Had the pleasure of visiting A Day Away Retreat in Boyd, TX this weekend. Proprietors Ruby and Michael create such a lovely, soul-fueling oasis and their love and positive intention is palpable in every room, every corner. Hot tub, pool, ponies, a plentiful bookcase, aromatherapy lotions in the bathrooms, and its 'cozy country-home meets zen ashram' quality are few of my favorite perks. Delicious vegan meals prepared with love, beautiful, serene environment, lots of cherished animals to love, this is a very special place. If you don't like the sound of roosters cock-a-doodling before dawn, you might want to sleep with the window closed. ;) Can't wait to return!
