I love the vibe here. For a Denny's this was absolutely amazing! I was here just passing through and I had the pleasure of meeting what I felt was the best waitress in Nevada. Mary was my waitress and I honestly didn't even know what I wanted to eat. She suggested this omelette and let me just say that if you're reading this and you're not on your way to Ely, NV to get this omelette you're missing out! Mary was amazing and very attentive to me. I appreciate her vibe and the fact she was dealing with my indecisiveness in a professional way. Next time I'm in Ely, NV I'm definitely stopping to see Mary and getting my now favorite omelette!

This used to be the coffee shop of the Hotel Nevada but it has been leased to Denny's. One of the perks of staying at the Hotel Nevada is that you get a voucher for a free breakfast at Denny's. I sat at the counter and handed the slip to a server. She asked me how I wanted my eggs and did I want bacon or sausage. She entered the order on the terminal and brought me my coffee. In a short time, I was brought the breakfast of two pancakes, two sausages, and two eggs over easy. I was expecting I'd order my breakfast but this is the way they do it for the free breakfast. The eggs were OK, the pancakes are generally something I don't order, and the sausage links were overcooked from their frozen state. My coffee was refilled and this gave me a start to what would be a long day. The second morning, I didn't get the free coupon but ordered from the menu. I got a ham and cheese omelette with hash browns and rye toast. The breakfast was passable. There was an odd mixture of cheese with one slice of American and a lot of Swiss that was like eating cheese off the top of onion soup. One night I stopped in for dessert and ordered a sundae. The woman really didn't know how to make it and ended up giving me too much ice cream (not a bad thing) but there was no room to put the Oreo crumbles that were supposed to go on top. I ate some of the ice cream and then added the Oreo pieces as I went along. Given that there are so few places in Ely, this may be as good as it gets.

Have eaten at Dennys many times over the years and never had to eat nachos with a spoon.

Five stars for just existing in such a remote location. My server suggested that they had a prime rib dinner special that evening and I couldn't resist trying it. The food wasn't over the top in flavor and quality but was solid, flavorful and an unexpected treat. The prickly pear margarita wasn't my favorite but was certainly refreshing. I just like a little more tart taste in my cup o' tequila. The international crowd seemed to enjoy the outdoor dining ambiance while I, being solo, hung out and ate at the bar. The staff were friendly, maybe a little inefficient in their efforts, but all were helpful given time. I felt a little bad for the owner-chef, who seemed to be herding cats at times. Overall, I'm really glad I had dinner here in Baker rather than waiting to eat in Ely where I spent the night. I wish the owners and staff success and will be back when I'm in the area.

The servers were next-level friendly and prompt despite the dinner rush, they have some fun art, and it's a peaceful place. I really loved the green beans, and another favorite item was the apricot sorbet. They make a ton of items, which is very cool. I only wish they had a few more dairy-free items (especially for breakfast), but what they do offer is far better than expected for this remote location- it would stand up in any metro area. My husband raved about the root beer float, pasta, and pizza. Dinner is sit-down and if you go for breakfast or lunch, it's counter service. They have an extremely well-stocked bar- we didn't partake, but many around us did, and drinks looked excellent.

Four of my friends and I went to dinner here last Friday night and while we were waiting to be served they were complaining about the last time they had been in and how long it took to get there food. This time was no exception. The place was somewhat busy and I believe there was only one waitress. The atmosphere was noisy, the waitress was friendly and on top of it as she could be. The food was average and took a while to get. This being said it is Eureka NV with not many choices for places to work or eat so if you decide to stop in you will have to just grin and bare it.

There wasn't much of a choice. Service was ok, I think the poor boy was overworked managing the whole dining room himself and rude demanding customers screaming at him. Interior was nothing special, felt a little dirty. Had to ask for condiments. My hubbys cheeseburger was good but my chicken Philly cheesesteak had gigantic chicken slices so I can't pick it up and bite into it without the chicken falling out. I'm used to small, shredded pieces of chicken in a cheesesteak! Lemonade tastes like cough syrup. Afterwards, I had the worst stomachache the whole way home back to California. I know it's the desert but I would skip. PS: what is up with all the broken and chipped plates??? This shows this place truly does not care about the perception and the dining experience. Check out my broken chipped plate. My hubbys plate was worst with multiple chipped spots, can't see too well but check out his cheeseburger picture, you can see a chip on his plate.
