Terrible experience. Denise didn't even wipe my face before applying permanent make up and didn't explain what the results would appear. On top of it - the experience was one of the most painful that beauty treatments to date. She should have drawn guidelines to set the brows straight. The result was crooked. I had Permanent makeup done by Denise Yopp. I feel it's my duty to warn others about her lack of professionalism. Her goal is to work as fast as she can, get her money and get you out of there. What should have taken at least 3 hours took her less than 45 minutes. She made a dark brown line( same color as my eyebrows) all around my lips on the outside of the boarder. My eyebrows were different shapes and horrible. Since I've seen her I've been to 3 other permanent makeup artists and they said "this is the worst job they have ever seen." I'm in the painful and expensive process of removing this horrible job. I usually don't write reviews but think it's my duty to warn others. I only can speak of her present PMU abilities. I hate that I'm having to write this review - but unfortunately, it's the only way I will feel any sort of retribution in regards to my experience and interactions with Denise. I also hope this HELPS someone avoid the experience I just recently had. While she presents as VERY knowledgeable and attentive - through my disastrous experience I learned that was not actually the case. *Speaking with her on the phone and via text initially - prior to meeting in person - all seemed fine and well. She appeared to be knowledgeable, confident and encouraging in the fact that she could help me achieve my skincare needs. *Arriving to my appointment - The "salon" was an absolute dump and disaster. I should have walked out immediately but didn't want to be rude as she was standing right there waiting for me upon arrival. NOTHING felt, or looked sanitary/safe/clean. *Treatment/Procedure - She informed me multiple times that she would be doing a "medical facial" - so it would be fast without all the "fluff" other facials include. Strange, I thought - but ok, she's the professional and her reviews are great. I also warned her "my skin is extremely sensitive". She acknowledged and continued on. She dove right into extractions without steaming my skin - HOW HORRID. Not only did it hurt and not feel good, but it left damage for me to later deal with. She also convinced me of doing some quick "chemical peel", even though I expressed my discomfort around doing it. She swore it was a deal and that my skin needed it, quoting it to cost normally $150 but would sell it to me for $40. It burned and when I got up from the table - my skin didn't feel good and looked quite scary - bruised, red, and swollen. I expect some of that after getting a facial but this was unlike any other facial or extraction I have had done..... and I don't mean that in a good way. *Products - she convinces me I need her products. One that is called "RetinA", another that is called "Precious Collagen Fluid", and one final product labeled "Environmental Protection Spray" (what even is that?? no ingredients listed on this product). I hesitate, but also agreed prior to my visit that I would buy some products so felt I needed to stick to that. $150 for the products (that ended up causing extreme reaction/damage to my skin). *Start using her products mixed with some old products I already had. She devised a skin care regiment that she thought would work best for me. She had me using RetinA 2x a day, along with two products I already owned (and had been using successfully for several months) that included L-Mandelyic Acid, and Benzoyl Peroxide. After two weeks of using her advised treatment plan - I woke up one day to a slightly swollen face (around my eyes and then along my hairline a bit), with inflamed, red, irritated, raw feeling and looking skin. I immediately stopped using her products as it seemed like a sort of topical reaction. I reached out to her immediately expressing my worry and discontent and she immediately started adjusting her treatment plan - saying I needed to pull back on just how much of the products I should be applying. Strange - you probably should have started off slow to begin with Denise, given I expressed HOW SENSITIVE AND DELICATE MY SKIN WAS FROM THE BEGINNING. *I returned to my old skin care practitioner who was just as appalled as I was at the entire process from start to finish with Denise. I would have NEVER left my prior skin care practitioner in the first place if I had not moved because she is truly, amazing and talented. Denise was closer to me in proximity - but huge mistake for me in the long run. I am now commuting to my prior skin care specialist in hopes that she can help me heal from this horrible experience. *It's been three weeks since all this started and my skin is FINALLY beginning to show signs of healing and recovery - however there is discoloration, pigmentation issues and potential scaring that I may never recover from. *I asked Denise to (at the very least) refund me my $$ for the products I purchased - and she could have them back. She refused. I DO NOT KNOW HOW DENISE HAS SO MANY GOOD REVIEWS. I feel completely taken advantage of, helpless and totally scammed. HUGE LESSON LEARNED FOR ME. I purchased a Groupon so that I could meet Denise. She has great reviews except for a couple of unhappy customers but you can't please all the people all the time. But she certainly pleased me! Very nice person, extremely knowledgeable, and my skin felt great. She actually checked in with me the next day to see how I was doing which is something that I've never had before. I purchased some of her products and I'm giving them the old-school try! I think because she told me they're made of pure ingredients They should be great. The little salon that she is in is adorable and the woman who works there with just a doll. I highly encourage you to try Denise for all of your skin care needs. I paid $130 for my facial and the end result surely was nothing to brag about. The main reason I came in to get a facial was to have extractions done, being that I am very oily and have a tendency to get black/white heads. When I got home from the facial most of the black and white heads were not even removed from my face and I ended up having to go see another dermatologist to get a proper facial done the next week. I don't know if she was in a rush when I came by or what, but I certainly could've spent my money more wisely elsewhere. I bought a Groupon for an LED light therapy facial that promoted an improved, brighter complextion. When I arrived the owner, Dennise Yopp, suggested a special kind of microdermabrasion would be a better option for my skin and I would be more pleased with the results. She said normally doctors would charge well over $240 for this kind of "medical grade" microdermabrasion, but she'd only charge $100 because I bought a