We have used Lang Landscaping for several years and have always been extremely satisfied until our recent and final project with Lang. Kyle (the owner of Lang Landscaping) came out early 2019 to provide us with a quote on having our lower patio re paved due to shifting and sinking ground. The quote came back and we agreed to the project. Early 2020 Kyle came back out to finalize the overall plans and we decided to only reinstall half the patio pavers not the full patio as originally quoted. Kyle agreed and said he would be in touch in Spring to start the project. We were also told by Lang that we would be one of the first on their project list. Fast forward to this year. No calls from Lang as spring went by. In early May we reached out to Kyle (after numerous calls) and he said in 2 weeks they would begin the project. Two weeks later no Lang. Once again, we had to reach out again to Kyle and he said two more weeks. Finally, on June 15th the crew arrived to do the work. The work was completed, and the bill came. The bill was for the exact same amount quoted for Lang to do our complete lower level patio and also included a granite boulder lift wall (which ended up being a row of boulders) but we were happy with that. We called and text Kyle again numerous times regarding the bill with no response. Then finally several weeks later he responded and acknowledged that he didn't realize the boulders were not done but no mention of a revised quote for doing only 1/2 the patio as we discussed in person on Jan 2nd. He offered to look at the bill and talk to us about it. Again, a week and half went by , we called and text Kyle, and no revised bill came. Finally, today (July 14th) Kyle emailed us with a revised bill (No call ). Subtracted was $237.05 from the new bill and added was a fee of $28.94 to stake a rhododendron (that had fallen over ) which Lang themselves planted last spring! We paid the bill today but will never again do business with Lang Landscaping. Lang has been extremely disappointing as we had been faithful customers. Through this process they treated us as though we didn't matter as a customer anymore. They could have cared less what we were feeling as long as the bill was paid, and they received their money. In addition, the last words on Kyle's email today was " the revised invoice will not be changed again".... No "thank you for your business" or anything. This was a clear reminder to us of Lang's new business ethic. It was a slap in the face. It's a shame Lang has turned into an uncaring company as people are actively looking to support family owned businesses which is what we were doing. My advice and review , for what it's worth, I would definitely think twice before using Lang for any projects. read more

I purchased a large oak tree at Lang Landscape in July of 2015. By September of 2015 I could see it was unhealthy. It was probably the last one left for a reason. I sent in some pictures and asked if someone could look at it before the fall. They responded with no, it looks fine. I had planted two of the same species (which are doing quite well) at my previous home and doubted that. I called this summer, shortly after the warrantee expired, and asked if someone could take a look at it. I was told someone would but it's been 2 months and no one has come by. I live about 10 miles away and told them to swing by when they were working in the area. My treatment on the phone wasn't good. My email from a few weeks ago has went unanswered. My wife called and was given the same rude treatment. The reason I go to family run businesses, drive the extra distance, and spend the extra money is that you usually get better service.
