewarding experience. The waitresses (there are two) seem to be playing good cop / bad cop. The one that's playing bad cop looks at us, then asks hesitantly, "Just two?.." -- suggesting that a booth might be too much. Then she takes a 10-item long takeout order from a man who is standing next to us. We are waiting. Five minutes pass. The Good Cop waitress comes to the aid. The Bad Cop waitress tells her something, then repeats it several times as if they were struggling to understand each other. The Good Cop waitress gets us a booth in a still mostly empty dining room. She takes our order, double checking every other item with the cook and then with us again. Okay, no soup, it seems that roadside Denny's are short on soup options this summer anyway. I'd like a house salad, just take the cheese away and put in add this salmon add-on. She comes back asking what kind of dressing I'd like to add. Something simple, like oil and vinegar, or no dressing at all is fine too. She checks with the cook, says they have neither, TRIPLE checks that I have indeed ordered a house salad without dressing. She constantly repeats "I'm so sorry" with passion more characteristic of a Broadway performance than a chain restaurant. My wife almost dies of thirst. We wish we could leave, but we have been driving for the entire day. Therefore, we wait. My wife's crepes arrive in half an hour. My salad arrives in forty minutes, with cheese in it. No tea or coffee (which we ordered). "I am so sorry, we are so understaffed". The lonely radio on the order desk somewhat animates the still-mostly-empty dining room with George Harrison's "Got my mind set on you". It takes ten minutes to find someone to check us out. It takes another ten minutes to actually get the bill. In the process, I have to remind her the exact items we have ordered. read more

Stopped in for a quick dinner. However, what I witnessed was one of the most chaotic events in food service. Upon entering this place which was messy and unkempt we waited a long time to get seated. Looking around the restaurant I noticed only about 6 people eating or waiting for a waitress. After being seating the the comedy began with a long wait for someone to witness our presence to a kitchen working asking us if we have been helped. Not taking any notes she takes our order including our drink selection. She runs to the kitchen and we still had no drinks. After a long wait she returns and asked " Did I take your order". We confirmed our order and then she along with a waitress and a host all stood at the register discussing their work schedule and other items while we are waiting for at least our drinks and dinner. As they talked among themselves a long line of potential customers waited to be seated. Others are also standing at register to pay their bill. All the time we wait for at least a drink. Bottom Line we left and found another venue. I felt sorry for anyone stopping in that night for a quiet dinner. read more

Drove into town with my family on our way back from Vegas to Texas and could not find any place to eat. Luckily we found this Dennys located inside the flying J truck stop. We had the best experience and our waiter Toni was extremely nice and attentive. Our food was prepared quickly and tasted perfect. I'm glad we stopped into this cute little town. We stopped here for an early breakfast while traveling. The restaurant is open 24hrs . Upon entering we were greeted and seated by our server Melissa. She is a very nice person and has worked at Denny's for 20 years . She loves her job and it shows. The restaurant is clean and large inside. We ordered our food with recommendations from Melissa . The pancakes are as big as your plate. My wife was impressed with the 9 grain pancakes and the fruit smoothie they serve here. The prices are more than fair for the service and quality of the food. The WORST ABSOLUTELY WORST DENNY'S I have ever been to. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. First, it was Mother's Day; however, it was not bad. There was a truck driver standing, with a menu in hand, waiting for someone to take his order. The manager looked at him and us, as well as the customer waiting for someone to take his order, and walked right into the kitchen. Then, he turned and exited out another door to go and talk to someone he knew sitting at booth. WE WERE STILL WAITING...... Four different waitresses looked at my husband and I and did not come to the front. The manager looked at the two truck drivers, as well as my husband and I FIVE different times. We waited a total of 10 minutes. The other two customers, who walked in before us, waited longer than 10 minutes. I asked one of the men, WHO HAD A LOT OF PATIENCE, how long he was waiting, and he said around 10 minutes. He also stated the male manager just looked at him and walked away. He stated that he felt the manager and staff were being rude. He walked out. We FOLLOWED. I'm so disheartened that Denny's corporation would even hire people that are so rude and disrespectful. I don't wish anyone to lose their job, but all of the Mother's Day employees need to be retrained or have the invitation to seek employment elsewhere. read more

This Denny's is SOOOO NASTY it puts others to shame! The food is so bland and unfavorful. The broccoli was half brown upon receiving it and my mashed potatoes were so gross and half dried like they had been sitting in a pot all day! My husbands salmon was not fresh! My pot roast was very chewy. I have been scared to try any other Denny's since this! So disgusting! Manager get another dam cook! This was from back a year ago but it still needs to be said! The two waitresses were also verbally fighting and the one called the other one a white girl as a racist remark. The waitresses never came back to our table to fill my ice tea and waters. Took my family for dinner and had an awesome server named Jaime. She was super friendly, helpful, and professional. She went above and beyond to make sure our service was great!