Groupon. She said I would absolutely see results the same day and that my skin would be smoother. I was willing to try it. Because I had already spent $40 on the Groupon, I thought she would charge the additional $60 for the treatment (totaling $100), instead she charged an additional $100... meaning I spent $140 on one "special, medical grade microdermabrasion." As she was performing the 'special microdermabrasion,' she said I probably wouldn't actually see results unless I received a few more sessions. This contradicted what I believe I had heard her say earlier-- that I'd see results that day in addition to my skin being smoother. I got a little put off, but we were in the middle of the session and I'm an optimist. She spent a total of about 25 minutes with me and told me I could purchase three more sessions at another $100 each. This would total $440 (including the cost of my original Groupon). My observations: -- This special medical grade micodermabrasion felt exactly the same as the other microdermabarsions I've had with the same kind of results but well over twice the cost (even at her discounted rate). It did not include a facial as the others had. -- Her equipment did not look state-of-the-art to me, she spent less time with me, and her office setting wasn't as pleasant or appealing as it is at most estheticians' offices I have visited. -- She also did not have me complete any form or advise me on the standard things like, no sun, no Retin A, etc., which seemed unprofessional but perhaps she she knew I received a microdermabrasion in the past... still, isn't hers "medical grade"? I later called to discuss the price with her (and point out that I paid $140 for that service) and see if she would reduce her rate for future sessions, inline with other kinds of microdermabrasions, but she held her ground. Hers was different she insisted. It was "medical grade." Since then, I have purchased another Groupon for microdermabrasons by Theresa Smith that cost $99 for four ($25 each) and that I have found considerably more effective for me. read more

Denise did such a sloppy job on my eyebrows. I am so upset over this as they are now tattooed on. The color of each eyebrow and the shape are so uneven. I bought a package deal off groupon for 3 deep pore cleansing facials, the minute i get there and tell her about my mild acne and the reason I need a deep pore cleansing facial, she tells me that she has an AMAZING acne facial she does that usually costs $250 but since i bought the groupon package it is now only $80... I sadly fell for this trick and decided to buy this "amazing" acne facial. Long story short, she did not cleanse my face before doing extractions, she did not wear gloves, she did not use steam to open pores, NOTHING. the "amazing acne facial" lasted less than 30 min, no facial I have ever gotten lasted this short. She is a scam, liar. and she is just trying to get the most money out of you, does not care for your skin. No "250 dollar" facial would ever be done like this, she is seriously insane. THANK GOD GROUPON GAVE ME MY MONEY BACK, sadly worst $80 I ever spent. The day after my skin was still irritated and decided to wait and see, next week had to go to my dermatologist because she had caused an infection on my skin. Expert!! This is the 3rd person Ive used. Original eyebrows done 14 years ago, one touch up 7 years ago and this redo. THIS woman is by far the best. Simply knows exactly what you need, picks and mixed the perfect color and does the job in a flash! I felt so confidant and comfortable I finally did my eyeliner which I had been too distrusting to do with others. The numbing cream worked well but still due to my nerves I asked if she would do just a few second bursts to give me a break. She did just what I wanted even if it was a bother (she didnt make me feel that way at all) She reviewed her work, asked my opinion & desired look throughout. Im VERY pleased with the work. I've been to Denise three times at her Fort Lauderdale office. The first time was through a groupon which was for a facial. I was initially surprised that the facial was for only a half hour, but tried it out anyway. The results were favorable. Denise was processional and did an analysis of my skin, then came up with a plan of action. My skin is in pretty good shape, but am noticing some lines forming around my mouth that I wanted her to address. Now after three visits, my skin is noticeably clearer and smoother, with those pesky lines fading. I am very happy with the results and will continue to use her services. read more

Denise how can you say my skin is in bad condition when you were the one that said i wouldn't need a lot of treatment, all i had were a few dark spots that i've been trying to get rid of. You treatment made me breakout and i even broke out on my forehead which doesn't happen. I completely understand that one treatment will not help but like i said, i wouldn't be going back to you for that. And please cut the crap and stop lying. The treatment did not last 45 MINS, it was the most 10 mins or less...all you did was wipe my face and used the suction to so called "remove impurities" then used what felt like a tweezer to remove whatever it is that you removed and that was it!!!!!! 10 mins or less it was most definitely not 45 mins or even close to 30mins. And i don't care for other reviews because that does not help with my situation. You offered me another treatment after trying to sell me on more of your services...I have the text to prove in case you want to deny that as well. And that treatment would not have been at your expense as you had already overcharged me and when I spoke to Groupon they told me that if i did not buy the treatment on their site how could they have been getting that money...so you pretty much lied to me and then overcharged me. Then you changed your story at the end of the treatment (im sure you remember when you added that extra 34.99 on top of the 100 that i had agreed to pay, which you did not state at the beginning because you knew I most likely wouldn't go through with it). Anyway, I hope no one else has to go through what myself and the other "unsatisfied" clients went through with you. I brought my 15 yo daughter to Denise for acne treatment. Being 15, it is so important for self esteem to have a clear face. Denise did a combination of acne facials along with ultradermabrasion. Denise did try and sell her products to me, and I bought a Groupon initially, for 3 treatments of the basic treatment for my face, she told me about two other treatments that were the next levels of treatments, I chose to do the second treatment twice and then the 3rd one last, my girlfriend told me she saw a difference in my complexion. I also bought a skin lightening soap and cream. Denise helped me with a problem I had, which could have cost me a lot of money, if I had to go to someone else and she did it for free.
