Unfortunately, does pretty decent work, but ZERO customer service ability. Is booked out 3+ weeks, which I waited patiently for, but then incessantly and repetitively demands payment immediately (when any other contractor ever is net 30 day terms). Texts at 530am, repetitive texts and phone calls, etc., all inside of 10 days after the job was completed and AFTER he was told that a check was already in the mail. Work was completed Dec 27th and by Jan 7th got a "F*** you" on the phone. Will NOT be using him again! read more

Dennis Electric is great! They've done a couple of jobs for me so far. The first job was extensive rehab after a fire to bring the house back up to code. Had no idea what to expect after a fire... they walked me through what needed to be done and generally what to expect regarding the inspection process. They installed a new electric meter and breaker box and rewired my basement completely with new wiring to the AC, light fixtures, dryer outlet, etc. They got power to the main floor, checked to make sure everything was working as it should. They installed new smoke detectors and some new outlets too. They did an excellent job! The crew was very nice and super professional. They were quick and showed up when they said they would.  I highly recommend Dennis Electric. I'll be calling them again soon! read more

The guys they sent out did an amazing, amazing job. It's so crazy to me because there were all these things around our house that we were like "Man, I wish we could put a light here", or "I wish there was a light here", or "I wish this light didn't flicker when it's turned on". These guys did it all, and totally blew us away. They installed a bathroom ceiling vent fan/light and it looks and works amazing, they installed a bunch of new lights on the outside of the house, and they even swapped out an old light on a wall we didn't like with an LED, then when I said the LED was too bright they - without even remotely complaining - installed a dimmer switch there for me instead. I had a bunch of super old phone wires running across the basement that I'd been trying to remove but I didn't know if they were live or anything. Just because I asked, the team cut out all those old phone wires and made it look so much nicer in the basement because of that, so incredibly happy that got done. Pricing was super fair for the amount of work that was done, so that was super great when I got the final total at the end Could not say enough good thing about this company! Literally the only thing that is a bummer is they're so good that whenever I call they're always 3+ weeks out because so many people want to work with them, but even then they're worth the wait! I wish I had read the review about not wearing a mask. I had the same experience, showed up at the door maskless. I offered him one and he clearly was annoyed. I told him he didn't have to wear if he didn't want to, but he would not be able to enter my house without it. When he came back a second time to complete the work he had a mask at first but removed it halfway through the job. With surging numbers in our city this is the height of irresponsibility and just rude. read more

I had Dennis Electric replace my fuse box as it was basically a recalled model. In addition I wanted a hook up for my portable generator. I called Dennis and he was prompt to show up for my estimate. Super friendly and just plain easy to get along with kind of guy. He explained to me in terms I understood as to how he could get me setup to use my generator if needed. His price was certainly fair so I went ahead and hired him. On the scheduled day his son and a helper showed up promptly. They were very polite and professional and completed their portion of the job. Dennis came a bit later to finish a couple of things and I'm very happy with the outcome. Dennis went over all instructions with me as to how to use the generator if needed and made notes for me as well. He even said feel free to call him should I ever have any questions. Garage lights stopped working. Tried to youtube warrior and troubleshoot it myself over the last couple of months before throwing in the towel. Not an emergency call so after about a week (they're a smaller company and busy) they showed up and low and behold it was a fan in the upstairs bedroom that ended up being the problem that I myself installed a couple of years back (faulty wiring). Fixed the fan wiring which fixed the garage lights issue. Provided solutions to some other issues I had going with my house. Overall satisfied with the service and taking the time to explain the issue (I love learning as a novice DIY'er). Very personable, honest, and friendly. read more

I would give Dennis Electric zero stars if possible. They completely botched a relatively simple installation of our new big screen tv which involved running an HDMI cable. They put SEVEN HOLES in our walls, ran conduit and mounted a metal box on the FRONT of our house on our NEW vinyl siding AND charged us 3x the amount we discussed. Very unprofessional! I recently moved to the Omaha, NE area and was unfamiliar with any businesses in the area. I needed some electrical work done in my garage so I looked up a few companies online and after an in-home quote from Dennis Electric and extremely prompt responses, I decided to go with them. Matthew and his crew came out and did a fantastic job. They also did the job quickly and efficiently, and for an extremely fair price (less than I was quoted from other companies). I now have multiple 220v outlets in my garage and some additional 110v's and I couldn't be happier with the work. On top of that, I personally had wired up the thermostat on my garage gas heater, and did an extremely poor job (thinking I would fix it later... and then never did), and I noticed after Matthew and his crew left, that they had rewired it safely and properly and never charged me for it. Dennis and his team came out to our newly purchased house and were extremely helpful and professional in their work. The friendly electricians took the time to explain in terms I'd understand some of the fixes that they were recommending. For the work that they did, including on site/same day requests that weren't part of the original plans we wanted done, the price was so affordable I'd be hard pressed to find a more cost efficient avenue for the amount of work we had done. We are very happy with the improvements they made and feel our new home is much safer than when we purchased. The guy who showed up for a large project quote walked right in our home without a mask. We offered him a disposable mask, and he seemed reluctant to put it on. He was condescending to my wife when she asked questions. Little did he know, she's quite knowledgeable about construction, plumbing and electrical work. Won't even consider this business. read more

Used this company in previous house and was pleased with service. However, the 2 workers showed up today with no masks and when questioned said they could get bandanas from the truck. That means they are going in and out of house without proper masks, with risk of picking up COVID and passing to others. And bandanas do not provide adequate protection, plus using same one (how many times) over and over is not protective for me or them. Very disappointed. Canceled the work and found company whose workers wear masks for every job. read more

Dennis came out and gave us a reasonable quote for what we wanted done. I should have gotten the quote in writing. He stated that for 2 of his guys to come out, labor and everything included, they should get it done in less than 4 hrs and quoted "under $1000". The 2 guys were on time but were delayed getting started right away because they had to run to the store for more supplies. After coming back and starting, it wasn't long before 1 of them had to go to the store again. It took just over 5 hours (included the runs to the store which I don't think should have been included in my charged by the hour rate) and the actual price owed was over $1500. A couple hundred off from a quote I can understand, but $500-$600 is pretty crazy. I still gave 3 stars because they did nice work and cleaned up after themselves. read more

I called him and he's the first contractor that I've dealt with in a long time that was punctual and followed up with me very quickly.
