Last fall, we had them come give us an estimate to reattach the electrical to the side of our house after a limb fell. Their bid was outrageously expensive! We found another local company to do the job for less than half the price. However, their prices are not the issue here. I don't care what you charge, just leave me alone once I hire someone else. They have called almost weekly very early in the morning to "follow up". This is absolutely insane! We have asked multiple times for them to quit calling. I finally blocked them on the phone and thought that was the end of it. But, no! I got a new phone last week and within less than 24 hours they were calling me again. read more

Hired these guys to do electrical in our house. They added 2 outlets to plug our tv's so a cord doesn't show. Everything went well. They were on time, fast, and friendly. They wore bootles in ther house and left everything tidy. Would definitely hire them again. They also do an inspection on the electrical system. We scheduled an estimate end of June. There was no opening before mid August. The estimate was $89.00. They said it won't be charged until they come out but our credit card was charged the same day we scheduled it. We decided to go with someone else. We canceled the appointment the next day. We had work done in February 2017 and thought we had paid for it on another invoice. We never received a bill until June 12, 2019 for $1099.00. I asked if there was a detailed invoice with materials and labor or a work order with our signature. I was told they were going to begin charging 18% interest and that they had been "successful in getting court orders for customers to pay without a signature". I asked them to discount, they said no. I would never trust this company in my home due to the lack of professionalism in regards to the accounting practices. read more

I would never recommend this company to anyone. I was quoted $800 to have a diagnostic run on 2 circuits when my power was out. I decided to call around to get other quotes and the electrician that I ended up going with literally looked at my power box and switched everything on and didn't charge me at all. read more

There were MANY issues we experienced with our recessed light installation with this company. I would NEVER use their services again. We are incredibly disappointed with the final product (pics attached). 1. They arrived 1 hour late. 2. They were not prepared. They bought the wrong sized drill for to make the holes for the lights. Instead of going back and buying a larger drill to make smooth holes, they used a handsaw to create jagged holes in the ceiling. There were two additional holes that they accidentally created in random parts of the ceiling. They also lost control of the handsaw near the electrical switch near our door and left a jagged border/hole around that. It was definitely a tough install because the house is old and the ceilings are plaster, but they took a look at all of those factors during the initial consult and told us they could manage it. 3. They did not cover our furniture for when they used the handsaw (nor did they alert us to cover our furniture prior to arriving), so there was immense amounts of plaster, wood and insulation around the entire house. It took us around 5 hours over the course of 2 days to completely vacuum, wipe, dust, and clean the debris. 4. They worked until around 11:00pm the first night. One of the workers was very frustrated and lost his temper multiple times. The other worker was polite. 5. They installed the lights the following day. We were given the option of a $200 discount or having them fix the holes in the ceiling and around the recessed lights themselves. We didn't feel like scheduling another company to come out because this had already been much more work than we expected, so we asked them to fix the holes they made. They rough patched the holes in our ceiling and roughly sanded it. The final product is a different color and a different texture than our ceiling-the edges of the lights are still not smooth and it looks horrible. It was a very unprofessional installment. We are honestly not sure why they offered to fix it if they didn't know how to do it right. Overall our lights function, and that's the most I can say for them. They do not look like a professional job, they are not smooth, and there are multiple patched up holes in our ceiling (see pictures). The only way we can truly make those patches blend is by repainting and retexturing the entire ceiling. Although all correspondence with this company was polite, the service and quality of their work was abysmal. We spent approximately $1000 on this unsightly project. Ouch. I've seen bait and switch before and I've seen bad bids before but this one takes the cake. I got a bid from Austin of $3253 to move a meter including some trenching to go around a house addition. (Trencher quoted at $545/day). I needed the work done and they said they could do it in my time window. Knowing nothing about this type of work, I relied completely on them to provide an honest bid. When tech arrived, I pointed out the site and asked if they could also expose the Qwest line in order to save the $230 Qwest quoted since they were already going to be digging. (Qwest said having my electrician do it would be fine - they even gave me a junction box for free). Two hours later I got an email at work (not the call I requested when I left for work) with a new bid of $10,254 because of all the new work requested (and the trencher jumped to $584/day - imagine that). Before authorizing Austin's original bid, I called to verify the quote and they assured me Austin bids thousands of jobs and knows what he's doing (except he evidently couldn't tell the difference between 200amp & 400amp service). In fairness, he was friendly. The jump to $10,254 on install day is a problem, however. I contacted a different licensed contractor who gave me a bid to do the complete project for $3398 including all trenching. I wish I had looked at Yelp* before wasting a week. Especially telling are the personal snarky comments from the owner about every single person who leaves a negative review. I GUARANTEE he will have some immature comments about this review and he'll probably include personal attacks on me as well (which will be hysterically funny to anyone who knows me or my character). That is a dead giveaway of a company's culture and character. Avoid this company (it's really just one sleazy guy with an employee or two) if integrity matters to you. THIS BUSINESS IS NOT BBB ACCREDITED (for good reason). Followup: I received an email several hours later while I was at work (after I requested a call because I only see email sporadically during the day) stating, "Austin gave you an estimate that was for that day. You didn't approve it and it had additional options at the bottom." (including the price of the trencher that they apparently didn't actually intend to use?). LOL! Of course I fired them immediately and told them not to do any work whatsoever. They never did have the courage to call me to talk to me in person. And then of course, the cowardly personal attack in the owners response to my review, as predicted, based on his previous track record. Wow Integrity. Lacking. Class. Lacking. Courage. Lacking. Moxie. In no short supply. (2nd followup: All work was completed extremely satisfactorily by a different, far more ethical and better qualified firm for less than $6,000 with permits and inspections included.) Avoid the sleaze. Hire anyone but this morally bereft, insecure, immature non-BBB Accredited person. read more

