I've gotten the privilege of working with Dennis twice. The first time was with one of my closest friends weddings in which he was the photographer for. He was so easy to work with at her wedding, and you really didn't notice he was even there! Which is great for those looking for the photojournalistic style of wedding photographs. Her pictures turned out incredible!!!! Especially since the groom is camera shy (I know because I took their engagement photos). It was so great to see all the moments he caught. Then came time for my wedding. I started on the journey of looking for a wedding photographer. There are so many choices out there, how do you choose?! And prices seemed extremely expensive for so many of the photographers (we were on a tight budget), and they all seem good, but some of them had too many of the posey shots that we didn't want for our wedding. It sent me into a panic attack, so I called my friend. She really recommended Dennis. "And he rides horses!". I'm a huge horse person, so right there was a good reason to contact Dennis. Right away he put me at ease (more so than any other photographer that I contacted in our price range - we didn't contact that many and he was the first to respond). Dennis is very laid back, but EXTREMELY professional. He really works with you to get the photos you want. He was so easy to work with, and helped us through things when we had questions and was very honest with his answers. His beautiful wife is his co-pilot, which is great! She helps him with the reflectors for your portraits and even helps take some candid pictures since Dennis can't be everywhere at once, even though he seems to be! My husband and I got along really well with Dennis, he has similar interests to us besides photography. We enjoyed hearing about some of the medical missions he got to be the photographer for. (we are both in the medical field and enjoy working overseas). On the day of the wedding, Dennis showed up on time to the hotel we were all getting ready for, bounced between the brides preparing room and grooms preparing room. (I had really wanted photos of us getting ready). None of us girls had any issues with him being there in the room with us. We actually really enjoyed his company (and I think all of our gross nursing stories kept him entertained). When we got to the venue (running a little late from the hotel), and I started having an anxiety attack because one of the false eyelashes the makeup artist put one started coming loose and off, Dennis was able to help point out that we don't have to wait for someone to come back with glue, that we can still take the portrait and family photos with it like that because you can't tell and won't be able to tell in the photos. That calmed me down and allowed me to finish putting my dress on and go do the photos before all the guests arrived. Dennis's goal for the posed photos, is get them done quickly and move on and back to the party. And that was exactly what we wanted. We wanted the photos in the moment, especially since my husband is also a camera shy guy. We couldn't have been happier with the photos! Dennis did such an incredible job! He caught all the important moments and made sure he had photos of all the important people in our lives that were at the wedding. And you really didn't notice he was there, and that is part of the reason why he gets these great candid shots that really show the true person in the photograph, because they don't know they are being photographed. This was exactly what we wanted and what we got and we couldn't have been happier! Even after the wedding, Dennis has been a joy to work with and we have been so glad to have met him and have him as our photographer. You really cannot go wrong with this decision. read more

I would highly recommend Dennis. He was great to work with throughout the wedding process, from the planning through our reception and afterwards. He is a really cool, laid back guy with an amazing eye. Dennis was also incredibly helpful and responsive to any questions we had. During the planning process, he helped my husband and i pick with the right package for us to best capture our wedding in photos, this included getting a mini photo studio for our reception. The day of our wedding ended up not exactly as planned, due to a major power outage and incredibly high temperatures, but Dennis was very easy going about all of our last minute changes, which was great. And somehow, despite our sweating through our clothes, he managed to captured us really looking our best. The mini photo studio that we had was placed on the dance floor and we got tons of great pictures from that. Once the photos were ready, Dennis compiled the mini photo studio pics into a video for us, set to a song of our choosing. It is so much fun to watch! In addition, within a month of our wedding, Dennis provided us with links to our photos, as well as a CD with hi-res images, and prints of each photo. (His albums are really beautiful and once things settle down a bit, i look forward to picking out some photos and having him put together an album for us.) When selecting a photographer, most people rely heavilly on the portfolio. Dennis has a spectacular one, and there should be no question that the images he delivers will be outstanding. His experience in photojournalism has given him a great eye for capturing natural, unexpected moments that show raw emotion and personality. Hiring a good photographer, though, is more than just choosing a great portfolio. We recently hired Dennis to came to Colombia to photograph our wedding. During this period he did an engagement shot, captured the entire wedding/reception and did a photo-booth during the reception. I could be happier with these photos! Dennis is an amazing photographer - He is an artist with light and is incredibly talented at capturing absolute joy!!! Working with Dennis was also a pleasure. I hope I have another opportunity to have my photographs taken by Dennis. He truly made me feel at ease as he took my graduation photos. As someone who usually does not get nervous easily, I found myself getting anxious about having my photos taken because I wanted perfection. Dennis offers great conversation and makes you feel comfortable while he gently advises you on how he wants you to stand, look, etc. My pictures came out fantastic and he truly is an amazing photographer. I would not recommend anyone else in Baltimore for your special occasion and I certainly hope to have him take my photos again. Dennis photographed my wedding September 2012 and did an amazing job, althought I expected nothing different! The photos came out beautiful. Dennis was able to capture every special moment of the day from me getting ready, walking down the aisle with my dad, our vows and the fun at the reception!
