Delta was recommended by another tow company that was unavailable for the job. This was our older model, small Toyota dump truck that wouldn't start. The driver arrived in less than an hour which was fine. After the hook up I asked if he would like money. He said he would make a receipt when we arrived at the work yard (less than 5 miles away.) After unhooking the truck, I asked how much for the tow and it was $215. I paid cash and he asked if I wanted a receipt. I felt $215 was excessive as 10 months ago I paid $220 to tow us from Upland. Being a commercial vehicle, Auto Club does not tow these. When we arrived at the yard, my foreman cringed. He said this is the same guy that just charged him $150 to tow his Chevy 3 blocks back to the same yard. Delta Towing is located less than a mile from the site of both drop offs. Driver was pleasant and efficient, his charges are out of line. I called 2 other companies the next morning as a reference and the charges were $125 + $135 for the locations involved. read more