If I could give them a 0 I would. Absolute nightmare. Austin over charged us and lied to us, Jason the general manager yelled at me on the phone when I called to ask about the bill and then HUNG UP ON ME like a teenager. They say they have a 100% money back guarantee which is never given to you in writing so they don't back it up. All I wanted was someone to do quality electrical work at the price I was quoted, and to be honest with me. NONE of those things happened. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone!!!!! Power crew came to our house to give us a quote on a new box. We told him that we needed to get it installed very quickly and the technician said he could do it the next day Sunday he would be at our house at 8 am sharp. He instead didn't show, called at 9:30 and said he would be to our house within half hour. We explained how important it was that he was on time to get everything tip top and done before our house had showings later on that day. We called the company and told them we were going to not need their services and they refuse to give back our four hundred dollars. NO work was done, Nothing completed, Rude employees. They do not follow through with their satisfaction guarantee. Disappointing that they can take advantage of people like this. read more

Our house is 98 years old, and at some point the kitchen had a set of awful four-foot fluorescent tube lights installed. We wanted to replace those with recessed lights, so we contacted Power Crew for an estimate. Michael came and looked things over, and gave us a very reasonable quote for installation (with the cost of parts included). We agreed to it, and when the day came he arrived and worked with us on the exact placement of the lights (having to work around the quirks of our house). When he started to drill holes in the ceiling, he found that an air duct had been installed, and it didn't leave enough room for the cans. He discussed some alternative like track lights with us and wrote a new estimate, and left so we could talk it over. He was really nice and professional. We didn't want track lights, so we did some research and found a new kind of surface-mount LED light which is very compact and can be installed into a normal ceiling box. We called Power Crew again and this time Jason came to do the work. There was a bit of a mix-up, as he thought we still wanted track lighting, but when we showed him the lights we'd found, he was very receptive to the idea. He experimented with the lights a little and found they're installed using spring clips, and it takes a fair amount of force to mount them or remove them, so the ceiling boxes would need to be pretty solid. He examined our ceiling again and took some photos, and asked if he could take one of the lights to the shop and mock up an installation of it so he could get it right in our kitchen. We were ready a couple of weeks later, and he returned with the proper boxes to install (he had contacted the manufacturer's engineers to find which ones they recommended). He worked all day, and even though it was a tricky situation, he was able to install all five lights properly, including a smaller box to terminate the old wiring above one of them. It's not possible to install the lights perfectly flush with the ceiling, but he noticed a tube of caulk we had from another project and asked if he could use it to caulk the gap between the light fixtures and the ceiling. Jason was also extremely nice and professional, very engaged during the entire project, and obviously very invested in doing it right and giving us the best results possible even though our house made it a challenge. We couldn't be happier with the service, and we would recommend him and Power Crew to anyone. read more

After reading the complaints on this company and the owner writing all complaints as malicious I will give my recent experience. I called this company for a simple bathroom ventilation install. I already had the fan and vent kit at my home. I was quoted $886 for this simple job. Called the owner out for price gouging and he continued to email me and insult my intelligence. I personally know electricians and also looked up the national average for this type of install. This company is gouging all those who buy into their fuzzy math. Getting the fan installed next week for $300 by licensed electrician. Im sure the owner will reply to this as malicious as he has with the other negative reviews. read more

We had Jason come out to fix a recessed light that would not function. It turned out to be a unit that was shorted out and the worst part was the breaker did not flip even though it was shorted. Upon inspection Jason determined the electrical box was at fault and that the maker of this box actually went out of business because people's houses were burning down. He did a great job at replacing the box as well as testing out every outlet in the place. We felt he was honest and the pricing was fair. read more

A young representative came to my house at 1:00. Didn't seem very knowledgeable about work I wanted done but agreed to put down on a figure he gave me. Too many red flags so I called the next morning at 8am. Jason would not cancel the order. Subsequently he stopped answering my phone calls. I repeatedly left messages and emails that I would pay for the service charge ($78) for the trip to my house but I expected the rest to be refunded as I did not receive any products or installments. I ended up writing the credit card company explaining his stonewalling. After months, the credit card issued me what I had asked for. Jason did not refund the money, the credit card company understood that I did not receive anything for the $147 he was keeping. read more
