Today I had a very good experience at Denny's. I was there with my soon to be son-in-law. He happened to be there to ask for my daughter's hand in marriage. Mostly because my waitress DORA, was an excellent server. She must've checked on us about a half a dozen times while we were there and made sure we had the drinks, and that we had the right order and if everything was OK. She is a perfect example of how a waitress should, and is a great representative of the Denny's corporation. I wish more waitresses were like that. She had our food out to us really fast and made suggestions. It made us feel like she actually cared about her job. The restaurant looks clean. The noise level was acceptable and we had an overall a good experience. Thank you again Dora for being an excellent waitress for us today. She deserves a raise. read more

What do you do with a Dennys gift certificate from Christmas? You use it! This Dennys doesn't have a 55+ menu. Something g to do with being corporate or franchised. Came around for dinner hour. I ordered the one piece chicken Fried steak, corn and mashed potatoes and came with bread. I'm not sure what kind of meat they used but it was okay. Were kind of skimpy with gravy as they didnt cover the steak. I also ordered a strawberry lemonade which was tasty but too sweet. Wife had a pot roast sandwich with fries. She said it was okay. Waitress was attentive and fast. They have a 2 for 1 special right now that really looked like a good deal. It's for a breakfast item. I live close but I don't come but I don't come here often. I normally order take out 3-4 times a year. The manager Hector is very nice and professional I've been ordering the Two berry crepe breakfast. It's about $15 and very good. It comes with strawberries and two eggs, hash browns and bacon or sausage. The order always comes out pretty quick within 10 mins even when it's busy. The restaurant is always very clean even when it's busy. My only tip is to come here early as half of Cali seems to get here after 9AM. read more

Today is my birthday, and I went to Denny's expecting to use the birthday coupon I'm signed up for. Unfortunately, I was told I have to wait 24 hours to receive the email, and once those 24 hours pass, the coupon can't be redeemed at all. What was more disappointing was that the supervisor/manager on duty didn't offer any alternative, courtesy, or even to comp part of the meal--especially considering it was my birthday and the issue was clearly a system limitation, not something I could control. I've always enjoyed Denny's, but this experience felt frustrating and unaccommodating. A little flexibility or acknowledgment would have gone a long way. read more

We ordered take out last night for some dinner (we were staying at the hotel in the same parking lot). All of the food unfortunately was very disappointing. I ordered the classic sampler (the boneless buffalo bites were over cooked and tasted weird, the mozzarella sticks leaked when I bit into it and also tasted off, the fries were very soft), we also ordered boneless buffalo chicken by itself which was also very overcooked and looked almost black. The zesty nachos were probably the better of everything and even that was unfortunately disappointing as well. The chili was flavorful but the cheese was just a huge clump in the middle. Didn't break apart easy at all I gave up on trying to eat it. Overall, we won't be coming here again. read more
