Ambrosia

Came to this newer brewery. Demo is located in an area where these types of things are common. It happens to be one of the best of these in Ravenswood. A casual place with just a few on tap to choose from. They use some pretty crazy techniques to brew stuff. Basically it's the techniques that set it apart. It's actually described as a nanobrewery. This is a quite small scale brewery that only produces a couple thousand barrels in a year. Get some of the beers while possible because they run out fast. It's about $8 a pint. Best one we had was the Ambrosia. This is a double New England IPA. Made with Citra, Galaxy, and Nectaron hops. There's notes of nectarine and sweet orange. Of course the available styles change a lot. They can be out of one within a few minutes. For sure it's a great place for those wanting to know more about the actual brewing. It's located between the Irving Park and Montrose Brown Line stations close to a few other breweries that are favorites. They're closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Nanobrewery in a Chicago neighborhood. Smallish space compared to other breweries in the area, however it gives it the corner bar vibe. Some decent beer, worth the visit when in the area. Dog friendly.

Got to check out Demo Brewing on malt row for the first time . I went for a new dad's group meetup (with my little one). It's a very intimate space so you're sitting among all the brewing equipment! Reminded me of your neighborhood corner bar vibe. They don't have food available. I go to try their lighter beers and had a solid kolsch. Huge plus but the have a shared parking lot that is available for patrons on their business hours ( evenings and weekends ) . Friendly staff.

Another brew addition to barley row in Ravenswood! Nice hang space. The two brews we tried were ok, nothing to write home about. Food trucks are scheduled, board games provided. If you came here for a beer epiphany, you might be disappointed. If you came to hang, you are in good company.

This brewery is located in a great location with plenty of parking. There's usually a good amount of space to sit down, and a few different beers to try.

When we went to Demo Brewing, it was a pretty new brewery in Malt Row. It is a cozy brewery with some pretty tasty beers and the service was good, try it out.

This is a great place, and I want it to succeed. Unobtrusively tucked into a neighborhood, just off Ravenswood. Rolled up here last weekend for some beers and a devastating JENGA tournament. Great beer - I look forward to trying more of these guys' offerings as they grow and develop. Also anxiously awaiting when those garage doors open and the patio out front is rocking. Lots of families with kids hang out here. Didn't bother me that much.

Had a great time at Demo last night on their opening day! We love to try new beers, so I always appreciate a brewery that offers flights and small pours. It's a good sized space for the neighborhood. Might get full on the weekends but overall will likely always have a seat open when you want one. I hope this will help them stay open for a long time! They have great merch that would be fun to wear. Looks pretty cozy! Both hard seltzers were really good. I for see those being very popular this summer: Rose Malone + Lemonder. I also enjoyed Young Cruiser (golden), Low Visibility, and Tea Goblin. You really can't go wrong. Bar stools were comfy and service was good! Looking forward to coming back soon.

Very good beer, friendly staff and love it that they allow dogs. I've enjoyed all the beers I have tried here on 3 visits.

It was upstairs in the building and had a great brewery vibe - laid back and fun. The decor had a big giant furry creature (the giant from the name) doing all kinds of different things like climbing buildings and posing with farmers, such a great touch! There was a bar to sit at when you first walked in and there seemed to be lots of locals, which is always a great sign. I was hungry so we decided to get a table. The server was friendly and I was so excited when I saw they had flights! I love flights because you can try lots of different beers in one sitting. They also had traditional bar snacks like wings and nachos and other sandwiches including hamburgers. It all looked good but I was feeling a salad and had the chopped salad. It was fresh and filling. Paid with my beer flight, it was a great experience! I would definitely recommend Crushed by Giants for a beer and some snacks!

Great bar set up, but we chose the dining room table. --Service/Staff-- Bartenders were quick in getting the drinks out. Our server was great in letting us know what was on tap and when last calls was. --Products-- Got the neon on tap and my friends got the flight of beers. Good selection of beers to choose from --Capacity-- Inside the dining room can hold about 40-50 people and the bar area can hold about 25 people. --Overall-- Looking forward to return to try out their other items on tap.

Checked out this hip looking brewery. It certainly is one of the many places to go to in The Loop…read more Industry Ales is a place that has a lot more than just beers, which is a good choice, because there's all kinds of people who crowd in and want to have fun times. Amazing that fun isn't always beers and chugging. The food is actually good and can be talked about in reviews because some people actually come here to eat, which tells you how they actually have a kitchen. Believe everything is good here but we came for the beers of course. It's certainly the main product made here so why wouldn't it be important. They make more than you can believe which is impressive because there's all kinds of crowds who pass through. For sure everyone wants beer. It's $6 a pint at happy hour. Pretty great for craft beers compared to lots of places it seems. Best one we got was the Bucket Hat. This is a Belgian style witbier. Has notes of bubble gum, coriander, and orange. The food isn't an afterthought so get some of that. It's about $18 for a burger. Vegans have options. Certainly one of these is the Veggie Burger. This is an amazing thing with a spinach patty topped with chipotle tomato marmalade, cremini mushrooms, mixed greens, pickled red onions, and sweet potatoes. All on a fluffy ciabatta bun. The rest of the menu contains meaty stuff. For sure it feels like a place for the hipsters but it's pretty great for anyone. It's located at the intersection of Jackson and Wabash close to lots of fun. The brewery has food that's better than expected but many other things about this kind of stuff are typical.

Five star for a gastropub. COME HUNGRY AND PREPLAN…read morePARKING There are no spirits served here. Just beer and beer based drinks. Two things to note right off: I read somewhere there was a valet and there wasn't. They said there was street parking and everything was taken for blocks. They gave us directions to a parking ramp about a block away. I would call ahead for directions if you go there. We were seated immediately. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. Our waitress was very nice and efficient. The only time we found ourselves looking for her was at the very end for our check. All our food was amazing! There was only one problem: it was all very filling. (We didn't mind though :) ).We took most of our entrees home. The menu is very much comfort food themed. The wait times were good. And the drinks were good as well. It is an open air concept. Kind of industrial reminiscent. This makes the acoustics great and the room loud at times. It was loud when we were there. We had a great time once we were seated. The Parking was a headache, but once we got past that we were fine. I'd say definitely give them a try. Just make sure you're hungry!

My wife came across a special event OG Brewery was having. It was an oyster bake for $200. Upon arrival, the brewery looked aesthetic and trendy. When we arrived, we had a small line but everyone got in quickly. Almost every table was taken. Most people were trying to enjoy the outside weather. The band was waaaaay to loud. We had to yell, as did everyone else, to talk. Great if it's a nightclub, not good for a smaller dining area midday. We asked a couple if we could sit next to them and share a table, turned out to be someone I knew from college lol! We went up and grabbed a few oysters, soup, fish and chips, and green beans. The food was terrible. Not one person at our table or anyone else we talked to or overheard, enjoyed the food either. They ran out of, or stopped serving, oysters way to quickly. It almost seemed they resorted to canned oysters after the first hour or two (purely speculation). We did get a small Guinness included with our entry which was good. They do sell more varieties of Guinness than I've ever seen before! They were serving one of their own beers to try. It was very floral. If you like that type of taste I think you will love it, but it wasn't ours. No one finished their beer. The one bright spot were the bus staff and server. They were fast and friendly. Overall, this event was a major let down. I can't recommend OG Brewery, as much as I had high hopes. The $200 admission was insane for the quality of food, and lack of quantity of food. If you are going to charge premium fees for an event, make sure you follow through! And for the love of god, teach the band about sound levels!
