I've heard horror stories about other pet friendly hotels and how horrible it was but we didn't want to keep our dog outside in the car so we read reviews online and opted with La Quinta. We reserved a room ahead of time and upon arrival I was pretty impressed at how dusted and clean the room was! Definitely will continue to stay at other La Quintas and be a long time customer! Only downfall was the blankets on the bed was pretty thin, and there was a bleach smell in the bathroom, but that's how you know they actually took the time to clean it. On another note, the customer service there was pretty good! We got greeted a good morning and there were smiles from all of the employees! A big plus! We were in a rush to leave so we couldn't check out the breakfast bar. I'm sure it was good, considering the price it is for a night there. Can't beat that! I'd say La Quinta is a pretty good pet friendly hotel. Big tip: Reserve ahead of time so they take the time to clean your room.

We had a HORRIBLE experience here and wouldn't stay again. I've never experienced anything like…read morethis at a hotel before. We stayed one night in a family suite, and overnight the AC leaked enough water to flood the room. We woke up to a wet floor, soaked suitcases, and wet clothes. Since we were traveling again that morning, we had to pack everything up wet and continue our trip. At our next stop, we had to deal with wet laundry, dry out our luggage, and buy clean clothes to get by. It was incredibly frustrating, inconvenient, and an added expense we weren't expecting. We spoke with the hotel and were told we would receive 50% off our stay within 7 days, but it never happened. We called again and were told the discount would be applied, but it still wasn't. The lobby looks decent when you first walk in, but once you get past that, the hotel is super rundown. We saw dead bugs, a lot of areas were dirty, and the ice machines weren't working on two different floors. Between the flooded room, the condition of the hotel, and how everything was handled afterward, we were disappointed with the customer service and the overall experience.

I noticed when I got to my room that the inside of the room looked a bit old and sloppy (see photos) I ate dinner and went back to the room. I went to the front desk and asked for a disposable laundry bag since there wasn't one in my room. She said they didn't have any but offered me a Walmart sack. I asked if she had any trashcan liners, and she gave me one for my laundry. I had an enjoyable evening watching tv and went to sleep. The breakfast was solid, and checkout went smoothly. I got a text from a Dana while I was there thanking me for staying at their hotel and asking about my stay. I texted back asking what Dana's role is at the hotel, and I received no response. I will not be returning to this location.

Stayed here on a Friday night and the mattress was in shocking condition -- clearly decades old,…read moresagging so badly on each side that my partner and I had to stack pillows in the 'craters' just to keep from rolling into them. Neither of us slept at all. The next day, I discovered that the hotel had charged me a $575 "damage fee" (which they didn't notify me about - I had to see it on my credit card's website) claiming the mattress was urinated on 'during our stay'. We did not urinate on this mattress; it could have been urinated on over the decades it had been in use. For this hotel, or really any Holiday Inn Express, take photos of your room condition at check-in and check the condition of everything - including the mattress - because this property obviously makes a practice of billing guests for pre-existing damages.

