From Schaumburg,we flew to roughly where the highways 290, 294 and 88 meet, then followed the Eisenhower expressway east to downtown. We flew south to McCormick convention center, then flew up the shoreline, past Grant park and Navy Pier. Over Lincoln Park we headed inland, passing over Wriggly Field before heading south, back to the Eisenhower, which we followed back west, retracing our original path. Total flight time was around 45 minutes, which is much longer than a tour from a downtown heliport. As we were getting briefed initially, we were asked if we wanted mild or extreme. We answered extreme, and we found out what that meant when we neared the airport on our return. The pilot made a series of extreme banks (90 degrees?, and remember, no doors). One of our party thought it was great, the other was not so happy. The helicopter is the smaller 4-person model. The pilot determines who sits where for weight distribution. You get the best view of the sights on the left side. Somehow, we missed the warning to bring a light jacket and you may want to wear long pants With the doors off, it gets windy. Imagine riding down the highway at 100 mph in a car with no doors, and you get the idea; remember, though, that you are at altitude, and it is cooler than ground level. We didn't have any jackets, but it was warm enough that the trip was tolerable. However, a jacket would have made it more comfortable, and I was glad I wore jeans. You will be warned not to bring anything that could fall out of the open door, hit the rear rotor and cause a crash. Lock in your car anything you don't absolutely need . They don't want camera bags (too many loose items). If you bring a camera, make sure it has a wrist strap. We enjoyed the flight, and I recommend it.

Had some communication issues in the beginning which was a little frustrating and our flight did not start as scheduled (30-45 min after) but in the end the owner is friendly and nice. The pilot was fun and entertaining as well. Did some tricks, giggled a lot, hovered in front of the restaurant window, and chatted in the end. They have a restaurant/bar at the airport with a flight/aviation-theme of course. We just took two coffees pre-flight which were actually pretty good there.

All the people we met have been super friendly. The showers I have never used but the bathrooms are always clean. And believe me I would not use a bathroom that was not clean. They do let people rent park models and they let campers in on certain days I believe. Look forward to relaxing there in my days off.

Unfortunately, the caregiver broke her arm and had to return to Arizona for treatment. We were scheduled to be here through but the caregiver cannot return because of the severity of her injury. We need to return to Arizona for proper care for my daughter. She was hospitalized here to have a feeding tube replaced and now needs to return home for further care. I to Debbie and was told there would be no refund of my money. There seems to be no sympathy or care for families. I hope the people here do not end up having problems like we've had and I asked, God bless you.

He and the first mate also let us help with some of the sailing tasks. The Radiance is an impressive boat, and even with light winds, we got a good taste of sailing on Lake Michigan. An added bonus is launching out of Montrose Harbor, which is surrounded by a park, golf course, nature trail, food spots and places to swim.

We were a group of 6 and looking for a weekend 2 hour sail. Since I was booking last minute, most of the other charters I enquired were either booked or quoted jaw dropping rates. Captain Ben accommodated us all on his amazing race boat at a fairly reasonable rate. He is a professional racer and it showed when he cruised the boat in fast into Lake Michigan., much to our thrill. We took out own beer and some food. He provides you with drinking water and a place to cook too. Captain Ben is an instructor too so its fun learning the basics if you're a first timer. Wish we could do longer but with friends flying out and everything, we could sail for only 2 hours. But it was an amazing experience and my friends loved it. We will definitely go back.

I was looking for a very unique experience in the city of Chicago, I really only wanted to try two things kayaking was one and a segway experience was the second. There are a few options out there to Segway, in fact, I originally signed up for another segway company but was canceled at the last minute. I turned to Google to find an alternative and Segway Experience seemed to be the most convenient to where I was and cost-effective. Mike made the experience a phenomenal one. He was both professional and knowledgeable. I might add he is very funny and his insights are engaging. At the end of November. In Chicago. I think Segways are pretty ridiculous looking, and frequently cackle at the people riding Segways around the Loop in large groups, peering down at humble pedestrians (yeah, I'm the worst). I crossed my fingers that no one I knew would see me. We decided to use our Groupon on November 23... Black Friday. We knew enough to bundle up in multiple layers and wear hats/earmuffs and gloves. We arrived a little early to the building (right near DePaul's downtown campus, next to the Corner Bakery Cafe and the Chicago Architecture Foundation), signed some paperwork, and went next door to grab a warm drink and waste some time. Our tour wound up being pretty small - just me, my dad, and one other person who had taken Segway tours before. We watched a little safety video, then our guide, Damian, offered us snowsuits. We all declined - my dad and I are pretty used to the cold, and we had plenty of layers already. We were assigned Segways and brought them out across the street for a little lesson in Segway riding - which is very easy - then we were off! It was freezing, obviously, but that was expected, and the only things that were a problem were my face and, after a little while, my hands - but that couldn't really be prevented. Some of my favorite bits of the tour were riding around the Museum Campus and Soldier Field, and down by the lakefront (though that was the coldest part). Damian was a great tour guide, very friendly and eager to answer any questions. And I have to say, I really loved riding the Segway... But don't tell anyone, because I will deny it.

What an extraordinary experience we had renting Elegant RV's luxury RV. We wanted to drive one-way…read moreto Florida to see my parents but fly back. Phil the owner of Elegant Rv Rental was able to arrange for us to be dropped off at the airport. The Mercedes RV is absolutely beautiful, runs quietly, smooth on the road and gets pretty good fuel mileage. Our trip was 7 days so we got to stop in different towns along the way and take in some beautiful Tennessee scenery. We are a family of 4 which was a little tight when we stayed overnight in the Rv, but the rest of the nights we just stayed in hotels. Having room for the kids, able to feed everyone good food and staying overnight by the lakefront without a tent was amazing. If you want to take a family road trip in a comfortable RV, this is the way to go!
