The team went above & beyond what was required. The communication is great w/ all employees. They really care about the homeowners they work for from start to finish. Had an issue after hours & they came out immediately taking care of it. Took a little off my bill for the inconvenience. The team were so kind to my dogs that they're going to miss having the team around. They made a make shift fence so that my dogs could still run around the backyard throughout the 3 1/2 wks of the project. I will definitely give them a call in the future for other projects! A supervisor came by a few days after the install to check the work and fixed a few areas that he felt "were not to H&S standards." Then, this spring, I noticed a small leak on an area that H&S hadn't even worked on (a rubber-sheeted area over my den. I called H&S out it. Dylan came out within a day, looked it over, applied some caulk, and said, "Let's keep an eye on it." I have NEVER had this sort of dedication from a roofing company! I hired this business via Angi (formally Angie's List). They acted as the contractor in this…read moretransaction, with Refine Home Improvement as the sub contractor. Ramon Manka, the "pro" that was sent, arrived in a small passenger car, rather than a truck or van. He was accompanied by Ruby, his assistant? girlfriend? Ramon quickly realized he forgot a tool and went home to get it. Meaning that he was, for all intents and purposes, late. Once the job was underway, materials were needed, which was anticipated. I used Zelle to send money to Ramon's personal account and his professional account. Then, after about an hour, I had to go to the home improvement store myself because Ramon thought he didn't have enough money, and he didn't have room to transport the materials, since, again no truck or van. I paid out of pocket and Ramon never returned the money I had transferred to him. At midnight, the job wasn't finished. The next day, Ramon sent an invoice for his extra time. I ignored the invoice, at the advice of Angi, which again, was the contractor. So Ramon picked up his stuff and left. The job was not only unfinished, but poorly done. Ramon claimed that the job was taking longer than agreed to. This was true. It was agreed to for 3.5 hours, and it had been 7. Even subtracting an hour for shopping and an hour for added difficulty, Ramon still had been working for 90 minutes over what had been agreed upon, and still wasn't finished. And Angi still added $200 to the fee to cover the additional time. All-in-all, 1 star. I would not hire again. And I am considering legal action to recover the money transferred to him, which was not used for supplies.