The bed was very comfortable and the towels were soft. Not like other hotels in the area that you receive an exfoliation while using. The check in was easy with friendly staff. I recently stayed at this IHG owned hotel while my father was in the hospital. I checked in around…read more5-6am after not getting any sleep for 3 days due to the fact that I had been sitting with my dad and I'm a light sleeper. So, I decided that in order to get some sleep I needed to go check-in to a nearby hotel, Candlewood Suites being the closest since I was walking from the hospital. For some reason, the guy who checked me in required assistance from someone on the phone several times and it took a while to get a room. After getting the receipt, I noticed the rate for one day was higher than I was quoted, I asked about it and the guy said that's what it is. I just wanted to get some sleep, so I signed it, got my room key card and headed towards my room. I stopped in the little store area to see what kind of soft drinks were available, almost nothing that I liked was available, most of the drinks were of the "diet" flavor, which to me is absolutely disgusting. I asked the guy at the front desk if there were any non-"diet" drinks, he said that's all they had. Oh well, I guess I will just drink water then, so I continued to go back to my room. Upon entering the room, I turned the light on by the door and it's flickering due to a bulb going out, not a big deal but a little annoying. As I got settled into bed, the air conditioner came on and it made some high pitched squeaking sounds. I called up to the front desk and the guy who checked me in said that he couldn't do anything tonight and I would have to wait until the morning. (Why didn't he just give me another room?) The next day I get up and go to the hospital to see my dad, when I came back later that evening, the light and the AC unit hadn't been fixed. At this point, I'm getting sorta frustrated by the lack of care or concern for my situation. I also noticed other issues like the TV remote wasn't working after hitting the power button a number of times and the TV stand was broken, which caused the TV to tilt forward. (Super easy to fix the TV stand with some strong glue, but I don't think they care.) After the next night, I picked up the manager's card at the front desk on my way out to get some breakfast and go see my dad at the hospital. On the way up there, I called the manager (Erick), he said he would go to my room and get everything fixed, but when he called back, he said the light, AC and TV were working fine. He did say he was going to fix the extra charge for the room, since I was quoted a different rate, but when I said that I might stay a few more nights, he said that the rate would be higher. I told Erick that the flickering light and AC were not "fine", I know that the AC normally doesn't make those high pitched squeaking sounds and there is no way the light flickering is acceptable. He seemed like he was more concerned about having to fix the light and stuff than making sure the guest has a comfortable stay at the hotel. Additionally, Erick was very condescending when it came to the TV issues, saying he would leave the TV on, so he can "prove" to me that the TV worked fine, saying he would leave two remotes. All I really cared about was the light and the AC issues, but I kept finding other problems when they didn't fix these things the first time I called. Once I got back to the hotel later on the second day, I get back to my room and turn on the light, it seems whoever "fixed" the light put a different type of bulb into the fixture resulting in one warm light bulb and one cool light bulb. They also didn't put the diffuser cover back on, so the difference was much more noticeable. They left the cover and tools on top of the kitchen cabinets. Then I went to check the AC unit, but instead of fixing it, they just turned the thermostat temperature up, so the AC would come on less? I turned down the temperature and the AC comes on with the same squeaking noise, at this point I'm beyond frustrated. Why didn't Erick call back to tell me the AC wasn't fixed? Why didn't he call back to suggest moving to another room? He mentioned it earlier but said he would try to "fix" things first. He did not "fix" anything but the TV, which I promptly turned off since I don't really watch TV and wanted to get some sleep. I turned off the mismatched light and hopped into bed, and something I didn't notice before was the light outside my room window by the pool is also flickering. (I wonder if they just switched the bulbs with the one in my room?)

The tub had mold around the caulking. The toilet was gross. There was a little poop on it when we entered. The phone didn't work. The outlets needed for the blow dryer didn't work. The mini fridge was dirty. The TV was leaning against the back of the TV cabinet which made it so the screen couldn't be seen from either the couch or the bed. The couch was sticky. The desk legs weren't secure so it wobbled when anything was put on it. There was a coffee maker by the outlet that didn't work but no coffee. The A/C sounded like a coffee grinder. The bed was so broken down the one of us slept at a slant toward the edge. The pillow was really thick on one end and really skinny on the other. The outside grounds were grossly overgrown with weeds and very high grass. The parking lot was hard to get in with deep ruts and dangerous to get out of with a high lip to cross over into highway traffic. The trash can by one of the outside doors was overflowing and smelled horrible. We could go on but you get the idea. We'll never stay at this Rodeway Inn or recommend it to anyone. We ended up packing up our things and leaving about midnight because we couldn't sleep with the uncomfortable bed and the noise of the A/C

Got housekeeping 5 out of 8 days. When I complained I was told how busy the housekeeper was, how many things he had to do, etc. etc. After a 16 hour workday I was not interested. Free breakfast. I never saw any food any morning. Furniture was pretty beat. I mean really beat up. Towels and sheets? Stained. Threadbare. Unmatched. But wait, there is more. Pool was always closed yet three nights when I came in from work, there were people in the pool. Maybe owners' family? Who knew? A dump-and really I thought I'd never find a Rodeway Inn that was nearly as bad as the one in Lawton Oklahoma, but this was a great case of "hold my beer". Next year I'll find another place to stay. I would never stay here again.
