Hmmmm... I don't know why Yelp says I am in Denver... I am actually a local landscape architect…read more Jake and his team at Fox Valley Landscaping have installed many of my projects over the years. In each instance, he has been very professional and quick to correct any issues that have arisin, even issues not related to him. Every landscape project will have issues (weather, product, site, home contractor, etc.), its how a landscape company deals with it that counts. One such issue was a breadown in a paver sanding product. Jake personally oversaw the repair of the product until it was fully resolved. This is true integrity. Do not hesitate to use this company

Thanks to those who have reached out and allowed me to help them avoid a costly mistake by doing…read morebusiness with Jake and Fox Valley Landscaping I find it quite telling, the owners of Fox Valley Landscaping have nothing to say about their failure to complete the work I paid them to complete....... Avoid Jake and Fox Valley Landscaping, his promises and work are worthless. He fails to live up to his commitment/promises. Please contact me via LinkedIn to learn of the deceit and failed promises. I will share his emails and texts to give you a sense of what happened. When Jake rolls out his religous beliefs and how he recognizes his pricing is higher than his competitors as evidence of his "My word is a reflection of my strongly held beliefs" RUN AWAY. This is how I was convinced he would honor his word.......WHAT A MISTAKE!! Please reach out ot me on Linkedin, before you make the same mistake I did. I have a Hortonville address and will respond via Linkedin.

Valley Peak Construction

Valley Peak Construction LLC was not qualified to take on a project like mine. The quality of work…read morewas extremely subpar, and as of this writing, it appears that Quinn Wendt, the owner of Valley Peak Construction, was not insured as he claimed when he was on site. Fortunately, for me R. Schuh Services, Van Zealand's Landscaping and NJ Paltzer did excellent work completing the project as I envisioned and repairing the damage Quinn Wendt caused. In order to keep this review at a manageable length, and still allow you to draw a conclusion, I will summarize the events as they unfolded. Quinn Wendt is the Owner and CEO of Valley Peak Concrete Construction LLC. Contracted with Quinn Wendt to remove concrete from around a tree stump and then repour cement in the area. Quinn provided an estimate that I agreed to and paid him for the cost of the concrete. He cashed the check immediately even though we agreed nothing would happen until early to mid-July about three weeks later. Issues started the first time Quinn showed up and continued until I told him he was done with the job. Issues include: * Claimed he was fully insured but according to the insurance company he gave me, he is not insured * Claimed that he would reimburse me for part of the payment I made to him but has not done that either * Every time I talked with him, the plan had changed * Equipment didn't work (likely a stalling tactic) * Brought equipment too large to fit in my yard * He wasn't careful with the equipment; damaged the flagstone pathways, gazebo, and almost took down the electrical wire coming to my house * Ground was not prepped to pour cement; you don't pour cement over 5 and 6 inch chunks of broken up cement, which I ended up having to rake to one side so the tree stump could be ground out more * He was going to pour cement over large chunks of cement that was broken out and never removed, which also meant that the stump could not have been ground down properly * Would not communicate with me after being let go

Avoid at all costs. Hiring Quinn was the biggest mistake…read moreI've made in home projects. The work was beyond substandard--honestly some of the worst craftsmanship I've ever seen--and then he ghosted me before the job was even finished. Examples: He used flimsy 1x4s to form the concrete, so every straight run is wavy. The finish work is sloppy to the point of embarrassment. The concrete is barely a week old and already has a crack running through its full depth. Our deck looks like trash--he literally screwed straight into the middle of composite deck boards. This isn't just "bad work"--it's work that leaves me with no option but to tear it all out and start over. Thousands of dollars wasted. If you value your home, your money, and your sanity, do not hire this guy. See you in small claims court, Quinn.
